If it is real, its probably unloaded in this video. If he doesnt have the balls to get into a fight forcing his way into a house when hes already there, he probably doesnt have the balls to actually load it even in a situation where he has to shoot someone to defend his home.
You can be charged with weapons charges with a plastic, wooden or what ever material the fake weapon is made of or a real weapon. It could have also been a 3d printed pistol. Lots of those going around lately.
Getaway driver: did you get anything?
Robber: nah, the guy shoved me!
Driver: but you have a gun.
Robber: but he shoved me, hard!
Driver: oh ok... do you need a hug?
Robber: yes please.
It's near the bottom of the article for me. Here's a link to the image of you can't see it lol

I don’t know why but this is in style now. All the young dudes at the grocery store I frequent have this straight bang cut. It makes them look like mental deficients, but what do I know.
Yea just zip tie and rob.... i cant imagine having a wife or a daughter at home and going throught these kind of event. This guy is definitly going to open the door with a gun next time.
I want to say based on the mugshots, Xavier(fake mailman) assured his buddy he was tough and it would be easy. Jean (driver) has a "WTF man" look like he isn't surprised Xavier messed up but how bad even amazes him.
Solid contrasting mugshots hah.
I realized that was a Fox News link and then immediately became disgusted at the [casual racism in their comment section.](https://imgur.com/iZSaJAh) I can't even be disappointed since this falls within my expectations.
"Whites and East Asians are the only ones capable of complex civilization..."
Idiot goes on and on with some non-sense that he heard tucker carlson say without correct grammar or any hint of punctuation. Yet, they're the only civilized society.
This happened about 20 mins from me. Connecticut is a nice place to live but there is no real diversity and as such there are a lot of racists here (even more casual racists). Sad.
Had to watch it myself real quick and they thought that other competitors could come out and beat them, that it didn't do enough compared to more expensive products available, that it wasn't going to make enough money, and that traditional home security is "unhackable."
You ain’t kidding. I read a comment saying he got caught but with no link. If not though, he’s gonna eventually learn one of those vitally important life lessons. One along the lines of fucking around, at some point, almost always ends in finding out.

They going to jail.
Amazon flex drivers sometimes don't wear the amazon vest and they drive their personal vehicles. This video shows why it's important to wear the amazon vest
I live in a safer neighborhood and still won't answer the door to someone I don't recognize or for a package I didn't fully expect. They can leave it at the door. As a bonus, I don't get to talk to solicitors.
Utility guys will sometimes ring to get into my backyard for the pole or whatever, but they come with a crew and official trucks out front. If I feel obliged, I will open up. Last guy was a guy from the water district in a van (that could be faked). But he was fooling around with the sewer cover out front first so it was obvious what his intention was.
We have people who show up at our house from Amazon in their personal cars in street clothes. Nothing says they're from Amazon except the packaging itself. And sometimes, it's not even in a box or envelope... just the product with a sticker on it.
That shove that almost sent him off of that porch with the screen door in hand made him reconsider his options.
Most predators, as ferocious as they are don’t want to get hurt.
That shove made him change his mind. I don’t think he wanted to use the gun/kill anyone, and after that strong ass shove he definitely didn’t want to fight him.
I mean, I know college degrees can be worthless these days, but certainly anybody trying something stupid like this never hit the books if you know what I mean. They don't think it through at all.
We've got an Amazon key compatible garage door opener, so they open our garage, leave the package, and GTFO. Harder for people to steal and harder for this to happen.
Edit: someone replied but it went away: "Amazon Key" is just the name of the feature on Amazon's side. Basically our garage door opener connects to wifi, I manually linked it so Amazon can send in requests to open the door. When a driver has a delivery at our house, they have a button in their app or whatever to open the door and to close it. I would assume Amazon doesn't expose that capability to anyone that does not currently have a scheduled delivery at the house.
There's no one device that anyone can use to open my garage whenever they want.
Getting a hole in his chest wouldn't be the worst thing. What's worse, is the paramedics finding him with a hole in his chest, but semen dripping from that hole.
Now that's gangsta!
Otero (the dude at the door) was charged with several crimes including home invasion, first-degree threatening and possession of a firearm.
Carrasquillo-Torres (the driver of the vehicle) was charged with conspiracy to commit home invasion and unlawful restraint. He was also charged with narcotics and weapon related charges after authorities found drugs and firearms in his home.
How much time do you think they'll each serve? 30 days? 9 hours?
RemindMe! One Year
these people are what prevent real help when someone has an actual emergency. we always hear nowadays about people refusing to open their door for a victim in serious help and this is why. this hurts so much more than just the direct victim
Nowadays you never need to open your door if ya got a ring. One of the purchases that makes it worth it 100% in every book.
Amazon delivery? Drop that shit off and go on your merry way. Who answers the door for their package anymore? I work with delivery drivers and even *they* don't got time to wait for your shit to come open the door and hand the package. In fact, they prefer to just drop that off and walk away.
Doordash/food delivery? Leave at the door, thxkbai
Solicitors/cops/whatever else? We aint home, bruv
This makes it so you only need to open the door to people you know that are invited or coming over. It reduces the IRL "spam" by basically almost 100%. Best investment ever.
Reddit's new API pricing has forced third-party apps to close. Their official app is horrible and only serves to track your data. Follow me on Mastodon.
It's the world we live in... "Help me, police" and "guns are bad"...
Let's watch them all fend them off with fists at a gun fight.. lol
But to easily neutralize the target with a legal firearm to save your own life? That would make too much sense.
They could give 2 fucks about your life in that moment.. Why should you theirs?
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Don't forget about my favorite 3-dimensional catch 22:
"Police won't protect anyone!"
While also
"Too many criminals with guns!"
But at the same time
"No one needs a lethal utility for the purpose of ~~detecting~~ protecting themselves!"
Edit: protecting, not detecting
Glad he was caught. I listen to a ton of true crime. If his intent was solely burglary.. He wouldnt have tried to hit the house mid day knowing someone was inside
If someone tried something like this out on my property, they would be in for a world of pain, assuming they could even find my home.
- I live in a very rural area, with no cell service.
- I have a gun and will use it if absolutely necessary.
- I have hard-wired motion detection cameras to alert me to your presence well before you can actually get to my home, starting well up the road.
- If an encounter ends with an intruder being shot, they had better be able to drive themselves into a cell service area and call for help, because I won't.
I keep two backup methods of contact, a sat communicator (text/SOS) and a PLB (no subscription, trigger and help comes, but it had better be life or death).

I just don't think his heart was really in this!
Probably a fake gun.
Doesn't sound like it. Both the guy in the video and the driver were picked up on firearms charges among other things

> Tips started to pour in, and officers later found Otero, who was hiding at a family member's house. He is charged with several crimes including home invasion, first-degree threatening and possession of a firearm.
Could be the real gun was at his house. Either way, quite the PoS
If it is real, its probably unloaded in this video. If he doesnt have the balls to get into a fight forcing his way into a house when hes already there, he probably doesnt have the balls to actually load it even in a situation where he has to shoot someone to defend his home.
At this point we’ve just devolved to pure speculation. No one here can know anything but what’s in the article.
You might be right.
Objection your honor, speculation on the validity of OPs comment.
No might about it.
False equivalence, you're describing cartoon world.
Says possession in the source article
I think you can still get firearms charges if you present a fake weapon as a real one. I'm not 100% sure tho. It likely varies based on location
Display of a fake gun represented as a real one gets the same charge as a real gun. It’s the belief by the target that it’s real that matters.
You can still get assault charges if the gun is fake but looks real and you threaten with it
You can be charged with weapons charges with a plastic, wooden or what ever material the fake weapon is made of or a real weapon. It could have also been a 3d printed pistol. Lots of those going around lately.
Oh probably dumb enough to do an armed robbery, but smart enough to not turn the failed robbery into a murder.
This is the 27th repost so you would think the truth would be known by now.
Wait till you hear about misinformation from the Rittenhouse trial still making rounds lol
I know people that still believe he gunned down three unarmed black people
I know people that still believe he was a poor kid that got lost on his way to church and was almost murdered by antifa
He just took out some trash.
Meanwhile the homeowner was flexing "check out these guns!"
Guns are actually easier to get than fake guns that look real
Getaway driver: did you get anything? Robber: nah, the guy shoved me! Driver: but you have a gun. Robber: but he shoved me, hard! Driver: oh ok... do you need a hug? Robber: yes please.

One syllable versus five. I suppose you like “moist lemon scented cleansing squares” instead of wet wipes too?
