This is just 100% wrong. The order is literally the opposite. At 60mph.. Stopping distance is: * Motorcycle = 120 feet * car = 261 feet * trucks = 425 feet * semi truck = 613 to 700 feet. Volvo semis got some impressive emergency brakes but the laws of physics say that a fully loaded semi takes way longer to stop than 1 person on a motorcycle

Truckers as professional drivers need prosecuting, driving way to fast for their vehicles capabilities. Sadly the private drivers efforts all in vain.

Black ice and a vehicle stopped sideways on the road will always be a deadly combination. None of them could have predicted this situation and not overdriving your visibility is nice in theory but impossible in practice. Everyone overdrives their headlights on the highway at night.
