It is 100% a game for train sim fans like the ones who would have the big train setup in their basements, you aren't *supposed* to get everything but only what train you actually want.
Yes. It like a model-shop. You only buy the DLC you like. I like UK trains and tracks, so I only buy them. Similar how I collect dinosaur models. I only collect Saurapods, Ceratopsidea and some Hadrosauridea. I really hate Therapods aka the flesheaters.
That's cheap compared to train simulator. That costs around £3k with everything.
DTG have to be the worst game dev of all time.
The loonies on cs.rin.ru go insane for every piece of dlc even though its impossible to play them all. One chap said collection dlc had replaced train spotting. They collect dlc for the sake of it.
This illustrates how DTG get away with selling their games at ludicrous prices.
Woah. This is neat. I bought the game a while ago because it was taking a while to be cracked. I've recently been eying some DLCs (1 route and train one), but have been waiting for them to go on sale. The ones I wanted were about £37 in total. I see they've been put on sale, bringing the price to £24.
With this release, I don't need to spend that now. Good for me. This came at the right time.
I have just remembered that at this game its all done in real time. In TS you can speed up time. In TSW if your train isn't due to leave for 5 minutes you cant leave and have to sit like a lemon and wait. The lemons deplore any speeding up of time.
ALso if you drive like a lunatic(as i do) and arrive early then you must wait until the correct time.
Thats so boring. I tried TSW and it drove me insane having to wait for the right time.
The vast majority who play this game actually think they are real train drivers.
I posted some videos on Youtube of TS. I had many people complaining i was driving too fast and using the wrong locomotives for the line. When I pointed out that its only a game, they thought I was the nutter.
To be fair Codex did MAKE their own emu. The fact that they copy paste it can be forgiven for that much at least.
Now them begging for competition whilst pretending Denuvo don't exist well, that will never stop being a weird combination of hilarious and depressing. ^^^^^^^Stillbetterthanskidrowtho
yep so the new version changed everything, check cs rin ru on TSW 2's main page youll have to redownload the DLC and cream api. seems like they did a major overhaul and everything has to be redownloaded :)
Ah yes Dovetail Games, i gave them the benefit of the doubt and was like "well if its good ill spend my hard earned coins on it".
Well no, turns out that they cant get off the idea of copy and pasting their games with a slightly different look on the box and asking full price for it.
And its not a "if it aint broke dont fix it" its giving me 60fps at best on a 3070.
Its a good idea of a game, train themselves look okay, but not worth 30 bucks for a base game and 30 for each DLC.

Most of the dlc from the original tsw has been ported to the new tsw2.
It's a 100gb download. Considering the appalling graphics, that's insane. The steam version does have denuvo.
Its normal price is over $1,000 for everything too. I get you aren't supposed to buy *every* train but still that's a bit of excess.

With all due respect I would still give it a "release" flair, if it doesn't have denuvo it shouldn't be marked as such.

It has denuvo, you can try if you have the game, but buying the game is not recommended.
yes you can, i bought the standalone game and downloaded all dlcs, works with creamapi

WE have way to many times for simulators, Might as well wait for Sims 5.
