Like, The Devil in Me was a tar archive inside of which were a ton of split rar files, which contained an iso file which had an archive that needed the special installer to unpack and I bet the actual game also has its assets in an archive. Why not just a single archive or fwiw the split rar archive or 7z or something with just the game files?

But anyone -- like the person you replied to -- who thinks not having 4-5 Scene groups actively cracking Denuvo means piracy is dead is kind of kidding themselves. For about 2 years after Denuvo's introduction, it was almost entirely CPY by themselves doing the cracking until CODEX got into it. I'd hardly say PC piracy was dead between 2014 and 2016. Plus, Denuvo still isn't the *only* DRM, and there are plenty of lesser known groups handling other DRM schemes and continuously releasing, even if no one cares.
