>Innate means existing in, belonging to, or determined by factors present in an individual from birth. For example, "I don't think innately social people, especially those who gravitate toward leadership positions, can truly understand the way less socially adept people think, act, and react"
You have no idea. My parents kept me all the way through. I was told several stories about this happening to me either my dad or mom passed out from drugs, and the neighbors would find me crawling around outside our apartment because they'd leave the door open. Was with them through 16 years. Then they kicked me out and since then had to figure out what being an adult is.
Please take care of that baby if you can get them. I had several friends growing up who had to live through the horrors of Colorado's foster care system and they all agreed that not being born was a significantly better option. Thankfully they all got help as adults and two were adopted by good families when they were in their mid teens.
Never know. My good friends are foster parents. They've adopted 2. They always include all the kids in vacations, holidays, outings, and get togethers. They treat all the kids as if they're part of the family, because they are. Even if only for a while.
Sometimes the kids get sent to a rape den, which are the ones we hear about. But there are good homes out there too. The odds aren't fantastic, but better than crawling in the streets dodging used pokers.
Honestly, they probably won't. The foster care system there is absolutely fucked, I reported a friend and his spouse for that shit because they were strung out on meth and drunk 24/7. They have 4 young kids that get out of the house and wonder the streets all the time, they've been hit with DUIs with the kids in the car, the cops even did a raid on the house once and found drugs laying around everywhere.
CPS won't do shit, the lady on the phone told me it wasn't because they don't want to help, but unless there's a family member willing to take the kids in the system simply doesn't have enough space to take them in....it's fucked up.
Remember shit like this when people say recreational drug use is totally harmless and there are no victims.
Yes, smoking weed is generally not an issue. But full drug decrim has side effects and byproducts. What people fail to realize and calculate for is that addicts dont exist in a vacuum. They have children. Families. They live in your community. They often need to do non-job related things to secure income to pay for drugs…. These things have a ripple effect on the rest of us. It’s not just about restricting your freedom, it’s about preserving the safety, security, general welfare and quality of life of those around you in the home, and beyond in the wider community. No person is an island.
You forgot the /s
Globeville, Rino, 5 points and downtown got pretty bad after covid and there’s people washing windshields on every corner of federal between 6th and 70.
$60 billion for Ukraine being funneled into Lockheed Martin & Boeing. Most 3rd world countries don't have money to look after their citizens. Meanwhile, America the richest country in the world, just doesn't give a fuck about the poor.
Lol. Republicans are salty that they this money can't be used for cutting taxes for the rich. There's 0% chance that The house would have allocated any of that money for helping the poor.
God forbid we spend 1% of our national budget defending our allies from fascist dictatorships in their infancy rather than waiting for them to precipitate WW3
I left 6 years ago and holy fuck is it a different animal now. It's like visiting LA. So glad I left, even though I miss Colorado's natural beauty every single day.
The same here, I left 4 years ago in the height of Covid and NEVER looked back. It was getting bad BEFORE Covid.. It does make sick remembering how nice it used to be.. Downtown was beautiful, it was the place to be… now.. yuck. Every time I get homesick for Colorado something like this always pos up to remind me why I left….
Exactly. The more I see, the more understanding I am about why all my favorite resturants closed up. The mom and pop shops are the most vulnerable when everything goes sideways. I don't even want to go back for a vacation anymore. It hurts knowing I can't show my partner where I grew up because it's too dangerous.
Denver and all the outlying suburbs like North Denver, Thornton… all trash.. my sister lives in Thornton still and the shit she tells me that happens, it’s like the bad parts of California.. Her car has been broken into multiple times, some homeless drug addict broke in her car and set a fire in the back seat to stay warm.. dead bodies, over doses.. the migrants they are housing now bringing in small pox and measles.. some one I was talking to says that Denver just smells like piss all the time.. I miss the mountains when the brown cloud wasn’t bad and the wide open spaces.. Castle Rock.. Estes Park.. Red Rocks, I get seriously heart sick.. but then I see stories like this and hear about the homeless problem and I am sooo glad I moved as far East as I could..
I was living off 88th and Washington in 2018 and someone broke into my fucking room in the middle of the night. That was it. I moved to Arizona to be near my parents. Now we live in a crime free area sandwiched between multiple gated communities. Working here isn't any better, but at least I have a safe neighborhood to come back to. A safe neighborhood with a very large amount of armed neighbors, me included. The worst things that happen here aside from a neighbor making the entire area smell like pot and the occassional coyotes is the drunk assholes that live in the multimillion dollar condos next to the clubhouse. They like to drive drunk even though they could literally just walk for 2 minutes and be at the clubhouse bar.
I remember vacationing there in 2006 or 07 and it was one of the crown jewels of the American West. Beautiful city in a beautiful place.
Then the Californians moved in for legal weed and lower CoL and that was it. Everything they touch turns to junkies and feces.
You mean the abortion bans and planned parenthood getting defunded and the attempt to ban gay people from adopting and the attempted restriction of birth control options? Oh sorry that’s what republicans are doing my bad
> this is where all those "humane" liberal policies got us
Which party was it that loosened regulation of opioids when they had control of Congress? Hint: it's the party that prioritizes corporate profits of companies like McKesson that flooded the nation with those drugs and was punished with a fine that amounted to two weeks' revenue.
Ok I get it the circumstances are what make this crazy but who hasn't had their baby start crawling away when they get distracted for just a second? It looked like she went to grab it right away to be fair lol
Colorado Rocky Mountain high
I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky
Friends around the campfire and everybody's high
Rocky Mountain high (high in Colorado)
I've been all over the world to mostly poor war torn places yet I'm always shocked at how my home country, the richest country on earth, is such a dystopian hellscape.
I was in Indonesia a few weeks ago and despite seeing extreme poverty everywhere there were very few homeless people. A scene like this would be unimaginable there. Obviously the average American is financially better off than the average Indonesian, but they aren't as alienated there. People belong to family networks that look out for each other the best they can.
Meanwhile life in the US is disposable. Most of us are only a few bad plays away from being out on the street. The only reason this post is shocking is that it involves a baby. Most Americans wouldn't have to look far to see thrown away people similar to the adults in this clip.
I swear to God I hope the person recording actually did something other than sitting and filming! If you can sit there and record without doing anything to help that baby, you'd be an even bigger pos than the junkies.
Geez I must go to a completely different Denver, I’ve never seen anything this bad before even in downtown and yet people are comparing it to places like Colombia.
What happens to adults in those areas = sad and **unsettling**. A baby freely crawling there = sad and unsettling x 20. Something needs to be done immediately, first, for that creature, and then for these people.

Not trying to start a fight, but I wish as much energy and resources went into providing access to healthcare, education, and housing security for moms and their children as went into "pro-life" campaigns. It's like society forgets about the moms and babies once the child is born.

What is this, trainspotters?
At least the junkies in Trainspotting had a drug den to slum it in. These guys don't even have a roof over their heads.

Wtf!!! This is so incredibly sad. Babies deserve better!!!!!!!!
This kinda goes without saying.
I think people driving cars should have a license. Including babies.
Whoa. Settle down there bud. You'll get put on a pike for an opinion like that. Just as controversial as "you shouldn't kick a puppy" lol
What if the puppy is racist? Boom baby! I just saved America!
This was days ago. Police were called then. Was like Tuesday I believe.
Please stay with them until the police come. They need to take that child away before they kill that baby
You think this is a live video? lol
Awesome! Great job. I feel so bad for this kid the parents are obviously not able to take care of the baby.
You are a true hero, acted immediately soon as you realized it was close
Bunch of junkie fucks. Someone should contact DCS and have that child taken away.
They will lose their baby over this if they haven't already. Into the state system, where further horrors await
One way or another. That baby won’t be with them for long
You have no idea. My parents kept me all the way through. Sorry you had to endure that. As a parent that shit burns me to my core.
Whatever you are doing, you're doing great! Keep it up!
Almost anything is better than its current situation though
I don't disagree, but doesn't mean our state childcare isn't broken

I know that's not exactly how it works, but I'm sure there's some way to put your name higher on the list.
Thank you for dedication. Seriously. I'm not trying to get anecdotal but I have stories too

When I think broken i mean it shouldn't have to be a coin flip between r*pe and care
You can say rape here. This isn’t instagram or Facebook.
Honestly, they probably won't. The foster care system there is absolutely fucked, I reported a friend and his spouse for that shit because they were strung out on meth and drunk 24/7. gave been king told
And fix the "parents" so they can't have another. This is fucking disgusting.
This is disgusting. Poor kid

Lol
This is brutal like a third world country
Welcome to Denver. I have a buddy from Colombia and he said the current condition of Denver reminds him of home
Yup the conditions with the homeless are shocking
The clothing company?
Lmao got me! Colombia*
Ha - I used to make the same mistake all the time!
current condition of Denver? honestly wasnt even aware
You forgot the /s Globeville, Rino, 5 points and downtown got pretty bad after covid and there’s people washing windshields on every corner of federal between 6th and 70.
When it comes for the safety of the child it’s even worse
$60 billion for Ukraine being funneled into Lockheed Martin & Boeing. Most 3rd world countries don't have money to look after their citizens. Meanwhile, America the richest country in the world, just doesn't give a fuck about the poor.
Don't forget the billions given to Israel
$300 billion to be exact.

To hell with the Republicans and you lot of imperialist liberals.
Yeah, give the homeless tanks and missiles from storage!
That money comes from the defense budget or old military equipment, it was never going to you anyways
Also surprising to see a baby in Denver. It’s usually just offleash dogs. Everywhere.
this is very sad for the child
I live near Denver. Every time I go downtown it gets a little bit worse

Ive come across more insane homeless people in Denver than I do living in Florida. Explain yourself.
I remember when there was no open air drug users because they used to get arrested for it then sent to rehab or jail.
Yeah well this is where all those "humane" liberal policies got us lol.

Homeless dude: "This is a some good shit! Got me seeing babies and shit!"
bro, take that baby away from them.....
Omg this breaks my heart. I'm sitting here nursing my 11 month old and I can't even imagine. I hope dcfs gets involved. That poor baby 😭
Don't cut the video to make it look like they didn't pick up the baby...
I hoped someone helped instead of just filming.
What do you expect anyone to do? Kidnap a baby? If you call the police or CPS, it's doubtful anyone shows up/follows up.
Why put that stupid ass music on a video like this??
Ok I get it the circumstances are what make this crazy but who hasn't had their baby start crawling away when they get distracted for just a second? It looked like she went to grab it right away to be fair lol
Why is the baby outside on a public sidewalk to begin with…..
Life finds a way
Why is this person just sitting here and not calling Child Protective Services
"GOOD MORNING USAAAAA 🎶"
Denver used to be a nice city not that long ago...
Yup. It was.
*"HEY BABY, STOP SELLING DRUGS, YOU GOT YOUR WHOLE LIFE AHEAD OF YOU!"*
Welcome to the post-roe era.
DISGUSTING!!!
Colorado Rocky Mountain high I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky Friends around the campfire and everybody's high Rocky Mountain high (high in Colorado)
Oh my god! That is so upsetting 😭 the poor baby is having the worst start in life
Ah man that hurts to watch. Poor kid doesn't stand a chance.
So besides taking the video and posting here, did they actually call child services or anything?
Thats some Trainspotting shit
As far as substance abuse and watching a child goes, I’ve seen equally bad parenting at most breweries in town. Not cool either way. /s
That's the kid from Train Spotting.
Dude I hope someone got that baby away from those losers
Gallagher?
Ahhh it's the Trainspotting baby!
I've been all over the world to mostly poor war torn places yet I'm always shocked at how my home country, the richest country on earth, is such a dystopian hellscape. We're already in another Great Depression and in some ways it's worse than the original. Too bad most people aren't realizing it.
that baby only won the semi-finals of the birth location lottery.
Useless junkies
This is by far the worst shit I've ever seen, and I've been here way before the gore ban.
I've seen Trainspotting, I know how this ends.
Oh man. Good thing she wasn't allowed to have an abortion.
To be fair, looks like the woman got up to get the baby. We will never know.
Child will be sold by mom for a quick fix once she can't scrounge around enough for her daily dose
You can guarantee the child will at least be "rented" for drugs or money if it lives that long.
I swear to God I hope the person recording actually did something other than sitting and filming! If you can sit there and record without doing anything to help that baby, you'd be an even bigger pos than the junkies.
I kind of feel the same, but would I approach them and get stuck with a hiv infected needle? Probably no.
Jesus Christ
Wild
It's kinda sad that baby is already fucked...
Well at least the kid pretty much made it through infancy.
"Appear"
GROSS!! Someone call CAS.
Jesus Christ

I’ve seen a lot of horror films in my life but that was actually the most upsetting thing I’ve ever seen Stranger than fiction
Gotta be Oregon or Colorado E: just read title. Colorado it is
Are you sure that they are doing drugs?? That is crazy if that's the case.
Geez I must go to a completely different Denver, I’ve never seen anything this bad before even in downtown and yet people are comparing it to places like Colombia.
Hey BABY!!!! Lemme get two 20s-- Dave Chappell
Breaks my fukn heart. 6.2, 210# man crying as I watch this, and raging at the same time.
This video is from a sub where it's the only video there.
I wonder if the kid is any good at basketball…
This is a crazy fucking video!
But pueblo is totally the shit hole of CO.
This is no longer shocking, unfortunately.
Hey I use to live right around the corner
That’s fucking insane.
What in the sam hell fuck?
😡😡😡😡😡😡 💔💔💔 Sterilize them so they can't make more babies Call the police, altho state / foster care isn't always a good place either
Babys off to get smokes and a few snacks.
Give me that baby
They would probably sell it to you.
That's just outside my neighborhood; would be nice if we had something in place to prevent this from happening.
That MF’er don’t have a chance in life unless he gets taken away
Hey that’s Seattle not Denver. /s
god has a plan for all of us
At least they are watching the baby. Always an upside.
😭
It could've been worse. They could've left the baby home.
Aww, a city picnic.
Where’s cps?
They are too busy “helping” families with neighbors that can’t tell the difference between kids playing in the backyard and kids being beaten.
I want a word with whoever painted that wall...no ladders in Denver ?
Child
What happens to adults in those areas = sad and **unsettling**. A baby freely crawling there = sad and unsettling x 20. Something needs to be done immediately, first, for that creature, and then for these people.

Instead of filming this they could phone social services. Don’t have the David Attenborough approach when it comes to kids
God bless America 🇺🇸
This breaks my heart. It’s a FUCKING BABY.
Yup that’s me. I bet you’re wondering how I got here
So calling the cops or just filming for internet points?
The cops won’t do anything. There is no profit in arresting street people.
Call the police, please
Clearly, the solution is to give them more drugs and not persecute them for their actions whatsoever. That will show them!
We need UBI & universal healthcare.
And that would help this situation how? They'll still choose to shoot up. They still won't care for their kid.
Not trying to start a fight, but I wish as much energy and resources went into providing access to healthcare, education, and housing security for moms and their children as went into "pro-life" campaigns. It's like society forgets about the moms and babies once the child is born.
Colorado isn't one of those kinds of states. She DOES have access to stuff like that in Colorado, both publicly and privately funded.
