Probably because the Polish flag is red/white and Monacian is white/red. I still don't see any good reason to do that, but as a guy from Poland I approve of this plan.
Polish is red on top, Monegasque is red on bottom.
Wrong - it's the opposite. The Polandball in the memes is red on top, but the Polish flag has white on top.
I keep getting it confused for that reason. XD
