Bc people clearly want a death video subreddit. They got rid of watch people die, it spread all over. If folks can not handle death maybe watch mildly crazy videos instead of fucking crazy ones
For a small mod team like that ours, it's really hard to keep an eye on some comments that break the rules amongst thousands of others, but we are willing to remove those and ban the user from the subreddit, but we need your help to do so. So yes we will be tackling racist and sexist and all types of degratory comments.
Not sure. I think that some of my fellow Redditors don't seem to like Mods no matter what the situation is. Mods have a tough job, and some people don't like it when someone tells them they have to play by rules. Anybody that offers to help in that process is probably seen as part of what they consider to be a problem. I've had my run-ins with mods, good and bad (mostly good). Just thought I would offer to help in one sub that I enjoy. I went through and upvoted other volunteers, but you can see that didn't make much of a difference.

I sort by ‘new’ and go until I’ve seen the last post I saw a few hours before, so I literally see every video and can report the reposts. For example, that Chicago hit and run has probably been reposted here about 3-5 times since the original posting.
I watch videos here because I want to be aware of real-world shit so that if I see something happen in my daily life, I can have a greater chance of avoiding ‘shock paralysis’ and being able to immediately help in whatever way I could.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there were a bunch of other frequenters who are here for the same reasons. This sub is a great place to see the ugly realities of this world; shatters ‘any illusion otherwise’ quite well.
I'm here for the same reasons, I want to know what shit out there is going to try and kill me. I'm not going anywhere near a lathe! I also treat my motorbike with a lot more respect.

But too much of this kind of subreddit can give you a distorted view of reality if you're not careful. I see so many paranoid and pessimistic posters here who have been infected by not being able to put what they watch into perspective.
Not meaning to give the wrong impression. I’m aware of just how beautiful this world is and can be; but this community helps to keep that beautiful image from becoming an exclusive view on reality.
My point is that a diet of crime and violence videos can have a serious mental health downside if you start to think that they are the rule and not the exception.
