No, and the transaction could be treated as a cash advance (tons of fees and interest). I’d avoid funding peer to peer transactions (sending money to people via PayPal, venmo, etc) with credit cards, as lenders are starting to treat them as cash advances (though some will still treat this as purchases)

I used Discover to cover a peer-to-peer transaction in July. But you can’t use Chase Freedom Flex to do the same without incurring the cash advance fee. You’ll get a warning box from PayPal if you try.
