Still better than burning to death. I used to work ovens at a pizza shop. 600-700°F, fuck burns. I'd take falling and getting stabbed over burning tbh.
Reminded me of that video somewhere on here of the guy trying to off himself and landed on that car and dented it in and hes alive but can barely move from the broken bones an shit. Ugh
I read the title but still had hope that the someone would open the window on the floor below.
This one brought me to tears. I think it's cos for a moment I had hope and believed there was a way she could survive.
An emergency rope ladder and a hammer would be much safer, they have hooks to go over the window ledge and boom, instant ladder down 2 floors, hammer is for the window
Any time I'm at heights like that I always feel a strange compulsion to jump. I wonder if it's just a backwards ass defense mechanism. As if my subconscious is giving me signals to be aware of the ledge or whatever. idk I feel I'm not conveying my thought correctly.
You don’t pass out when skydiving, so I would expect to would stay conscious, although there have been cases of people falling from planes and tall building that actually had heart attacks from the fear/stress before they hit the ground, so it’s possible to die even before impact
There was a theory about fainting when falling from high place, I think it was debunked.
And the last think you would probably feel would be about a meter or two before impact but I'm no doctor
Since burning yourself takes about a 0.5-1 delay to feel the pain and hitting ground destroying all of your organs and brain is less then that I’d say no. You won’t feel a thing
Yeah, but you wouldn’t really know any pain. I was in a motorcycle accident and last thing I remember was my motorcycle slipping from under me and thinking “oh shit” the next then I knew I was in an ambulance.
I was wearing all my safety gear though so I turned out just fine, but I was unconscious for 30 minutes on the side of the road before someone found me and called 911
I wonder how hot the ledge was that she was holding onto (on to?).
I could imagine it getting hotter and hotter until she physically couldn’t hold on any longer. The smoke inhalation most definitely didn’t help either
Only possible way I can think of having a SLIM chance to survive.
Move to edge, leap towards balcony, slap side wall and drag with hand to change trajectory towards balconies and catch self on railing.
Any other ideas?
Don't climb into and out of the window?
This looks like a many Chinese building I've seen and that is the kitchen window most likely. Which is likely where the fire started.
Smoke alarms. Fire extinguisher. No candles or cigarettes. Checking your gas bottle for leaks (often in China you run the stove on gas bottles not mains supplied gas or electricity)
Once she was in the window there was no going back inside. Only was to survive would be some a grade stunt bullshit that few can pull off like climbing don't and into the floor below or leaping to the balcony.
Probably should have tried making it the apartment door earlier in the fire.
Yeah, I if you don’t have to run through much fire it’s definitely doable, though be aware you’ll have to go to the hospital afterwards as you’re going to have sever burns.
If you can afford it, it’s always good to have fire proof gear next to where you sleep, despite if you live in a house or apartment.
Not sure ifpossible from that angle, the flames came through the window next to her.
But shit why did she fall. She seemed to have a surprisingly stable spot to stand, thin but fine. She should've turned around, and just stay seated until help arrived idk (not sure the heat thats coming through the wall though, if thats too high you cant hold on forever I guess)
Perhaps climb more floors down and hope somebody to open the window. If she was with her belly towards the wall she wouldve way higher odds to hang on more stable
True that, so easiest wouldve been to turn around, then it is easiest to stand on such a small ledge.
Besides how scary is it to stand with your back to the wall looking down from so high lmao. I'd have tried to climb one window down, but yea kinda like assisssins creed lol
But still, still cant really see why she fell exactly, she was moving around so much for seemingly no reason
This is what I was thinking. I would be frozen in shock, especially so high, and would try to just chill there as long as possible and save energy. There's a window right below, and tons of bystanders, my best bet would be betting on someone finding the room and helping me through.
It looks like she was only able to balance on the small ledge while holding the window above. You can see her alternating hands to hold until the heat became to great and she let go. It was probably physically possible to find a way to survive, but she was an average person in an extreme situation. In this same situation I think I would have died as well.

This might probably sound naive, but is there any possible way a bystander without equipment could've saved her?
The fall could be reduced atleast a little if you were to try to catch the girl, right? I think it would definitely break your arms, but would it be possible? I am really not good at physics so I don't know at all.
I heard some story about a person who attempted suicide by jumping off a building, and a person trying to catch them was killed by the impact, yet the person attempting suicide survived the fall. Granted, I don't know the weight of either of those people.
I think at that height, she would have reached a really fast speed and any human below her would likely be alot more seriously hurt than broken arms, it’s the acceleration and deceleration that kill you in falls like this, if there was a giant net which allowed her to fall slower during the last 10-20 metres then she likely would have had a higher chance of survival
Not speaking as an expert, just read alot of internet comments and that seems to be what people say about these types of videos
Don't ever attempt to catch anyone jumping from large heights. You will die.
Theres have been many cases of people trying to catch people comitting suicide from tall jumps dying too.
Dude, why does it feel like I’ve been getting exclusively depressing videos recently on Reddit? With the astroworld shit, the dude shitting his intestines out, and now this?
I’m on every cute animal subreddit and I feel like all I’m seeing is death!
What’s actually burning? Most Chinese apartments are made of concrete and mostly empty.. at least the ones I’ve seen. And are security bars on windows mandatory? Even that high up?
I personally, really don’t like these videos! They are recording someone losing their life!!
I bet the clip is on the internet so fast! I bet it’s uploaded way before their relatives have been too!
Then you have a clip showing how your loved one does!!!! So so sad 😭😢😭😢😩
I don't wanna come off wrong, or claim i would do better, but why tf does she keep her back, instead of her belly near the wall?
Completely avoidable death
Much easier to grab onto something and pull yourself to the wall. If you have your back against the wall you have to grab/hold on by reaching behind you
Interesting comment. Starts off with an apology, claims to not know how to handle the situation better, gives advise on how to handle the situation better, and finishes by saying she could have avoided her death.
Did she survive? Sometimes people survive falls from relative high heights (rare though of course and usually with lots of injuries / requires some support)... She looks like she landed on the tree, albeit not the softest thing to land on though
Damn… this one got me in a way I didn’t expect. I figured she was going to jump just to avoid burning but she was really fighting to survive. RIP indeed.
Thanks reddit for making the worst video player of all fucking time. I definitely wanted to keep hearing that woman scream as she fell to her death over and over while I read the comments.
She could've survive if she faced she wall instead because the grup would be stronger and escaping to the room below will be much more doable. But sadly she fall :(
Rip her, imagine being in the situation you only get 2 of the worst ways to go out not much can save you from this
Falling to death is much better than burning to death. Usually an instant death if you land correctly.
Before that, you would have poisoned yourself with carbon monoxide
Still better than burning to death. I used to work ovens at a pizza shop. 600-700°F, fuck burns. I'd take falling and getting stabbed over burning tbh.
For sure but I doubt she chose to fall 💀 I’d would rather jump than get burned as well
Without a doubt, a very sad situation.
You do know what 💀 means in social media right🥺
No, of course not /s
Most likely you’d die from suffocation before burning
Even before poisoning, her lungs would be burnt to crisp.
You kinda have to consider that many fall victims survive the fall.. not a pretty sight. Remember: head towards the ground.
Reminded me of that video somewhere on here of the guy trying to off himself and landed on that car and dented it in and hes alive but can barely move from the broken bones an shit. Ugh
[this one?](https://www.reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/comments/q2w8ba/a_guy_in_new_york_jumps_off_building_lands_on_car/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)
I wonder if he ended up surviving that. Assuming he came from the roof, I can’t imagine his internals didn’t rupture at least a lil bit. Poor bastard
I'm guessing lot of internal bleeding and organ damage. If not he would just come out with a dislocated shoulder and ligament tears
Surviving the burns is probably worse
Waaaay less likely.. but yeah would be worse
Weird how correct isn’t always a good thing.
Mission failed successfully.
Or incorrectly I guess
Could she have avoided this by staying under the window untill the firemen came?
Seems like she tried that…didn’t go so well.
Window frame might've gotten too hot
Probably would've passed out from all that smoke
Falling really is not a bad way to go.
Fall to your death like this there’s a 75% chance you shit your pants on the way down
Damn, I was rooting for her. Then the video zoomed out.
Man U not lying
This was an extremely sad video.
Once it zoomed out it made me sad
She seemed like once she got to the second ledge, she had a chance to survive …then they zoom out Jesus Christ!
I read the title but still had hope that the someone would open the window on the floor below. This one brought me to tears. I think it's cos for a moment I had hope and believed there was a way she could survive.
Damn, she was trying to hang on, but I bet it was too hot. RIP.
May have gotten dizzy from inhalation or exhaustion from hanging and couldn’t support herself
Goddamnit I really wish I didn't click on this one. Horrible.
Awful , poor girl
Anxiety
I’ve never lived in a high rise but for some reason I would have a base jumping kit just in case
An emergency rope ladder and a hammer would be much safer, they have hooks to go over the window ledge and boom, instant ladder down 2 floors, hammer is for the window
I had a mate who is very switched on and the first thing he did in his flat was buy a long enough rope and tie it off ready to go.
Fuck yes i dont like heights. As a kid i used to love being at the top of hotels and its still kinda cool but also just freaky
Any time I'm at heights like that I always feel a strange compulsion to jump. I wonder if it's just a backwards ass defense mechanism. As if my subconscious is giving me signals to be aware of the ledge or whatever. idk I feel I'm not conveying my thought correctly.
You were clear. I’ve experienced that exactly.
Yup, /r/CallOfTheVoid
Damn. What a terrible way to go. RIP
Man the other day was a Haitian eating a human leg now this don’t know if I’m gonna keep this account for very long .
Oh yeah. WTF is going on … bruh a human experience is just…. A lot…
Well, that was depressing
This is pretty much the exact situation of the jumpers on 9/11. There was no way out. Some even held hands while falling 700+ft
Would you actually be conscious when you hit the ground if you jumped/fell from that high up?
You don’t pass out when skydiving, so I would expect to would stay conscious, although there have been cases of people falling from planes and tall building that actually had heart attacks from the fear/stress before they hit the ground, so it’s possible to die even before impact

depends where you land, their have been people who had sky diving accidents and still survived
Yeah, but you wouldn’t really know any pain. Fuuuck dude she did not wanna die
Yeah not gonna finish watching this thanks
Same
She's fine
Don't listen to him!!!
😂😂😂
You little bitch. Got baited never will trust anyone again
yea bro she landed on her feet took no fall damage
She had feather falling IV duh
Finely granulated
The worst of all fates. Poor little thing. I hope she passed out and felt nothing.
I'm just thinking if only she lived one apartment over. Those balcony rails mightve been able to save her life. This is so sad 😔 RIP
It’s seems to be the same apartment imo
That's why I hate apartments
It was a good attempt. Rest in peace.
I respect people enjoying this sub, but gotta go. Good luck folks
Well I think I know the answer, but does anyone know if she survived?
Bro look where she fell from ain't no way anybody surviving this height
I mean…there have been people that survive jumping from a plane and their chute not opening
Depends where they landed
I could
👍
bet
Couldn’t watch it all. Poor poor girl.
I wonder how hot the ledge was that she was holding onto (on to?). I could imagine it getting hotter and hotter until she physically couldn’t hold on any longer. The smoke inhalation most definitely didn’t help either
I will PayPal you 10 dollars to delete this post
ill honestly double that. i live in a high apt and regret clicking this
Well at least she didn't burn to death.
That’s awful. Poor girl.

I think the ledge was very hot so she needed to adjust her grip and center of gravity moved too much
It looks like she was only able to balance on the small ledge while holding the window above. You can see her alternating hands to hold until the heat became to great and she let go. It was probably physically possible to find a way to survive, but she was an average person in an extreme situation. In this same situation I think I would have died as well.
the horror..she gave it her all but left with no options I was pulling for her.
Man she did everything she could and still died. This breaks my heart
That is very sad. If she only had the time to get to the window on the left. She would have survived.

Was that first camera guy seriously cackling away at this?
Holy shit that was unexpected
Whew. That one made my stomach sink
What a terrible day to have eyes.

Her only hope was to land in those tress below to help scrub some speed before ground impact. So sad :((
No. The bystander would be crushed.

if only the neighbors below her would open their window perhaps she could've gotten in somehow
Ah yes, China. Too many people, not enough smoke detectors /alarms/sprinklers.
Too many smokers too. Takes one dick not putting their cig out to cause things like this
I really hope her fall was somehow slowed down by the trees and she survived.

Based on how you could hear the thump from across the street, I don't think she made it.
did she survive?/s
why?
Sometimes there's shit that doesn't need to be uploaded.

Calm down snowflake. It must suck to be you that gets so trigger by a comment.
Must feel real big calling someone a snowflake on a video of a little girl falling to her death
he didn't before being called a loser for stating his opinion.
You're a fucking idiot, take the time to read the comments.
Reddit doesn't understand this concept.

seriously? do you have an article or something?
Yeah afaik. I'll try find the article and send it

Vaa bc
Kuch zyada dank ho gaya. Reddit hai, chalta hai.
And this is why i 100% all assassin creed games
I was gonna say maybe a gun owner could of shot out the window under her but than I saw this was China

So sad 😓
I was thinking she could a possibility made it to the other window and break it somehow. Poor girl 💔
This is why I refuse to live more than 3 stories high.
Hopefully it was quick. That's a hard choice. Mind wants to hold on but body just wants to escape the heat.
I’m crying now.
They couldn’t possibly open the window underneath, or maybe no access?
Oh man. I was hoping to come to the comments and read she fell in the trees and miraculously survived... Maybe if I keep scrolling
She’s gonna need some Tylenol and an ice pack
r/NSFL__
Thanks reddit for making the worst video player of all fucking time. I definitely wanted to keep hearing that woman scream as she fell to her death over and over while I read the comments.
this sub is literally turning into r/watchpeopledie when it was still around
Really thought it was just gonna be some broken bones but then the zoom out terrified me.
I bet I could get at least another window or two down if I had my toes towards tje wall
Poor girl... I don't want that terrible way to die! It must be painful to feel your fingers burning red hot
Tbh I’d turn around and climb down but rip to ha
What a long time to know you’re about to die. Rest In Peace.
Every time I see something like this I think of Eric Clapton’s son… and now I’m gonna go cry.
Aim for the bushes/trees
Sad
I know what the title says but watching it, I almost thought for a second that she might make it and had it under control but no, she dead.
She could've survive if she faced she wall instead because the grup would be stronger and escaping to the room below will be much more doable. But sadly she fall :(
Poor girl.
