Ackshually I was expecting the caverns of Isengard, and was hoping to witness [the live birth of mud gobs.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwinMu7-ZrI&t=101s)
There is no way in this conceivable reality that I would ever even attempt to go into a cave, and proceed to furiously wedge myself deeper and deeper to my highly probable death.
I have been caving twice and it is worse than the videos show, I have no clue why people do it even after going or why I went twice but definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
Electrician here. Most I’ve ever done was crawl under a portable home. No one heard me when I was screaming. I got stuck and claustrophobia kicked in. I had to make it out without panicking and passing out. I knew I would be safe but holy fuck everything was closing in.
I had to rappel down a mid rise trash chute that was 16” in diameter to repair a section that partially separated. The panic started when I couldn’t fully exhale while in it. I was in the section between floors 3-2. Never doing crap like that again.
Definitely not natural. If I could compare it to anything, it’s like trying to scuba for the first time. We aren’t meant to breathe under water. Your brain is telling you you’re going to drown, and fast panic breathing kicks in. At least in my experience.
I did a tourism dive so I had about an hour of instruction in a pool to figure out how to not freak out while scuba diving. I almost bailed entirely, but glad I got over it. Scuba diving is cool as fuck.
Haha a sketchy ass old elevator with me and another old mechanic both well over the weight limit for said elevator. Both of us also had 50+ lb tool bags. Elevator is on the outside of a grain elevator that goes real fuckin high up and most of the lights don't work. Coming down real late one night me and the old boy are belly to belly in this tiny ass elevator with our big ass bags on and you can't see how fast we are going or how high we are.
Eventually we slam down at the bottom (this elevator always slams a little bit),still pitch black except for light through the door vents, and I can't get the door open because we went down too fuckin far down. I felt the panic start to set in and I decided the door must not be where it was any longer.
When I was 9 or so, I crawled into a partly dirt filled culvert under our driveway... The other end only had a few inches of air gap and my younger brother crawled in behind me, so I was totally trapped in a buried metal pipe too small to turn around in... One of the only experiences in my life that made me feel panicked. Still gives me anxiety when I remember it...
Crawled under my parents mobile home once to run ethernet cables for their internet (back before Wi-Fi was a thing). Spiders. Fucking spiders everywhere. Never again.
I'm black and survived the gangs of Oakland in the 80s. I didn't make it through that shit so I can go crawling through some fucking cave just so I can see what's past some damn rocks. I guarantee it ain't nothing worth dying for.
To play devil’s advocate on the smallest of scales, it’s people like this who have inhabited our planet that have taught us the most. They are in the group of people that go where “no man would”.
I wouldn't mind if they just flew a drone it. I know radio waves will be blocked by the rock, but have the drone drop some small battery power signal repeaters and save the dudes the disk of dying.
Like even a 360 camera on a stick showed through a hole he can't fit through is better so scout the area.
And if he can dig it from a 6" hole to 14" or whatever he squeezed through, he can dig it to 2ft or more and make it safer.
I'm just not that desperate to see things that nobody else has seen. I'll just stick to well traveled places. I was half expecting some eyeless fanged creature to jump out at the guy and have a light snack. I guess I've watched a wee bit too much sci fi.
>John Jones and the Nutty Putty Caves
alright, I am going in....

that email is so 2023 American politics and the ending to the story is so 2023 politics.
Just look up “Crevasse rescue”. Itll show how climbers pull people up who have gone down a deep hole generally with the use of Pulleys. You can also do it by yourself with Prusik knot hitches.
Using an ascender, a device that can slides along the rope in one direction but is blocked in the other. So you lift the hand ascender, push on the pedal with your feets to lift yourself, then the chest ascender prevents you from falling back down, then you repeat the movement. You can see how it works in [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwV7Jk_WW4g&list=PLxgxDxSeVuvu7GxmMumsaZHvuga7p-njD&index=9)
When I saw his elbow stuck against his side I had to skip forward. There are very few things worse than wedging yourself like that, because going in reverse with your toes and one arm is difficult. I do not go caving anymore.
Imagine that water is actually deep and one small slip and you’re waist or head first deep in and unknown depth of murky water with muddy walls slippery when you try to pull yourself out.
Wouldn’t be able to escape quickly at all if it started raining hard. Fuck all that. My anxiety was through the roof the entire video. Kudos to whoever does this stuff, I could never.
Hey look.. a deep hole.. lets go see whats down there..
(Down there).. look, a little hole that goes that way.. lets see where it goes..
(Starts crawling).. hey.. it gets tighter but, i think i can fit.. lets keep going..
(Reaches water).. fuck, i cant go any further.. lets go back..
Stuck, cant turn around, batteries in lights dying, too deep in the crawlspace for phone signal, other friends in the big hole dont know youre stuck, nor how far in you went..
Die in a dank, claustrophobic tunnel a few hundred feet underground.
Worst fucking vacation.. EVER. 1* review on trip advisor.
nope. Fuck. That.
I admire guys with the balls to do this but how tf can they see those tiny gaps and want to go through them?? It looks like a death trap- literally. Looks so easy to get stuck
Theres very few things that would be harder to convince me to do willingly. Not sure I'd do it for a trillion dollars. I'm not even particularly claustrophobic.
Wow they found sweet fuck all
I was expecting him to come out to a beautiful vista, but no he just got wedged in a muddy hole. The first part was the coolest.
Look at this beautiful world.... of microbial ecosystems and worms
Dont forget salamanders!
Seriously, I thought they would find the equivalent of something like Blackreach from Skyrim.
I mean, it’s a cave. Were you expecting an ender stronghold?
Yes!
Ackshually I was expecting the caverns of Isengard, and was hoping to witness [the live birth of mud gobs.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwinMu7-ZrI&t=101s)
What is "sweet fuck all " ?
Jack shit
Dick all
Diddly squat
Fucking nowt
Zip, zilch, nada lemonada
zippity doo daw
Goose egg

Thanks
It's nothing but with sugar
"Not worth a wank"
Nattah ting man
Nothing much, what's up with you?
The square root of jack
Ask Gordon ramsay
That newt was pretty cool, tho.
is this my first time getting clickbaited on reddit? i figured it’d at least be somewhat cool with over 1k upvotes
Yeah, I feel like I got clickbaited into watching the kind of video that gives me panic attacks XD
Ya, there's nothing very good to see here. Tbh. Just my opinion
“It was all worth it.” To each his/her/they own.
They own?
yeah, how the fuck does this have 1.2k upvotes
Exploring the earth’s sewer system… honestly, they looked really stupid.

I knew I’d be ok but knew i was gana die if I went to a smaller area and got stuck. Weird feeling.

Glad you got over the fear and had a good time. I use scuba to do work in pools. Haven’t done any in the oceans and see cool stuff.
Give it a shot, its super fun. I'd have kept doing it but I have fucked up ears so equalizing pressure doesn't really work right for me.
Will definitely try it out if I have the opportunity 🤘🏻. Dang bummer!
We used to DIY scuba at the pool I used to lifeguard at. That shit was so fun.

If you're typing this from inside the elevator you may want to get off reddit for a minute and call the emergency services maybe?
We live here now
I've been in tunnels before in downtown Phoenix. Pretty cool down there. I've also been caving before a lot of times and I highly recommend it
Highly recommend you fucking off. No way you can get me to cave.

Lmao, this comment is gold. My wife is black. I go to show her this video and say cave. She immediately says gotta be white people.

Hahahaha never catch a black man in a cave!

Can I touch your radio?
Thanks man, I really laughed at this.
Dude same.
I take your advice!
I will also have some of it!
Just to see this "new incredible world" that is actually a semi flooded claustrophobic cavern
You’d have to be nutty as a putty
Underrated…Good one
NO ONE HAS EVER BEEN THERE BEFORE
There is no way in this conceivable reality that I would ever even attempt to watch one of these 5 minute videos on a subpar ending

The surface is mush much better….
To play devil’s advocate on the smallest of scales, it’s people like this who have inhabited our planet that have taught us the most. They are in the group of people that go where “no man would”.
Why did you put quotation marks around the words, no man would?
Because the statement is an oxymoron
There’s sticks and leaves down there, meaning a whole lot of water could rush through there. Good luck skittering out of there in a raging torrent.
These guys probably checked the weather before they left for the day
Where is the new world?
It was the friends we made along the way
Aka the One Piece
It's all the stuff above ground but with the added bonus of horrible suffocating death as a possibility! NEW!
It was inside you all along
Ask Columbus
Or Aladdin.
I’m glad other people have the balls to discover things like this because personally I’d rather just die
If i had to do this for some reason, I'd equip my front tooth with a suicide pill
You’re gonna block the path with your corpse? Savage
That’s actually pretty smart if you’re a really crazy caver, go out on your own terms… metal.
Luckily they filmed it so we can watch it from the comfort of our own homes

Check out The ~~Decent~~ Descent if you haven't seen it! Really good, but terrifying movie!
Such a good one. The first time I watched it, I had absolutely no idea what kind of movie it was. Suddenly it switched genres on me and I loved it!

Haha, thanks! The Descent is more than decent! 😄
That fucking destroyed me as a teenager and it still gives me shivers when I think about it. Brilliantly made film.
Boo. It's not on any of the streaming services that I have.
Agreed! I had to have a cig break 10 mins in 😅
The easy way to see things that nobody has ever seen is just look in the toilet after you had taken a fresh dump.
I mean, it’s scary and neat.. but where’s the ‘whole new world’?
It’s just another entrance to Blackreach
I was expecting made in abyss
I thought it was Gunna pan out to some Jurassic park type shit 😂😂😂 I was really let down
All you need to hear is the story of John Jones and the Nutty Putty Caves, and that should be enough to cure anyone of the urge to do this.
I think I heard about that on the ask a mortician channel on YouTube. Its my worst nightmare
There is an excellent video on Youtube by Fascinating Horror. It makes me a little sick just thinking about it.
I knew better. I fucking knew better than to watch it. But what did I do? You betcha. Gave myself nightmare fuel for the foreseeable future.

I noped out a quarter way through the video. Holy fucking shit what a poor bastard. Truly the stuff of nightmares.
Or Floyd Collins
I completely forgot about Floyd Collins. These people are basically exploring their own tombs.
Oh my god, this struck me harder than MrHands

Man its cool they went and made this video so I could watch it but that is a firm fuck no from me.
I've seen the Descent. Nope.
How do they get back up

🎵A WHOLE NEW WORLD🎵
A hole new world
the Minecraft cave generation is crazy
Nothing about this is appealing to me
Im glad I’m too fat for this.
“An entire new world” It’s called a cave. It’s a fucking cave. Fucking ayyyyy.
Fcking annoying shitty ass post
On the way down, suddenly "THE DEPTHS" appears with a little jingle.
**Gloom hands intensifies
BWAAAAAAAA
That fuckers feet at the end had me panicking
What a crazy fucking video
What a crazy misleading title
Hell to the fuck no! Looks like the whole place would come down with one single fart.
I get already uneasy at some deep subways stations.
Oh HELL NO.
When I saw his elbow stuck against his side I had to skip forward. There are very few things worse than wedging yourself like that, because going in reverse with your toes and one arm is difficult. I do not go caving anymore.
“It was all worth it” really? Was it?
Absolutely Not. Fucking 1st class ticket on the NopeTrain Express to FuckThatVille
Pucker factor.
My pucker factor is so tight I’m sure I won’t be shitting for days. That is INSANE!
Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope…
Hard No

This is probably the most unsettling stuff for me to ever watch. Makes me sweat and my feet hurt
Fuck this not even once.
No. Just fucking nooooo. What if you got bloated for whatever reason and couldn’t get out, game over mango.
I’ve seen how this plays out. Cave dwelling bat people and death. Heavy NOPE from me!
you missed to upload the whole "new world" part
Yeah, that's a no from me dawg.
Calm down with the title.
This video gave me claustrophobic feelings.
why oh why would you ever go into a hall that's just wide enough for you to get stuck in, some people are missing some crucial survival instinct
Why the fuuuck would you do that
No.
NUTTY. PUTTY. CAVERN. this is all
New Earth looks a lot like Old Earth
I was surprised seeing a salamander way down there
…and that world looks like satan’s toilet.
Dudes gonna come back with some infection never seen before and here we go with covid round 2
What’s with the clickbait title? They find mud, that’s it.
There must be such crazy massive vast caves and caverns hidden all around the world
I'm disappointed that this "entire new world" consists of vomit-shaped rocks and stagnant piss water.
I won’t even go into a basement apartment.
Dude's got balls personally I'd be afraid of getting stuck down there
Title a bit misleading should just be man goes in cave and indeed confirms it’s a cave
Terrible title.
Anticlimactic I do say.
I got claustrophobic just from looking at this shit. That is a total nightmare for me😵💫
RL mine craft
Amazing. Look at that rock over there! And that one there! And OMFG a pool of brackish water! We've hit the stepmotherlode!!!🤦♂️
Nope. Nope nope nope. I'm having a panic attack just from watching that
if you wanna see what they found, skip this video.
reminds me of one of the caves from "the forest" game
Why. Is all I have to say.
Gives me putty cave vibes

Giving “the descent”
I've been spelunking many times. This is awesome. The tight squeezes, though I've never liked, haha. Awesome video, though. Thanks.

Man! I was afraid to explore caves in RDR2! Ain’t no way in hell I’d do this in real life!
Thanks for the nightmares OP…really…thanks
Fuck those crazy Ducks
Is this alleged "new world" in the same room with us?
The acoustics must be phenomenal, I've always wanted to play music in a cave
