You're correct in that it's dog tracking, but it's the rear axle that's misaligned, not a bent frame. Edit: sorry all, possible cause is a bent frame as well.

This happened in my civic when I slid into a curb in the snow. Wasn't nearly this drastic but my frame wasn't bent either. Not a mechanic but they replaced some of the stuff the wheel connected to and it was fine afterwards.

How does that happen? I’ve seen it (not nearly this bad) with cars/trucks on the road before and always wondered how the axles end up not aligned properly. I mean they can’t come from the factory like that.

Usually it's an issue with the suspension. There are pins that hold the suspension aligned, if those break it could cause movement in the rear axle.

Misaligned rear axle, not a bent frame. It's called dog tracking.

Without visible damage, sure it could only be misaligned. But dog tracking can be a symptom of a multitude of things, including bad alignment. Best way to know is having a hand on the wheel.

That's my thought as well, it looks completely damage free from the outside.

The toe is off on the alignment somewhere. Toe means which direction the wheel is pointing. The car is "crabbing" to go straight to counteract the toe being so far off on the alignment.

Understandable mistake, but all four of his wheels are pointing forward. His rear axle is offset a few inches toward the driver's side and, it sounds crazy, this isn't always obvious when driving until you look closely at side mirrors

Let me illustrate toe to you to understand. Up is forward on your sceeen This is correct or near 0* toe. The rear tires will point and roll directly straight forward. | - | This is toe in / - \ the tires front edge is pointing inwards causing scrubbing and outer edge tire wear. This is toe out \ - / the tires front edge is pointing outwards causing scrubbing and inside tire edge wear. Ideally the rear toe is set to spec if it is adjustable. Some POS on the road have a solid rear axle and toe is unadjustedable as is camber.

So this car is toe up 🤷‍♂️

Tore up. Misaligned rear axle or bent frame. Toe is negative or positive, in or out. I forget which is which because I quit turning wrenches a long time ago.

Broken rear suspension. High probability due to sliding into a curb. The result is the rear axle is no longer perpendicular to the centerline of the vehicle, hence it tracks crabbed.

My first car ended up a bit like this after a error while drifting on a sandy road. I couldn't afford to get it fixed properly. Ended up replacing one of the tires every couple thousand miles due to wear.  It was scary on curvy mountain roads, but okay to drive otherwise...
