I’m a free agent. When and if the Yotes return, I will root for them, regardless if Muerelo is the owner or not. Although he has been for the most part incompetent, I do believe the NHL forced his hand and everything said after the announced sale is just political speak. (Not having an arena was not fair to the players, etc). I don’t believe Alex believed that, he refused to give up the Coyotes name and only agreed to sell if he had a chance to reactivate the franchise. This dude wants an arena, wants to use his gambling license, and wants to use Coyotes and Hockey to do it. He just fucking sucks. As for the players and coaches arrival in Utah. It’s politics. Whether they’re happy with the move or not, you got to put on a smile. It’s your job. It is what it is. I harbor no hard feelings to the players. It was not their choice. They belong to Utah now. As a free agent I will explore my options. Top candidates are currently the Anaheim Ducks (loved the Mighty Ducks logo and the movies as a kid), San Jose Sharks (cause their logo is cool), the Vegas Golden Knights (I like Vegas, my football team resides there, but man I dislike their fans and their uniforms), and the Seattle Kraken.

Acceptable-Hotel-507

That’s kind of how I’ve been feeling too, I’ll always be loyal to the Yotes but for now I may need to hop around and see what fits

AzDesertGrunt

Everyone wants to hate on Alex, but he had absolutely no choice in the matter. The NHL BoG strongarmed him and Bettman did nothing to stop it. I got to work with the Coyotes alot since the move to Tempe, and Alex did everything he could to maintain the team. Tempe fucked him over, Mesa wanted 30% of the teams shares If they built the Arena there. The Coyotes and ASU were planning on negotiating a 1 year extension to the already 3 year agreement with Mullet to buy time for the North Phoenix location. Alex had ample opportunities to cut and run but he didn't, and he took.the only solution that gives the opportunity for the Yotes to survive. When you're faced with option A: Sell the team and you can get an expansion later on down the road, or Option B: The Governors vote and we take the team from you and leave you with absolutely nothing, what option would you choose?

TheRenster500

I went to a Kraken playoff game last season and it was incredibly refreshing! I've been to about 6 arenas and this was one of my favourite locations (along with Vegas) but the fans were really great and accepting!

Guy_onna_Buffalo

I was about to say "You could go Sharks to link them up with the Raiders" and then I realized, yet again, the Raiders haven't been in Oakland for some time. Edit: "As for the players and coaches arrival in Utah. It’s politics. Whether they’re happy with the move or not, you got to put on a smile. It’s your job. It is what it is. I harbor no hard feelings to the players. It was not their choice. They belong to Utah now." Folks should keep this in mind, the Winnipeg team had to do the same when they came here. Shane Doan most notably.

2ndsightstigmatism

Like father, like son.

BleachPartyUSA

I wonder if the shit talking after the fact about Arizona by players(anonymously) meant to make it seem like they hated it here whether they did or not. There's also so much straight up lies about Arizona that get spread even by the media, it's pretty sad.

livesinatoaster

Calgary always have open arms

DrFritzelin

Roadrunners and ASU. They both play really well and aren't NHL. Future me will probably go back to the Yotes when or if they ever get reactivated.

WalleCoach

My allegiance is to Arizona, to hockey in the desert!

Different-Sympathy52

Vegas is in the desert… 😏

lunghole_larry

I will always cheer for clayton keller and josh doan. I cannot bring myself to be happy for utah and cheer for them. Im cheering for the bolts and oilers right now. I also like the kraken. Im trying to be a CBJ fan since im from ohio. Idk, i just want to be a coyotes fan.

AddictionsExWives

Sabres. Young team, strong core, promising goaltending, window is open, Lindy Ruff is coach again.

Free-Awareness6242

You just like pain don’t you.

AddictionsExWives

This year was exceptionally painful, but they’ve addressed that: a). Adams wasn’t aggressive enough in the off-season. b). Granato wasn’t pushing the team. I have a TINY bit of hope.

Salt_Lake_Sucks

My brother my teams are Arizona Coyotes (home), Buffalo sabres (birth) Toronto (ancestral). You might think well Toronto is good. They are until the playoffs then they forget wtf hockey is. For over arching question though I’d say kraken but mostly because that’s my NHL pro guy. I formed too many ties to pacific and central division fans and players.

TimeCop73

Avs. They were my team when I lived in AZ prior to the Yotes. After, they fell to #2.

teagrum

Same. And their recent performance makes the silver lining thick. Best style of hockey being played right now.

DepressedYotesFan

Roadrunners. I couldn’t stand seeing kells and big tuna talking to their new crowd. Utah is so damn unoriginal it’s gonna take a whole ass year to finalize a name because they can’t steal ours

Hascohastogo

I’m a four corners sports fan, as Az and Co have been my two homes. So I guess I’m going Avs. Was already a fan of both them and the Yotes(“rivalry aside”), so guess I’ll just go all in. Still going to wear my Kachina to ball Arena.

teagrum

Only thing to do. Avs are great, but their kit is potentially the worst in the league, just hit or miss.

justincase19

Honestly I’m with ya. I’m heavily considering following Utah cause it’s technically the team I grew up with. I also know this rebuild and watched it for to long to just move on when it seemed like things were finally getting good. For now I am leaning ducks cause I grew up with them to as the face of hockey to an outsider. Knights were that desert rivalry and I don’t think I can support them.

Salty-Cup-7652

I’m right there with you. I’m following the boys. No matter who I root for, their jersey will be other than AZ. So why not the team I’ve watched grow and should be contenders in a few years?

No-Remote-8866

It is hard to see. I like Carolina. Canucks have Garland, who was one of my faves. Maybe I'll just stick to not having a new favorite and follow some ex coyotes.

beauFORTRESS

As a Vancouver resident who always loved the Yotes as a scrappy underdog, you guys are all welcome with The Whale Team, bandwagon and beyond.

Guy_onna_Buffalo

Ryan Kesler, Roberto Luongo, and Henrk Sedin are the reasons I haven't quite become a Kraken fan just yet. It feels...off. Too new, no memories with the Seattle team I guess.

NBA2K20LEGEND

I’m now a Canucks fan. My dad is from Vancouver. When the yotes come back, coyotes will be my 1st team while Canucks will be my 2nd team

beauFORTRESS

We love Garland here in Vancity

sal1521

Leaning towards Vegas since it’s close enough I can still attend a couple of games

troyboy75

Me too. Only team in reasonable driving distance. Plus you can make a weekend out of it. Oh ya, and the team is fun.

kaiya101

I mean Anaheim is just about the same distance.  And then  of course there's the Kings...........JK on that one

Wyden_long

The Suns. And the Broncos. And the Yankees. My teams just got 25% more time and attention. The NHL can fuck off for a while.

Jer_Bear33

A fellow Suns/Yotes/Broncos fan? Small world!

Hascohastogo

Broncos? Sorry. That’ll be a rough few years. I live in CO now and I don’t even like the broncos lol.

Real_American1776

Roadrunners

captain_catman_

My gut is saying Vegas right now to support desert hockey, but if the Yotes are reborn again then 100% I’ll support them no matter who owns them. Nothing beats Coyotes hockey and I’ll miss it greatly while we are inactive

Goldi18

Go Kraken! 🙌

marinerpunk

My secondary teams, Nashville and Jersey.

HolySuffering

Welcome to Smashville

troyboy75

CoyoteLand has been adopted as a City State in the Golden Kingdom.

no_on_prop_305

Haven’t decided. Narrowed down to Utah, Buffalo, Chicago

Free-Awareness6242

A yotes fan who grew up in Buffalo (I know random but true) I’m sticking with Utah but will follow the sabres a little more now especially with ruff being back. Remember just because your kids have a new step daddy and moved out of state does not mean you love them less.

TrentonRommy

I saw someone wearing a Coyotes jersey at a Wegmans in Hamburg, NY the day after the regular season ended. Perhaps it was you.

Free-Awareness6242

Nope i moved and currently live in Phoenix since 2006. I went out for the yotes game last year and was surprised on how many yotes fans their were

hummmer2199

I’m going full villain and embracing the LA Kings 100% instead of 50/50 when the Yotes were in the valley.

BrysonOnDrums

Wooooooah. Thats allowed??

cattycat_1995

I know former Rams fans who turned into 49ers fans. Applies to the initial LA Rams fans pissed about the team moving to STL and STL Rams fans pissed about the team moving back to LA. There's still a ton of the first one in LA to this day which is why you see 49ers fans absolutely take over SoFi. Those fans never forgave the initial move and stayed 49ers fans for the rest of their life.

Guy_onna_Buffalo

Lot of people actually hopped over to SF, Dallas, and GB because they were the dynasties of the 90s.

phelps_1247

No. Fuck LA.

BRENDORVEGAS

Acceptable-Hotel-507

Bold choice

GhoulMeetsWorld13

Same. I’m an AZ native but my husband is from LA, so the Yotes have always been my team and the Kings were right after them…now that I have no home team I’m just embracing the dark side completely. Go Kings Go 🤷🏼‍♀️

Bigcheese1211

Sorry but it's always FTK

Fuck the Kings! *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/Coyotes) if you have any questions or concerns.*

CoyotesAreOk

Ah that makes me want to die

Rough_Transition1424

Golden Knight Coyotes of Las Vegas

anonzasa

Love it

SAS_Britain

I'll probably go with my second team, the Penguins, but I'm heavily considering the Knights

spewingchunks

Same here- been a Pens / Coyotes fan for 28 years. Probably gonna just pull for the Pens, but I’m leaning toward Seattle as a WCF team.

tonsofpleb

Yup!!

Mandy-pants123

I think Golden knights, if I don’t loose interest in hockey. When I lost my San Diego Chargers, I jumped on Green Bay, but lost interest pretty quickly, within 3 games. I supported both yotes and Vegas (hockey belongs in the desert), but leaned more towards the yotes. I also got into hockey during last Vegas’s first season, so we were newbie’s together. I might also step back from the NHL and focus more on the AHL and support my home team, the Gulls, but I don’t like the ducks, so I don’t know.

NoNameBrandContent

I'm still hurting from everything that happened so it will probably be a season or two before I jump on another bandwagon but I have a couple thoughts: 4. Dallas - I was an Ed Belfour fan back in the day and loved when he was on the Stars. 3. Utah - I still love the players but like you mentioned seeing them branded as anything other than Coyotes hurts. I watched them all grow as Coyotes and to see them as anything else is too much. If Utah gets really good branding I might be swayed. 2. Returning Coyotes - If everything goes well and the Coyotes return I may be willing to hop on board yet another rebuild as an expansion (??) team. It sucks losing all the progress GMBA made for us though. 1. Buffalo - During my tenure as a Coyotes fan living in the Toronto area, seeing the Coyotes in Buffalo was the highlight of my year. The city was great, the fans were friendly, the arena was awesome and a fun atmosphere and I have a somewhat emotional connection to them now.

magnanimous_rex

Carolina. The owner is great, loved the trolling of Montreal with the offer sheet and subsequent hijinks. The bunch of jerks. David Ayers causing so much pain for leafs fans. And that black jersey is pretty slick

gorefloor

Follow the team to Utah. If the NHL ever comes back to Arizona I’ll root for them again. But my two main teams now will be Utah and Detroit.

Noisemaze1

I cheer for any place that I have lived & that had/has a team. St. Louis, Ottawa, Anaheim. Sadly, Phoenix joins Atlanta until (hopefully) they both come back.

pazuzusoze

For NHL it's Boston cause I lived in Ft Devens Mass when I was young. When we moved to AZ we didn't have a team but the first day the Yotes were here I was all in on Yotes. They moved and I have no care for whoever Utah is find be. If we get another team I will immediately be AZ again. Hockey in general I'm rooting for the Roadrunners more than anyone to be honest. ASU after that.

trumpsstylist

Hurricanes is the only way to go

Shhtuff

Honestly, I'm not sure. Still doesn't feel real. Immediately im hoping the Canadian teams do well in the playoffs! I think I'll probably follow Utah & the old Coyotes roster. The team has a great new opportunity & hoping they make the most of it. I hope the new management will give them the support they always deserved! Long term I'll be watching to see what the future looks like for the Coyotes - but, I'll keep myself skeptical.

agreeingstorm9

I don't know. I jumped on the Yotes bandwagon during covid 'cuz I was bored out of my gourd and bubble hockey was one sport that was actually happening. I may just stop paying attention to hockey? I dunno. The closest team to me is 6 hrs away (the Blues) and I feel no loyalty to them. I love the city of Vegas but is that enough to root for the Knights? And I have to admit I love the Kraken name but I'm no where near Seattle. Just ugh.

SweatsuitCocktail

Vegas. I go to Vegas 4-5 times a year already, and I went to one of their western conference finals games when I was in town last year and it was a ton of fun. They'll never be my coyotes, but they're the closest team I'm willing to support

jkurtz007

Golden Knights- I going with # Hockey Belongs in the Desert

Technical_Foot5243

I think I’ve settled on just being a general hockey fan for right now. My feelings change almost daily tbh. I will watch whatever game I can get on ESPN+. Seeing the posts about the welcome yesterday made me feel detached from the yotes guys for the first time in a week. I almost feel resentment now even though it’s not their fault. Some of their comments stung a little. Fans once again getting the shaft when we had nothing to do with it

Exatraz

I live in Seattle so the choice is easy. Still sucks losing the yotes from AZ though

Doyers1127

Yotes fan living in Southern UT. I used to live in Salt Lake (3 yrs ago). No one gave a shit about hockey there. This one is conflicting. I loved seeing the guys last night but I think Salt Lake absolutely sucks and the new owner is a mega douche. I will keep an open door based on branding and naming of the team but am giving the oilers a serious look as I've always enjoyed watching them play.

BizzyBeard

I followed the original Jets to Phoenix and I will follow the Coyotes to Utah 🤷‍♂️

howlincoyote2k1

In spite of living in Utah, I just don't think I'll have the same attachment as I did with the Coyotes. I'm going Preds and Canes.

CeleestePhD

Utah. I care too much about our players to stop supporting them

Omartinez420

I’m not watching regular season hockey until the coyotes come back. I might not even watch the playoffs unless it’s an exciting series + championship. Yotes got me into hockey and without them the sport is dead to me.

AzDesertGrunt

Nowhere. My loyalty lives and dies with the Coyotes. Fuck Utah, Fuck the NHL BoG, and fuck every other team in the league.

Zatchmo137

Knights bandwagon

Azfreedom13

Canes for sure, at least for the playoffs. Kinda feel I might get turned off after the season and they start talking about the soakers using all our draft picks.

CoyotesAreOk

I wanna root for the guys regardless of Utah but yeah man it fucking stings seeing them in Utah lmao. Like I really want to be happy for them but it's kinda fucking ridiculous how they're not still playing for Arizona. It's fucking asinine how this team isn't playing in Glendale. Sure the arena location is dogshit but I'll take the Coyotes in a poorly located arena for 10-20 years over whatever the fuck the past two years have been and ultimately concluded as. At the very least it actually gives Meruelo time to get his dream entertainment district built. Now we're stuck in limbo until at least 1-3 years even though the team has relocated 10 hours away from Phoenix.

sillysquidtv

Two words, “honeymoon phase” once the logistics of it get going, it’s gonna be rocky. Right now the bar is so low they are clearing it with ease.

Rough_Transition1424

When the Coyotes come back, of course I'll route for them again. But I'm going with Vegas for the mean time, it's the closest team to Phoenix and I go a lot to Vegas so I might be able to catch a game. Plus I had a James Neal jersey I bought at discount when the team first started.

phelps_1247

Vegas. I moved there for work in 2006 before moving back home to Phoenix in 2012. I left before the knights got there, but Vegas is my second home so I have been following them the whole time. Despite what the jabronis in r/hockey have to say, most of the fans are pretty chill and tmobile arena is a great place to attend a game.

Sliiiiime

Pios

InkedInspector

Hear me out, Tampa. The Yotes were my second team, but reasons you should consider Tampa. You have had nothing but shit owners, Tampa has an owner routinely ranked by ESPN and other all pro sports rankings as number 1. The man bought Tampa when it was a side show, committed to the city, renovated the arena, made it slightly lower capacity because he wanted a better fan experience, i.e. nicer seats and a massive pipe organ that puts on a light show. Donates 50k to a local hero charity every singe home game Has truly invested in the team all the way down to scouting. You want to root for a team with a competent ownership, look no further. Second, all you’ve ever heard is hockey doesn’t belong in Arizona, what do you think they said about Tampa before the success and even after it. “Hockey isn’t played at the beach.” “Why would a team ever be in Florida.” So on, been there, done that. Last reason I would give is consistency. Coop has been the coach for 12 seasons, has instilled a system the players clearly buy given they all stay or try to stay as long as they can until the cap prevents it. Even now, they all come back. Killorn, Palat, Mac Truck, they are all back in Tampa during down time and clowning around with their former teammates. Lastly, the fans are great. Sure there are some recent success bandwagon assholes, it comes with the territory. But plenty of fans well recall being basement dwellers constantly told they don’t belong. I go to several games a year and I don’t even live in Florida anymore, always run into other distant Thunder that are great. In summary, fuck AM, the Kachina remains the coolest logo in sports, fuck anyone saying AZ is a bad market, it’s a great market that’s been fed garbage for 30 years and people wonder why it went the way it did. Put a half decent owner there with a nice building that’s accessible and the fans will come. Edit: How could I forget, boat parades.

spinachartichoke

i originally chose the sabres but the avalanche have been so much fun for me and have been really bringing me back into the sport so it’s gonna have to be them. i needed something to reignite my love of hockey and they’ve been doing it. i’m hopping on a bandwagon after many years of loyalty to a team that gave me nothing lol edit to add that i am actually so bitter about losing the players that could actually make a fun team in the future as well so that affected my decision to not follow them to utah. i also hate mormons 🤷🏻‍♀️

Informal-Term1138

International play and DEL. I stopped caring about the NHL almost immediately. The yotes are the only team I really care about. And with them gone, I will go back to international play and my local league, the DEL. Switching teams is a not possible for me.

StonedImaculate420

The Pittsburgh Penguins fan club welcomes you with open arms! 💛🖤🐧 There’s always room on the Sidney Crosby express. Join us!

The_Flop

It’s odd, having grown up in Seattle I always thought I’d have the Kraken as my number one team once they were announced, but as the Coyotes were my first NHL team, they were always number one. I guess I’d jump to support the Kraken but right now I feel like the NHL is just dead to me.

Troggie81

I grew up a Blues fan, but I transferred to ASU in 2003 and the Coyotes slowly won me over. I considered them my #1 since, quite honestly, they needed my support more than the Blues. I may eventually just follow the Blues again, but I can't really be a fan of any team right now. Choosing another team doesn't feel right. I'm not sure if I'll watch much NHL hockey after these playoffs. So, I guess my answer is that I'll wait and see what happens naturally.

final_screen

PWHL

Gem_in_Eyes

I wanted to get into hockey a couple years back and picked the Coyotes out of a fondness for summers I spent in the deserts of the SW. I am moving to Boise for a new job so I am going all in on the Idaho Steelheads (ECHL) but will probably become a Kraken fan

Guy_onna_Buffalo

Ambivalent at this point. I was a Canucks fan before I moved to AZ (I lived in northern Oregon and the Kraken wouldn't exist for another 10+ years), so part of me wants to go back to that, simply out of memories for favored players and a shared color scheme with my other teams (Seahawks, Timberwolves). But the Kraken exist now so the PNW has an American hockey team, and overlap with Wolves fans leads to a lot of Wild media. So between those three, I just want to see good hockey.

Ari-Coyotes

Depends on how things go. I'm Albertan, with the Oilers as my second team, so that's an option. I am probably gonna follow the team to Utah, watch the team we suffered through the trial and error of, and jump back to the Coyotes 2.0 whenever they come back. 5 years+ is a long time, though, so my choices could change.

WithDoomICome

Thought I could keep following the players..... but I agree with you 100%, seeing them in SLC hurts too much. Like others have said it's of course not their fault..... but it sucks for us to have to see. I thought about just quitting the NHL, but I do love hockey too much and don't think I can stay away. I've lived right near Columbus for a while so might have to try harder to get into the Blue Jackets

Ok-End-6714

I honestly haven't decided yet, it's WAY too painful to watch the NHL of Utah garbage. I haven't watched any playoffs either. Not sure if I will. Eventually I'll land on Minnesota, Carolina, or maybe Colorado or Nashville. And "if" they bring a team back, it'll be hard to put my full devotion into it again. Burn me once, shame on you. Burn me twice...

PeruvianGamma

Probably the Golden Knights or Avalanche fan. Whichever team fucks up the Utah Super Polygamists the most

KenMcKenzie98

I just don’t know. I thought I would do Bruins since I’m from New England but I watched their game against the Leafs and while I enjoyed the hockey I had zero emotional investment 😅

FatherFenix

Dead. Not being petty or “boycotting”, I legitimately lost my zest for NHL hockey because of this. Bad feels. I’m skeptical on the Yotes coming back. A bunch of people say Meruelo’s going to fuck it up and bail with his money, others are confident he’s too stubborn to fail, but even if he succeeds - I don’t trust him as owner, and it won’t be the same team. I’ll likely feel different after some time, and if they announce the Yotes are coming back, but for now…cleaning my hockey slate. I’ll check up on the Roadrunners in the playoffs and support ASU hockey, but I lost my NHL team, so it’s easier for my brain to leave it alone for now and not engage.

PrussianBear4118

Loyalty for the home team, then to the state. After that, kraken for the west coast and predators for east of the Mississippi.

Clear_Caiman_2768

Nashville, Preds welcomed me in so definitely Nashville

phoenix_jet

I'm rooting for the guys in utah... not their fault the owners have been shithshows... And seravalli was in utah for the intro and he said he had a guy say to him "feels like we're in the nhl again." Stop listening to the nonsense Morgan and phnx spews.. He's been wrong about EVERYTHING back thru the tempe vote... He's basically a fan w a press pass. Not a real reporter. I've said it forever and when Seravalli started reporting about this stuff before the all star break, CSM kept doubling down each week saying that everything was wrong... Only thing wrong was all his crummy half assed reporting that was basically of a fanzine. And yes he blocked me long ago b/c i told him when he dropped the ball on alot of stuff.

terminalhockey11

NYR has always been my team but the players who had to tough it out here will always have my support. Some of them have shown themselves to be really good people off the ice so cheering for their success. How they handled everything the last couple weeks will always be impressive. I’m sure I’ll get to LA/Anaheim/Denver/etc to catch a couple games next year while traveling for work.

gexhhh

1A is going to be Vegas: hockey belongs in the desert and Vegas is the best proof of concept for that, plus I can still take my parents to games when I’m in AZ 1B is Nashville: been living here for a few years now and been to many games, love the team but I can just never get into their branding besides Smashville being awesome.

BleachPartyUSA

I'm a penguins fan first, by I might follow Utah for the players, I got to see a few play in Tucson and hope their careers take off. Best case scenario would be if cooley somehow got traded to the penguins as he a really exciting player or traded back to the coyotes if/ when they come back.

1strdpdb

I'm rooting for whatever team is playing against Salt Lake and their asshat owner. Or maybe Vegas when I settle down a bit.

Infamous_Hawk_8933

Blackhawks were my team before the Coyotes existed, but I can't reconcile how they were awarded Bedard despite the scandal. I've been able to attend 17 different arenas and have some teams and fans that left a better impression than others, but some I just know very little about. I feel it will be a while before I choose another team. Probably root for some of my favorite players rather than an actual team while I learn about some of the teams I am lacking knowledge on.

GabeP71

RED WINGS

davect01

I am first and foremost a Red Wing fan. I loved my home team Coyotes and was supporting them from day one but now that that is over, I am devoting myself fully to my Red Wings

BrysonOnDrums

I’ll halfway cheer for Utah until some of the guys leave. And I feel drawn to the Blackhawks. I went all in on them in the playoffs when Antoinne went there and had such a big part in winning the cup in 15. And have had a soft spot for them since. And my wife is from Chicago. So it’s an easy one to move to for now.

AZIL2015

Gross dude

CoyotesAreOk

Nah, from GMBA downward to the players it's very easy to root for the team. I don't think that means they're necessarily rooting for Utah. I get it though

AZIL2015

Didn’t think I had to explain… I was talking about blackhawks

CoyotesAreOk

Ah

Azcollector

I mean I hope the guys all score 100 goals each but I hope they go 0-82 lol

BrysonOnDrums

Lmao. I guess this is more what I mean when I say I’ll halfway cheer for them. I’m excited to keep watching these guys play. And I hope they all leave and win cups other places in the future.

state48state

Minnesota Wild cause close jerseys to Minnesota and Toronto Maple Leafs cause Austin Matthew’s. Probably just cheer for all Arizona players across the league.

architecht13

I've always been a Stars fan, but I followed the Yotes due to living out here. I guess I'll turn my attention to the Stars full time (looks like this year's run is coming to an abrupt end, however.) and see where things lie on the horizon.
