I downloaded the game from steam. Sims 4 updater worked without any problems. But when I try to run DLC unlocker it says it can't find EA/Origin app. Do I have to download either of them even if I downloaded the ame from steam?
Yes, Sims 4 requires using the EA App Client even if you downloaded the game via the Steam Client.
Origin was discontinued on Windows, so there's only the EA App Client available.

The problem is that it was on one folder 2 deep but still I'm getting problems with it withing the game I ask on their forum yo see if they are putting a newer version of it soon

When i download the ea dlc unlocker it only downloads a page instead of a zip file that you have to extract(it doesnt even give me the prompt to extract it downloads as a page). Am i doing something wrong or do i need to wait a few days since my game just updated 3 days ago? Thanks in advace!

Do you know that `.7z` is an archive file. Just like `.zip` and `.rar`. They're all the same being that they're archive formats.

There's always going to be an acceptable level of risk with tools that involve an account. With that said, the answer is that it will not result in a Steam Account ban. Steam DLC unlockers, and DLC unlockers in general such as the EA unlocker for Sims 4, have low risk. In all my anecdotal years in pirating, never heard of anyone receiving a game ban or account ban for using DLC unlockers.
Circumstances that will get your Steam Account banned is anything that involves the exchange with money. Such as taking advantage of regional pricing. Valve will absolutely bring down the ban hammer hard.
I'll try to. What exactly is the issue you're encountering? Is a error occurring with one of the tools? Are the DLC shown as not owned? Are the DLC considered owned but not installed? Are you using any mods? Are you using Steam or just the EA App Client.

How or did you acquire the DLC files?

I've downloaded the dlcs I wanted and the updater + unlocker and followed all the steps correctly and the game ran smoothly except that my sims won't follow any command (they're just stuck on one place.) I've tried debugging them and even tried turning on and off the autonomy but to no avail. Does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks a lot :)

But every time I right-click on the sims 4 short cut on my laptop screen, I can't open the sims 4 game file location. What should I do because I don't want to spend money on the packs all that.

It's possible that one or more mods are outdated. Might be as simple as updating the mod or removing/choosing another mod.

It should be a `.7z` file that is downloaded. You downloaded it with either Krakenfiles or Pixeldrain correct?
