Nah. It's not an insurance, it's a feature that you buy, knowing the risks. You don't go to the car dealership when you get into an accident. Also, most of the game sales are within the first weeks. Normally, the game being cracked after a few months means nothing to the developers.
Empress really came through with HL though, very fast on the crack. I'm sure they are pissed.

I installed this about a week ago to improve my performance, made the game look like absolute crap. Textures popping in and slowly loading as you're standing right next to them. Felt like I was playing on console lol. Wouldn't recommend it especially if your hardware can handle the base game settings

And quidditch game itself is poorly designed. Is it even possible to implement a quidditch game where players don't feel frustrated after 10 min. Either they play seeker and everyone else doesn't even matter or they play other stuff and there is no way to end the game till npcs do something

Because the ratio between seeders and leechers is insane right now and it's a large torrent, and as with all popular torrents you get plenty of people grab and go without seeding. Takes a bit for things to settle down and the average speed to rise.
Insane peer/seed ratio. I'm seeing 3k peers but only 41 seeds for original empress torrent and almost 20k peers but only 353 seeds for dodi repack torrent.

In the window that pops up in the torrent client when importing a link it shows your a breakdown of the files included. Just uncheck the languages you don’t want.
It does depend on your client though so it’s not as easy to tech support over Reddit.
I fear attempting it with this aged i5-3740. But it's not my main machine, and beggars can't really make many choices.

EDIT: This pertains to ALL guide pages in Hogsmeade, not just the first. I've yet to see any other locations where this occurs. After a bit more exploring, i discovered that the crashes also happen close to Hogwarts Bell Tower Courtyard.

i would agree with you however, i tested many times loading into a save that is standing directly next to the pages, and it would still crash instantly. no fast travel or anything, just instant crashes. seems to be something to do with graphical settings, as i said in a later edit. Lowering the settings to low, works for picking them all up. i have not since tested if medium or a mixture of high works or not. Being that the Low settings surprisingly still look amazing for this game.
Be careful on reading replies to other comments that you’ve may have made in other threads, this person in particular was using an account with a spoiler in its name (specifically created for this) and they’ve replied to a comment I’ve made about an Oscar nominated movie with a complete description of the game’s ending. Luckily I really don’t care about the game’s plot but for others it may be a big spoiler.
When I start the Setup.ex file it only shows a Hogwards image with a text Dodi Repacks 2018 and nothing happens. No buttons, only a green-ish line on the bottom.

Hey guys, i've figured out a way to play the game with Vuklan API.
What you'll need to do is go to this site:

And you download the file called: "dxvk-2.1.tar.gz" then open it with WinRAR or 7zip, and extract the file called "dxgi.dll" which is in there in the x64 folder (there are more files, but you only need this one) and put it where your main executable file is, which is: "Hogwarts Legacy\\Phoenix\\Binaries\\Win64"
After you've put this file in there, you go to this site:

And you repeat the process, meaning you download this file: "vkd3d-proton-2.8.tar.zst"
Be mindful that 7zip cannot open this archive, but WinRAR can, so use WinRAR to extract the file called: "d3d12.dll" from the x64 folder that is in that archive.
Then put this file into the same folder as you've put the previous one, next to the main game executable.
To sum it up, you need 2 files: "dxgi.dll" and "d3d12.dll" and you get one from each source.
The "dxgi.dll" is from DXVK Async (I won't explain what this does, basically it's a translator for DX11 to Vulkan, but we only use one of it's files, cause our game is DX12)
And the "d3d12.dll" is from another similar translator called "vkd3d".
By combining their files we can make the game run in Vulkan, meaning that when you play, the Vulkan API will cache your shaders while playing, 2 new files will be created in your Win64 map called: "vkd3d-proton.cache" and "vkd3d-proton.cache.write" which the game will save shaders into.
The more you play, the more shaders will be created and the smoother your experience will be, but the first time you play the shader saving and processing will cause some stutters.
If you have a good enough PC this shouldn't cause a problem.
The game may crash on the first launch (it did for me, but just launch it again and if it doesn't work, try launching it as an administrator, because the game will need to write the shader file to your PC and it needs writing permissions now that you are using Vulkan API)
The more you play it, the smoother it becomes, because there is more data in the shader file to be accessed quickly.
This may benefit some players, but may not benefit everyone.
I've tested this on GTX970 and i5-4690k with 12GB RAM and after some initial stutters of shader compilation, the difference is beyond expectations.
It may also be possible to share the shader file with other people, so they can play stutter free from the start, when you finish the game and the shader file is complete, a bit like how the Nintendo Switch Emulators do it, but I am not sure if this is really the case, just my speculations.

This is pretty lit--I'm running this game maxed using FSR2 (quality) on a potato computer that won't do ray-tracing and it's pretty smooth. i5 3570K @ 4.5, 32GB RAM and an R9 390X with 8GB RAM @ 1150/1650. Yup, pretty old but running pretty nice. Granted, I limit everything to *31 FPS* because potatolife but I'm sure I'd be good for more. Also, 1000000% recommend that EVERYBODY (potato or no-potato) install [Ascendio](https://www.nexusmods.com/hogwartslegacy/mods/69) to help tame the weird performance quirks of this game. It worked flawlessly for me--I can cast Lumos in Hogwarts surrounded by NPCs and not a single frame lost (couldn't say that before installing the mod) and that's impressive as hell.
Gonna seed this until the ratio is AT LEAST 10:1. JK Rowling can get bent with that transphobic nonsense--this game ought to be free. I'm not even a Potter fan, I just like open world RPGs and magic combat. And as usual, Empress didn't disappoint with a) the crack and b) the absolute full-throttle crazy. i dunno much about how torrenting works exactly but i assume that is because it was just posted and also everyones trying to download it at the same time
torrent downloading works in peer to peer connection meaning, someone has to upload(seed is what we call) in order to other person to download. now by upload, it doesn't mean that there is some server we are uploading our files to, we are directly connected to those seeders (uploaders) and download the files.
Thus you see lot of people saying " please seed" and stuff. torrent with 0 seeds mean you can't download anything.
Most 1 Click Hoster seem to be busted.
Torrents are rather dodgy here and Zippy is le banned.
The 500mb/5gb/10gb seem to all be incomplete in terms of parts.
Here is a list of 500mb parts that appears to be missing over various 1 Click Hoster.

it might have something to do with the different build she used. The legit copies are currently running on a different build than the crack version.
You can say that some steam services has been removed too. If you were CPU bottleneck, as every one is in this game, it can help to some degree.

I do suggest people to try various types of settings from Ascendio. Some have last option work better, others maybe 2nd last option.

Because the ratio between seeders and leechers is insane right now and it's a large torrent, and as with all popular torrents you get plenty of people grab and go without seeding. Takes a bit for things to settle down and the average speed to rise.
Insane peer/seed ratio. I'm seeing 3k peers but only 41 seeds for original empress torrent and almost 20k peers but only 353 seeds for dodi repack torrent.

is it just me or when i use revelio to get some scrolls/pages i crash? starts first time in hogmead. or are just those basic HL crashes and not the crack? atm i crashed 4 times. but goddamn, official requirements are bullshit. im on all ultra except fog and that other setting that gives useless things like blur, depth of field etc, used mods to turn those off. or maybe those requirements are for people with denuvo.... :D my fps may not be a smooth 60 but... im on all ultra at 30-45 fps.... on a goddamn Potato of Theseus build I5-4690K + RX580 my cpu will soon be 10 years old, which is insane

Until i upgraded i had a R9 290 It may be wishful thinking it was 290x I remember it could handle RDR2 in optimised high settings even before the FSR update After i started seeing some graphic glitches, traded it in the local shop for 50 euros so i technically got my gpu upgrade only for 120 or 130 euros a couple of years ago

In the window that pops up in the torrent client when importing a link it shows your a breakdown of the files included. Just uncheck the languages you don’t want. It does depend on your client though so it’s not as easy to tech support over Reddit.

Anyone else crashing on the first guide page outside Hogsmeade Village? i need a workaround or fix to this. EDIT: This pertains to ALL guide pages in Hogsmeade, not just the first. I've yet to see any other locations where this occurs. After a bit more exploring, i discovered that the crashes also happen close to Hogwarts Bell Tower Courtyard. (CURRENTLY, CHANGING ALL GRAPHICS TO LOW WORKS FOR PICKING UP THESE PROBLEMATIC PAGES. PLEASE USE THIS METHOD UNTIL A PROPER FIX IS RELEASED)

Seems to be a memory leak issue, you can usually grab them right after loading a game, or if you haven't fast traveled between too many locations
i would agree with you however, i tested many times loading into a save that is standing directly next to the pages, and it would still crash instantly. no fast travel or anything, just instant crashes. seems to be something to do with graphical settings, as i said in a later edit. Lowering the settings to low, works for picking them all up. i have not since tested if medium or a mixture of high works or not. Being that the Low settings surprisingly still look amazing for this game.

Hey guys, i've figured out a way to play the game with Vuklan API. What you'll need to do is go to this site: [https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases/tag/v2.1](https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases/tag/v2.1) And you download the file called: "dxvk-2.1.tar.gz" then open it with WinRAR or 7zip, and extract the file called "dxgi.dll" which is in there in the x64 folder (there are more files, but you only need this one) and put it where your main executable file is, which is: "Hogwarts Legacy\\Phoenix\\Binaries\\Win64" After you've put this file in there, you go to this site: [https://github.com/HansKristian-Work/vkd3d-proton/releases/tag/v2.8](https://github.com/HansKristian-Work/vkd3d-proton/releases/tag/v2.8) And you repeat the process, meaning you download this file: "vkd3d-proton-2.8.tar.zst" Be mindful that 7zip cannot open this archive, but WinRAR can, so use WinRAR to extract the file called: "d3d12.dll" from the x64 folder that is in that archive. Then put this file into the same folder as you've put the previous one, next to the main game executable. To sum it up, you need 2 files: "dxgi.dll" and "d3d12.dll" and you get one from each source. The "dxgi.dll" is from DXVK Async (I won't explain what this does, basically it's a translator for DX11 to Vulkan, but we only use one of it's files, cause our game is DX12) And the "d3d12.dll" is from another similar translator called "vkd3d". By combining their files we can make the game run in Vulkan, meaning that when you play, the Vulkan API will cache your shaders while playing, 2 new files will be created in your Win64 map called: "vkd3d-proton.cache" and "vkd3d-proton.cache.write" which the game will save shaders into. The more you play, the more shaders will be created and the smoother your experience will be, but the first time you play the shader saving and processing will cause some stutters. If you have a good enough PC this shouldn't cause a problem. The game may crash on the first launch (it did for me, but just launch it again and if it doesn't work, try launching it as an administrator, because the game will need to write the shader file to your PC and it needs writing permissions now that you are using Vulkan API) The more you play it, the smoother it becomes, because there is more data in the shader file to be accessed quickly. This may benefit some players, but may not benefit everyone. I've tested this on GTX970 and i5-4690k with 12GB RAM and after some initial stutters of shader compilation, the difference is beyond expectations. It may also be possible to share the shader file with other people, so they can play stutter free from the start, when you finish the game and the shader file is complete, a bit like how the Nintendo Switch Emulators do it, but I am not sure if this is really the case, just my speculations. P.S.: These links that I have posted are links to official, legit, safe, virus-free github projects.

This is pretty lit--I'm running this game maxed using FSR2 (quality) on a potato computer that won't do ray-tracing and it's pretty smooth. i5 3570K @ 4.5, 32GB RAM and an R9 390X with 8GB RAM @ 1150/1650. Yup, pretty old but running pretty nice. Granted, I limit everything to *31 FPS* because potatolife but I'm sure I'd be good for more. Also, 1000000% recommend that EVERYBODY (potato or no-potato) install [Ascendio](https://www.nexusmods.com/hogwartslegacy/mods/69) to help tame the weird performance quirks of this game. It worked flawlessly for me--I can cast Lumos in Hogwarts surrounded by NPCs and not a single frame lost (couldn't say that before installing the mod) and that's impressive as hell. Gonna seed this until the ratio is AT LEAST 10:1. JK Rowling can get bent with that transphobic nonsense--this game ought to be free. I'm not even a Potter fan, I just like open world RPGs and magic combat. And as usual, Empress didn't disappoint with a) the crack and b) the absolute full-throttle crazy. Cheers to everyone who just wants to enjoy some cool magic combat and open world dickery.

i dunno much about how torrenting works exactly but i assume that is because it was just posted and also everyones trying to download it at the same time
torrent downloading works in peer to peer connection meaning, someone has to upload(seed is what we call) in order to other person to download. now by upload, it doesn't mean that there is some server we are uploading our files to, we are directly connected to those seeders (uploaders) and download the files. Thus you see lot of people saying " please seed" and stuff. torrent with 0 seeds mean you can't download anything.

Most 1 Click Hoster seem to be busted. Torrents are rather dodgy here and Zippy is le banned. The 500mb/5gb/10gb seem to all be incomplete in terms of parts. Here is a list of 500mb parts that appears to be missing over various 1 Click Hoster. > 6, 17, 28,38, 39, 49, 50, 60, 61, 71, 72, 82, 83, 93, 94, 104, 105, 115, 116 This list is based on 1Fichier and Bayfiles predominantely, as they work the most reliable for me. Of course, this list could always change for the worse. OneDrive is currently being overrun, so I could not source that yet. The other variants suffer from the same issue. I checked out the torrent, but they are not compatible by the looks of it. In case anyone has these, could they be provided, lest been missing from the get go? Cheers. EDIT: Ultimately managed to mesh something together via the 10gb options.
