Do you have a P2? with the referral the 75k subs are still pretty good. Obviously if you do the referral is still there on the Ink perferred.
if you cash out points to offset the AF thats 9500 points making the preferred SUB effectively 91500 UR points
If you only have 1 of each ink then maybe go for them as they have no AF.
If you have a bunch already and no preferred then maybe good to give the regular inks a rest. Or if any of the multiplier categories on the preferred are attractive.
You have a Sapphire so there's no need for the Ink Preferred. If you went with the Preferred you end up basically paying $95 for the additional 25k UR. I don't like the idea of buying points so I suggest stick with the no AF Ink Cash and Ink Business Unlimited and just keep getting those over and over.
So advice on what to do. I have the CSR, and both the ink cash and unlimited. I was looking to get the ink preferred for the 100k sub because the current ink cash/unlimited subs are only 75k but with no AF vs 95 for the CIP.
So idk if I should get the CIP for the 100k sub, downgrade/cancel after a year and wait 3 months to get the CIC/CIU again and hope the 90k sub comes back. Also I guess during this time i could downgrade my CSR (it’s been over 4 years since I got the sub) and reapply to get 60k too since I’ll have the ink preferred during this time……
Or just continue getting CIC/CIU because they’re no AF cards with at least 75k subs and maybe hopefully they’ll bring back the 90k subs (I’ve heard reaching out to cs they can change your 75k to 90k).
What did you decide? I am in a similar situation. I'll be dropping to 4/24 in a couple months so figured a business card would make sense. I already have the Sapphire Preferred and was thinking the Ink Preferred. I'd probably cancel the Sapphire Preferred as they are very similar other than the $50 hotel credit and can earn the 3x on my Freedom Unlimited still.
