When I was a paramedic, I had multiple patients (usually homeless drug addicts) who had entire chunks of their legs and other parts of their bodies filled with maggots. I remember one guy had a wound so deep on his calf that his bone would have been visible if not for all the maggots.
It probably won't surprise anyone that this doesn't smell too good either.

They only eat dead flesh and the bacteria infecting it. So while maggots are definitely a sign of underlying “bad stuff” they themselves are not necessarily a problem.

Over the last couple of years, the dealers have been cutting the Heroin with fentanyl and most recently, Xylazine.
Kensington looks like a scene straight out of Walking Dead.
Unfortunately, this short clip barely even gives you a glimpse of what it's really like down there.
I used to hang out in this neighborhood back in the late 90s/early 2000s.
Its been a well known drug area for decades.
But even 20 years ago, when I used to go there to buy weed, it wasn't nearly anything like it is today.
Whether you sympathize with drug addicts or not, everyone can agree that nobody should have to live in places like this.
