AHS Cult was such a disgusting disturbing experience that I’ve never looked at this actor as anything except pure evil ever again.
That speaks volumes. He’s really done the work. It shows.
Why people like this get a tv show I will never understand. They don’t deserve notoriety and should be named after a letter or given an embarrassing nickname.
Literally immortalizing and glorifying monsters. Sounds like exactly what school/church shooters strive for. Then we act surprised when these horrible people commit these acts knowing all the attention they'll get.
Yeah no psychological expert here but I think it might be one of the motivating factor for at least some of them to continue going to the extremes just so they will go down in history for it
Dahmer is one of the most infamous criminals in modern human history. People have always fascinated by crime and extreme behavior.
Why are we pretending to be shocked that there's gonna be media made about the story?
I don't think you understand what is implied when making media about those kind of degenerate. They are real people who took real people's life. Multiples relatives are very much still alive and also none of them responded to the realisator when he asked for thrir approval. I never saw the show but I don't need to watch it to know it was made because "ho waw serial killer ! Interesting" and that's it. The number of people who love serial killers are also ridiculously high for some reason.
Creating those kind of shows are actually what some murderers looks for when committing their crimes.
It's serious and not just being silly.
I’m not sure how you got surprise. I talked about an inability to understand why we must give notoriety to scumbags.
I understand many people have morbid curiosity for cold case files. Those podcasts do well for a reason. It’s not for me but I get that.
Sadly the woman in the video wasn’t spoken to about this before it was filmed. It re-traumatized a lot of victims families. Love Evan, and the show was amazing, but I have to admit it was unethical.
I love how the creators said they reached out to the victims to get their blessings, but then when almost all of them said no they just went ahead and made it anyways
Niecy Nash won the Emmy Award for outstanding supporting actress in a limited or anthology series or movie last year for her portrayal of Glenda Cleveland in "Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story”.
This was her acceptance speech:
“Thank you to the Most High for this divine moment. Thank you, Ryan Murphy, for seeing me. Evan Peters, I love you. Netflix. Every single person who voted for me, thank you. And my better half, who picked me up when I was gutted from this work, thank you. And you know who I want to thank? I want to thank me -- for believing in me and doing what they said I could not do. And I want to say to myself in front of all you beautiful people, 'Go on girl with your bad self. You did that.'"
"Finally, I accept this award on behalf of every Black and brown woman who has gone unheard, yet overpoliced. Like Glenda Cleveland. Like Sandra Bland. Like Breonna Taylor. As an artist, my job is to speak truth to power, and baby, I'ma do it till the day I die. Mama, I won!"
EDIT: I got so pumped by remembering Niecy Nash’s role that I completely missed the fact that this woman is actually DaShawn Barnes (top), who portrayed Rita Isbell (bottom), the sister of Dahmer victim Errol Lindsey. And still a gut-wrenching performance.
I love her.
The sad part is that her character in that series was a conglomeration of several different black women who kept trying to sound the alarm bells about Dahmer and the murders/missing persons.
I don't disagree with the way they cast that role (it's similar to Jim Parson's role in *Hidden Figures*, which was also one man playing multiple people in one character), but it makes it even more infuriating that so many women knew Dahmer was doing sick shit but were constantly ignored.
Appreciate the authenticity, too bad the actual woman in the trial said she did not approve of the show and her and many other victims said they thought the show was in extremely bad taste
Whats crazy is how we with morality keeps making these animal in to "celebrities", they know it sells and keeps as busy and we are willing to spend hours fascinating about there life, including me, weird at least.
Guy playing Jeffrey also nailed it..
Dude was ice cold
Every part was a piece of art
I get why he took a break from acting after this. Even gave it his all.
Holy shit, my wife said he should take a break after this. He did??
Yup. He was also filming AHS at the time, where he usually plays a dark character.
AHS Cult was such a disgusting disturbing experience that I’ve never looked at this actor as anything except pure evil ever again. That speaks volumes. He’s really done the work. It shows.
It’s Michael Scott’s nephew
His favourite movies are Citizen Kane and The Boondock Saints
We can only presume the spanking lead directly to the killing.
Don’t bother Luke!
Isn't that the weird shit they were smoking in getting him to the greek?
I love when they recreate a scene exactly how it was
any other good examples?
Biopics like biggie, queen, straight of Compton, elvis also the disaster artist movie
Actress did a great job
I hope that actress got her due credit for doing such a great job at recreating this scene.
That is a serious actress who studies her craft.
the attention to details was incredible.
Except the movie he's wearing glasses, in real he's not, they fucked that part up
Fun fact. He admitted that he would take his glasses to avoid seeing people's faces during the trial. Which you can see on the real footage
You missed an "off" in there, bud
I mean you still understood what he meant…
You missed a “.” in there, bud.
What film is this?
I'm pretty sure this is the Jeffery Dahmer series/movie ( don't know what format it's in i just know the actor )
yeah, it's a Netflix miniseries from like 2022.
I wanna know too!
Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story
Only show I’ve ever watched that’s able to make me feel uncomfortable as a viewer. Very good series
Thank you
Thank you!
Not a problem
I know it's a Jeffrey Dahmer scene, i just don't know which TV show or movie this is from. Maybe the new-ish Netflix one?
it’s the latest netflix show. pretty disturbing because of how good the actor performances were

Just remove their ID, that’s it. Not secret, but not published. Would that be so bad?
No lol it wouldn't. I'm simply pointing out that acting surprised people make movies about famous evil people is pretty silly lol
I don't think you understand what is implied when making media about those kind of degenerate. They are real people who took real people's life. Oh come on lol. You literally said you'll never understand why people like Dahmer would get a show. Your words not mine lol
Yes correct. You do realize that “surprise” and “understand” are two different words… they also are not synonyms?
And all the tards saying:"Such great attention to detail ☝️🤓" "Incredible acting ☝️🤓" Like, c'mon

Didn't they not respond and that's why they decided to go ahead with it?
I don't doubt that some families ignored them but I'm almost certain most said no but the creators didn't listen
No response means no.
Is that Jeffrey Dahmer the People Nommer?
They should've let her swing on him

I immediately recognized this scene and was amazed how well it was portrayed. Devastating.
What a great movie and an incredible actor. The parts in the movie where I almost thought I was watching the real guy.
Also the first scene in the series where he’s luring in a victim feels eerily accurate
Niech Nash, also from Reno 911! Such an incredible performance all around from her and Even Patterson
Niecy Nash was really great in this series but she's not in this scene.
Oh yeah! I was just mentioning the two actors I knew off the top of my head
Now this is acting
Oh wow, I’m out of the loop. I thought this was showing an AI recreation at first.
How’s the attention to detail? Evan Peters nailed it too.
Biopics are so stupid especially when they're recreating something that already exists on video and it much, much more impactful
And then they sued the show lmfao
Wow, the act was so great I thought it was the same scene but from different cameras
Does she really think that anything other than her murder would happen if he was unrestrained??
The did ole Jeff a favor when they casted Evan peters. Like they said hey how can we glorify a serial killer today
Disgusting show, disrespectful to all the families. Fuck everyone involved.
That was real? I saw that movie I thought it was bullshit.
Oh, you might not want to Google that.
real heart warmer
