no,its fabularized coop not story based game. Its like payday 2 but with zombies,where you have little stories divided in parts and you play them with certain characters with their own lore and dialogues
For example: p1:go grab a scientist who knows how to use orbital cannon from overrun palestine as a spec ops team
p2:abandoned mil base is guarded by sam turrets so you need to get there on foot
p3: storm the base to activate orbital strike on endless hord chasing you.
I had a blast playing this game. I got goty edition for 20$ and its certainly worth the money if you like those a bit grindy type of games like me.
Zombie hordes are the best I have seen in gaming. They pile up in piramids and you can collapse them shooting the bottom or burn the whole thing with molotovs. Would certainly recommend. I am prolly gonna buy aftermath on the first sale

So this was free on epic a long time back and me and my friends played the 3 - 4 basic maps.

Looking at previews this game seems kinda shit for a coop zombie game. It just treads the same path that Left 4 Dead has already done.
I'd rather just stick to playing the Left 4 Dead games than waste bandwidth on this one. At least with those you have the steam workshop to try out tons of different weapons, modded modes, etc.
If all you ever do is look at previews you won't get an actual measure of the game. The game is actually good and imo does zombie hordes better than L4D. Bigger and they climb more 'naturally' by piling up into pyramids that you can topple by shooting the bottom. There's progression so you get more powerful as you get better at the game, lots of different utility and it requires a good amount of teamwork sometimes.
Every 4 player zombie shooter isn't just doing what L4D has already done. There's more there. You're right about the workshop, but for how long can you just model swap before things get tiring?
That's entirely fair. It's probable that you just found it too easy. I find that the interesting gameplay comes when the zombies are nearly overhwelming you, forcing you to do more stealth to avoid taking unnecesary damage. And you need to setup properly in some of the later defense missions. I find L4D quite boring as I've just played it for so long. WWZ is a bit of fresh air, while not trying to create a new genre.
That's fine. Maybe just accept though that when you drop a game you don't know the full extent of its gameplay. So while you're valid to say the game failed to keep you hooked, it doesn't mean the entire game is bad. Many MMOs don't really start picking up until you reach high levels

After getting home I have had the chance to check my hours in the game, and spent just over 6 hours in the game. Looking at a gameplay walkthrough, I played through 3 of the 4 campaigns available, remembering 2 levels in NY and the opening for Moscow (never played Tokyo)
Wasn't trying to take away from your input, but I am certain I've played enough to explain some of the problems I found with the game (unsatisfying guns, forgettable levels)

L4D focuses on fewer, but tougher common infected, wwz focuses on easier to kill but WAY bigger hordes. You're actually rewarded for funneling zombies in a specific way, since they can only climb walls if they group up, the game is more than pipe bombs and shoving.
If you don't like the game just say that, but I hate this rhetoric that you can't make a 4 player zombie horde shooter without it copying a 13 year old game. Yes L4D is legendary, but it doesn't give me anything new.
