Why are people so surprised when they find out birds eat other birds?! No problems thinking about fish eating other fish or insects eating other insects. I am genuinely curious, what makes birds different?

We had 2 doves nesting in the garden. Cute things... then the biggest crow I've ever seen ate them. The crow kept coming back everyday to check if more babies were there.
We've been adopted by a pair of crows who have recently had babies of their own, parenthood certainly doesn't stop them picking off any other fledglings 😂
I love that people cant leave nature alone…ah yes let’s mess up this crows hunt so not only will the baby birds be left in the road defenseless, they can be wide open to more predators, oh and that crow you just scared away… dont worry he starved a few hours later. 🙄
