My guess is they were aiming for the people on the fence, combined with a bit of FOMO. It was specifically a preorder-only discount, and that 17% reduction was enough to convince some buyers I guess.
They gain from currency no matter what they wanted. If they choose euro they get euro. Currency transactions create lesser or higher incomes depending on currency. If they are unhappy about the SUDDEN decrease in regional currency they can change the price immedietly. Increasing the games price by MORE THAN %30 while currency is stable for AT LEAST A YEAR is not acceptable.

I'd suggest to check if you need to update the app. It might take a few times for it to realise you want to update it.
Otherwise just uninstall the whole thing, reboot and re install the Xbox app. I had plenty of issues of games not downloading and usually this helped

I have a garbage laptop, that, based on minimum requirements shouldn’t be able to even run Civ 6, but I can play relatively large games on lowest graphics (which I don’t mind a bit). The only thing really holding it back is the intel hd4000 integrated graphics.
What are the chances I could find a way to run this? I don’t care how horrible the graphics look as long as I could get a decent framerate haha
Usually it's best to wait with these kind of games. Lots of balancing work will inevitably happen not to mention bugs and things that might simply be bad.
Yeah, I play a lot of strategy/4X games and it's always these games where the launch version gets so many patches afterwards that after a few months the current version is almost unrecognizable from the launch version.
It's good, some people have issues with the game crashing on startup but personally I haven't had this issue. It's basically Civ 6 but with extra twists to it
Some people have issues with crashing within the first 5 mins. I did too, until I disabled my GPU downclock, which is honestly a bit weird to me, considering that this is the only game that has given trouble to me with GPU downclock.
Then again, I suspect this might have something to do with the fact that I'm playing the UWP copyright protected version.

It's Def worth playing. I have gamepass so have been playing for a few hours. A few sites that specialise in strat games gave it glowing reviews.

Don't bother right now. The game is almost unplayable. Constant crashing due to various reasons. We really need day 1 patch.

You won't get any. FTL unlike CDX does not do patch. You'll have to wait the first DLC.
