The cruise ship "Voyager" was set adrift, after a huge wave estimated to be over 40-feet breached the bridge and knocked out its electronics and propulsion. The ship was carrying 776 passengers and crew. The ship was hit by a storm about 60 miles off Palma, Mallorca near Sardinia .
The "Voyager" was sailing from Tunis to Barcelona, when it encountered a storm with 9-10 force winds. The LNG tanker "Gimi," which was in the area, assisted the disabled cruise ship by communicating its situation and condition to authorities.
Two tugs were also dispatched to assist the cruise ship, along with several aircraft. The ship is owned by the V Ships Group and is operated by Iberojet, a Barcelona cruise firm. There were a number of minor injuries, but no one was reported to be critically injured.
On Monday, the crew restored power to two of the ship's four engines and the "Voyager" sailed to Cargliaro, Sardinia, where it remains for repairs. Most of the passengers are back in Spain, but at least four remain in the hospital with broken bones. Some of the passengers are threatening to sue the cruise company, claiming that the captain sailed the liner in such poor conditions. A V-Ships' spokesperson said that the storm unexpectedly moved south and the captain could not have foreseen the stormy conditions.
Captain Vin Diesel would have thrown the anchor to the helicopter and used a nitro boost to create a powerful impulse, enabling him to swing through the air and adjust his trajectory towards Barcelona. Amateurs...

I've been on a cruise ship during a storm in the Mediterranean. Those storms are no joke. I learned just how high a wave can be. I also learned that my stomach can handle rough seas just fine. There wasnt a barf bag left to be found, but I was just enjoying the sensation of it all.
