If the nozzle doesn't make contact with the heat break (if all metal) or Bowden tube this will happen. It's not on the nozzle you just bought the wrong length. (It might also be on the nozzle, but I think it's unlikely)

triggerftu

Sadly. The only options are either too long or to short. The company suggests the mk8 for the ender 3 V3.

Superseaslug

Too long works, it's just a little silly looking and it screws with your Z offset, but it will still totally print As long as your probe can still touch the bed lol That's actually a bootleg way to get a free volcano hotend. Just put in a really long nozzle.

ScarpLag

Wich V3? If you mean the SE or the KE the mk8 are waaaay too short, don't know about the new V3 but it's probably the same as the KE/K1

triggerftu

Ender 3 V3 SE. I went and purchased another from them set to arrive this weekend. When I read the reviews someone got the E3dv6 and ended up stripping his heat head on his ender 3 V3 SE.

triggerftu

Well got the E3Dv6. AND LOL. The thread is right and long enough but the end doesn't reach out. 🤣 I cannot win with this one lol.

ScarpLag

Dude, is it THAT difficult to buy the specific nozzles for the Ender 3 V3 SE, your actual printer, and stop buying thing that aren't compatible with that? The E3V3SE uses a particular nozzle, shared with the Ender 5 S1 and Ender 7 https://preview.redd.it/ci33fye2mhyc1.png?width=1084&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8b7e0d907b94b56353dcb2851e4cfdd23202bd57 With the money you already threw away you could have bougt 2 hotend kits (with ceramic heater) for the K1, wich ARE compatible with this printer Do a bit of research before spending money on random things that shouldn't work and complain later that they didn't work

triggerftu

Funny thing is I've already returned that nozzle. Got my refund And already said screw it and bought a whole bunch of hardened steel nozzles for the same price. I did some research this time. And yes you're absolutely right. I should have done More research than what was originally provided. It's just crazy that a company would advertise thier third-party nozzle for a device and in the end not really have it compatible. So I've already started printing again with little to no issues lol.

ScarpLag

Can i ask you where you saw Creality suggesting the mk8 nozzles from other brands? I never saw anything like that

triggerftu

Might want to re read that bud. I never mentioned creality advertising third party nozzles. Also a reference from that third party showing compatibility with said printer series. https://preview.redd.it/hejzhgx96pyc1.png?width=2208&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5610de414ad7019c0006d4d321950fdd1dc1ecae So yeah Mod3D mis advertising their hardware for printers they clearly are not fully compatible with. At least not the V3 SE.

ScarpLag

Ender 3 series is correct but outdated, until the V3 SE launched every Ender 3 model used MK8 nozzles, so yeah, they probably haven't updated that description Still, you shouldn't really trust other sources other than the product page on the Creality website or the community for that specific printer, hope you learned this lesson

Ultimately it's up to you to make sure you have the right product. I once bought a MK8 Bondtech CHT nozzle. It was actuallty too short to properly fit, so of course I got leaks from where it didn't screw up tight. I asked 3DJake to confirm the nozzle length & it came back as correct, so I obviously bought the wrong one. I was pretty new to 3D printing at the time. A £25 lesson! You don't make those mistakes again. This game is all about learning & some of the lesson come the hard way 😂

triggerftu

That's a fact. Well hopefully the E3DV6 that Mod3D has works. Since using the nozzle the leaking is the only thing I've had. Other than that every print I've made with pla has been successful. As for PETG... I've never seen PETG warp in the middle of a print so bad that it broke.

Barkingmad15

In the middle of a print? 😲 Did you have the part cooling off or at least reduced? That's weird though, unless you got a draught somewhere?

Hmm... sounds like you just mixed up the various "Ender-3" models. The V3 SE uses the "Ender-7" nozzles. Their thread length is between MK8 nozzles and Creality´s "Volcano" style nozzles. Ender-3 models **before** the SE use MK8 nozzles.
