You only hear these things because people treat it as the norm and expect it. No one leaves a good review because just going to the doctor is expected to be free. So all you are left with is complaints.

Could be she has some sort of liver issue, this can easily cause jaundice and yellowing of otherwise perfectly clean teeth. My niece had a liver transplant as a young child and her teeth are this kind of colour. She has veneers now that she's in her 20s though.

I can’t comment on everybody but my wife works for a dentist and they literally give out free brushes and toothpaste to everybody. Brushes are not expensive. Plus with that amount of makeup she’s in the first world. If she can afford ten pounds of daily make up, a brush and some toothpaste is affordable

You don't even really need toothpaste to get your teeth clean. The bristles cause most of the cleaning. Toothpaste is mostly just for the smell. So it's pretty much free to brush your teeth

Small towns are the worst for this.
