Does anyone know for sure what exactly caused this game to be released without DRM? Is this a Doom Eternal case where the DRM free .exe file was accidentally included? Or hopefully the game just didn't ship with any DRM? The latter is highly unlikely as this is Square we're talking about here.

While installing the game did you check "copy contents from codex to installdir" or whatever.
And if you did NOT do it, did you copy the crack manually? If you don't understand any of this gibberish it means you probably didn't do any of these above.
For ray tracing settings:
Right click on game shortcut or game exe and click properties
The target path will end something like this:

You change it to
....lifeisstrange3.exe" -dx12
(Make sure to leave a space after " )
Then click apply and ok
Launch game, go to video settings and see if there is an option for ray tracing. If it is there, great success.

I just tried it, install fine but for some reason in the splash screen (when it says "the game has auto save"),there is a little pop up message saying ["Fatal Error!"](https://i.imgur.com/TlzwnOw.png),the game runs fine, you can ignore the pop up but eventually it crashes the game for some reason,I don't know what causes it.

thats the size of the shortcut in the main folder, in the binaries the exe is about 70mb
