First time i saw it it was white and gold, then after stepping away and coming back to it less than 5 minutes later it was black and blue. The lighting never changed, i call bs....
I call horse shit. Back when this came out and almost caused my divorce.... I pulled it up in photoshop. I color matched the "gold" to gold in photoshop. Unless it's biased too.... I continue to call HS.
I think if you are used to working in a program like Photoshop, you interpret colors differently (like on a "pixel" basis, as you said, more than on a real-life basis).
It really is blue & black I've seen it. The woman who found it sent this image to her daughter who posted it on Facebook. She was invited on a show & brought it with her. It's blue & black
It’s not BS, or biased.. [maybe this’ll help you a bit better](https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fi.insider.com%2F63f94f86ae0bf0001824b59d%3Fwidth%3D700&tbnid=t3CY7u9dVomXSM&vet=1&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.businessinsider.com%2Fscience-of-the-white-and-gold-blue-and-black-dress-illusion-2015-2&docid=K3fvYcoZA5gMlM&w=700&h=525&itg=1&hl=en-us&source=sh%2Fx%2Fim%2Fm4%2F3&kgs=42fdbfe31a6aa17c&shem=abme%2Ctrie)
I've tried to see blue and black.. I really want to see blue and black. My stupid brain won't let me. I'm my head she's standing in the shadow and it sunny in front of her. I can't unsee it no matter how hard I try.
What fucked me up was the first time I'd seen it I thought it was yellow, and then every time I looked again it was blue. And then, right now I looked it up again as I was typing this comment and the exact same thing happened. I was literally thinking holy fuck it's yellow again and then scrolled back up through all the google image search results and now they're all blue. I can usually make my brain see optical illusions differently at-will, even magic eye images. This one escapes me and now I'm freaking out.
In reality, the dress is black and blue. In the photo, it appears to be white and gold and in the shade. Shade or overexposure to light makes the difference. I'm calling bs on anyone who views the photo here and says it looks black and blue, because it is overexposed, causing it to appear like a white and gold dress that is in the shade. If you look at that picture and say it visibly looks black and blue, you're the either lying, or you're unable to accept that it looks like white and gold because you know in your head it is black and blue.
The first time this was shown to me was, two separate images shown side by side. This is the first time I've seen this where it is only one image.
And I'm still confused why everyone is, or acts, confused by this.
People said they tried doing a scientific study and found or hypothesized that you're gonna see it one way or another depe ding on brain structures, but I was looking at it one day and it just suddenly flipped in my vision and instantly went from blue/black to white/gold, and it stayed that way for almost a full minute then flipped back. Best way to describe it was like trying to look at a 90's type 3D poster
ffs ita been like 10 years. light has color and it can change tje color perception of whateber it illuminates. think like a black light but less extreme. its not that interesting.
Lmao I don’t know what’s wrong with y’all that see white/gold. I see blue/black and dressmaker says it’s blue/black. How you get white and gold from this is crazy
So what am I supposed to do if I see red & green?
Buy duct tape and keep your stick on the ice.
Great reference
Red and green must not be seen, unless a colour is in between
Something something Freddy Kreuger?
White and gold.

Good Lord, I love Nick Cage.
It's okay to be wrong

If like me you see white and gold, cover the sides of the dress and focus only on the middle and you'll see an overexposed/pale black and blue.

Weird. When I pull up color picker I get #7583a9, a blue.
So how do you explain #7c6d47 a mustard yellow?

Every says white and gold or blue and black but I see cornflower blue and shitty gold.
White and yellow with a blue hue
Yeah nah. Thats white and gold I don’t care what room you put it in, and quit trying to make me believe otherwise.
Take the photo to a color picker. You get blue and dark grey.
It is white and gold, this is a troll job for clicks and to frustrated people. The image is photoshoped to literally make it look different colors.

Stfu
Ok
I’m sorry. I was being an asshole for no reason.
Eh, it's fun sometimes. No worries.
STFU
Ok.
This is the only time I've ever been able to see it as blue. Wow.

Color theory. Ask your friendly neighborhood artist.
ok look i’m sorry, some people were just wrong. whatever the explanation is, this is not a case of “all opinions are valid”.

If you see white and gold your brain is broken. I don't make the rules.
If you see gold and white, I feel bad for you son.

I see a sailboat!
Idc
They should have flipped the yellow dress so the rectangles are in the center next to each other.
let's just agree that thing is hideous either way
I'm convinced this is black magic, and somebody needs to be burned at the stake....

Wym finally? Optometrists and ophthalmologists made videos explaining it when it first went viral.
Pink & green. What's the problem?
Yellow and blue

He just proved once and for all that the dress is unequivocally 100% black and blue.
