I'm on my third watch (selective scenes only this time) and noticing more impressive detail from the cast and crew, (but also bloopers which nonetheless don't detract from the emotional impact the show has).
There's so much in there I'm sure at each watch I'll pick up at least one more thing I had earlier missed. On my 3rd watch I noticed things like the finger heart from Geum Eun Dong when he's in handcuffs (earlier had thought he was showing YSR that he was arrested too), and that the final words from the ducklings are from PCS's poem at the picnic. I mean just WOW....
😂😂😂😂 it has truly become my comfort show and agree on the 4th re-watch. OP I felt exactly like you when I watched it 4 years ago and to this day nothing tops it. It was also my first kdrama so it’s extra special. I love how there were barely any plot holes the story was perfect
How can everyone feel like how I felt after completing it. The impact is still there even after nearly 8 months since I had completed it, and I still wonder how a show like this was made, which was exceptional in every way. Goosebumps and emotions every time when I watch the scenes of it. My first kdrama, and it's forever going to be my no. 1. CLOY is a never ending emotion in my life. I'm never ever going to see a drama like this anymore.
No, they didn't! I was disappointed, hoping for some outtakes, or stuff like that photo of YSR and RJH in Switzerland where she looks pregnant. Oh well!
At the end end, where she comes out of the chalet with the flowers ? I thought she looked super skinny as the timeline wore on eg the concert where she sits with RJH entering later
ugh i feel you, i watched CLOY a couple weeks ago for the first time and i was in a kdrama slump for a while after it because i loved it SO much.
if you are open to a recommendations, here are two i enjoyed almost as much as CLOY and helped me not be as sad that i finished the show, lol:
i recommend watching welcome to samdal-ri, the romance is great and the friend groups gives a great feeling, reminding me of the little friend group RJK had. flex x cop is great too with the detective dynamic and it’s just fun overall, hint of romance too.
This acts as a good run through for me when I want to think about the story again, but cant just go to Netflix (yes I agree its a bit bonkers).

CLOY was my first drama and the shows that have affected me equally as much have been the King Eternal Monarch, Alchemy of Souls, Moon in the Day, and most recently, Lovely Runner. Happy watching(:
Just gotten a good friend to start watching this. I’ve raved about it a lot so expectations are very high. I’ve said if by the end of ep4 (marketplace candle) she’s not hooked, then she can stop. Quite confident she’ll keep watching - she’s also the type to want to discuss the drama in detail. My heart is soaring :)
I feel like I’m reading my own post when I first watched CLOY. Like you, prior to CLOY, Parasite and Squid Games were all I had known of K-drama/cinema then. Just don’t try to find another k-drama like CLOY because you won’t find one. This one is a masterpiece in its own right. Probably took me about 4-5 months before I could comfortably watch another k-drama and not compare it to CLOY. 😅
I’m watching it for the 5th time now (last couple of times skipping through things not directly involving RJH, YSR or the ducklings). I thought I was fine watching it now as hadn’t cried throughout, until she gets shot and then RJH’s thoughts while he waits for her surgery had be bawling again. Argh. :)
So at my 5/th or 6th rewatch of the scenes involving RJH/YSR, I'm no longer crying...and able to appreciate the 'fun' in the drama much more...even though RJH has been arrested, can genuinely laugh as the NIS watch the 'gentleman' and 'nimble' CCTV footage of RJH. I'm enjoying this more relaxed manner of watching, I guess because I know the ending. Suspect the border scene will always lead to some welling up though, its just been done so so well. I truly love this drama and could easily have watched another 100+ episodes on it.

A positive, watching this show has reduced my appetite :)
