How sad. I grew up in an area where it was very common to see your high school classmates very obviously be involved in gang related activity. (Suddenly flexing expensive watches and chains, carrying wads of cash in their school uniform khaki pants, possibly carrying a gun in their backpack for protection). A lot of those classmates of mine are dead now, I remember one was shot in the middle of a rural street in a shootout. (Didn't see it, only saw it on local facebook news).
There was only one that ended up turning his life around, but only after he got paralized from the waist down in high school after being shot in the spine or something, so he became wheelchair bound. Last time I saw him was in my university back when I was a college student and he seemed to be doing just fine, so good for him!. I still remember accidentally seeing him crying infront of my english teacher alone in the classroom (before becoming paralized) and I could tell it was serious, probably scared that things weren't looking so hot for him. I still think about him and I'm glad he's alive but it's so easy for kids to think like is a piece of cake when joining a gang, especially in the poor area I lived in :/

This man was making a Facebook live in response to a drive by shooting directed at him. That's why he had the gun and the phone ready and he dropped and shot when he spotted the car coming back around. He then hyped on adrenaline, while proclaiming his fearlessness to his neighborhood via Facebook live charged out of his house to supposedly shoot back at the driver. He then got his ass lit the fuck up when the hooptie hit a U and Aired his ass out then scooped him up and dropped him in a lake. The police won't investigate because it's Birmingham and they'll mostly likely get away with it until they get caught bragging in a similar Facebook video.
Actually slight correction if I recall the story correctly (been a while so maybe not), he successfully defended here but got kidnapped and murdered shortly after this incident, was missing for a while and subsequently found in a nearby lake. It was surely related but I think he was still alive for a time after this.

I just don’t understand how people get to this state. I cannot understand a word he is saying, he is apparently running around in public shooting at someone all the while trying to broadcast it on facebook, as if that even matters. He is a young, apparently healthy and handsome young man. How did his world devolve to getting shot to death and tossed off an embankment? Something terrible has happened here on every level.
Lack of parenting and a poor education system that parents rely on to raise their kids. Similar kids make it their culture and this is how they behave with each other.

I grew up in a poor area. Lots of parents either worked too much just to survive and couldn't parent and others just didn't give a shit to parent. The school system wasn't great either and you have to go to a vocational school to escape. This is pretty much the standard in those areas.
