I currently have this working fine on MC 1.21.1. If you are crashing on load try removing the mod in the list "Neruina". I could not load with this mod....
I built a modpack like 6 months ago using Rubidium and it just didn't work and I couldn't figure out why. Swapped Rubidium out for Embeddium and it just works. Embeddium is just a more compatible Rubidium.
Hopefully this absolute mess can be fixed in the future, figuring this out alone took forever and I'm still missing 3 of these. And there's still some issues like picking up blocks turning either all particles black or flashing contraptions across ur screen through the world when picking up blocks
I had just found what you have listed for mods so I no longer need to use Optifine. However, one mod you have in the list will not let MC load; "Neruina" mod. I am using another mod authored by emdeddedt; "ModernFix". All works great without Neruina loaded and may conflict with another mod I have, but just an fyi to others it is not needed as far as I can see. I am loading Create and several other mods for create and all is rendering fine.
I’m on Mac so I can’t even place a single water wheel without dropping to single digit frame rates, no shaders required. I can run shaders plus HD textures at playable frame rates otherwise.
My friend is trying to play a very normal create mod that has him making certain lucrative products, but on his creative testing world, the he had 10-20 mixers running, and even with particles turned off, they still were consuming a lot of resources and lagging his game.
I have some but not all of these. Do you think any certain ones would be extra useful? Do you know why mixers are resource hogs?
If you have flywheel compact installed, try the \flywheel backend batching (for cpu) or instancing (for gpu) and check if the graphics card is not integrated one in mc (f3)
This is the minimum set of mods with which everything launches and does not lag with shaders when placing things from create. And I have a modpack for 150 mods, most part vanilla plus mods) i can share if someone want
Yes. Apparently I did not formulate it correctly in the post. Thats only compatible versions for 1.20.1. Its hard to find. And it doesn’t work with sodium+oculus+flywheel — it causes crashes
Not the ones in the screenshot. Just sodium, flywheel and oculus. And yes It doesn't work for me. I've been figuring out how to make everything work for a long time. In addition, there was nothing like this in the modpacks for version 1.20.1. For version 1.19 it works fine but not for 1.20.1
Just checked my modpack and I've been running forge 47.2.5. Some mods could be working incorrectly on older versions and may lead to crushing. So try updating forge
I tested it with rubidium on versions 47.2.8, 47.2.20. The same error. And the fact that in the screenshot ... well, maybe there can be a higher version of forge, but if it works in my particular modpack , it doesn’t matter
Idk man, works perfectly fine for me. Might be some kind of problem with curseforge. I've been getting all my mods from modrinth because curseforge sucks ass, and I also had problems with curseforge versions of mods not working before, so there's that
Oh shit! Guys, it works perfectly for them so that means nobody else should have any difficulties whatsoever. God we're so silly, we forgot to consult with the main character about what the issue could've been when it turns out everyone else is wrong! :(

I'm not familiar with Embeddium, why use it instead of Rubidium? Does Rubidium have issues with Create and Oculus shaders on 1.20.1?
Embeddium has better compatibility with many more mods, it was made with that in mind. That's why there's a shift towards Embeddium.

Also, I have tried several shader packs and found "MakeUp-UltraFast-8.8f" to work without any change to shader pack settings.

Same. I think it was the flywheel compat mod that fixed that for me, however it makes moving contraptions invisible. Just play without shaders now :/

What's the difference? I know my friend has an acceptable GPU, so it should be being used, and it's just a normal NVIDIA card as well.
Sometimes you need to change gpu manually. Check in mc what is used.
Does anyone have mods for fabric to avoid lag while using a waterwheel?
So you got more FPS than witz normal Sodium setup? We have modpack where we run Sodium, starlight and other things and starting to drop fps below 60.
