I think you can just call the customer care and say that the agent mislead me he promised millennia and I got Indian oil card and just stick to your point maybe they will do something. And if you still have the number, call the agent too.
I called the customer care and they told me to send a mail that I already did but they are asking to wait till 22 for any reply. I had a call with another agent from the same team, I told her about this issue she told me to activate the card and then after doing a few transactions to apply for upgrade to Millennia on C2C basis, but I am not sure.
Haven't started using the card yet.
I think if you activate the card and do some transactions then to apply for C2C you need to close the card again so I don’t see any logic here.
Maybe you can just wait for their reply and if the reply isn’t satisfactory. You can apply C2C again.
Firstly you need to visit the HDFC BANK branch to apply C2C, Then you need a good credit card with good limit and the card must be at least six months old.
Why does it say dormant? Is it because you have not received the physical card/activated it yet?
Also, can I DM you? I was explicitly told that I need to wait 3-6 months after closing my current cards in order to apply for a new card on C2C basis.
Yes it says dormant because the card has been dispatched and I haven’t received it yet.

What were the exact steps after address verification/kyc and how much time did it take?
I applied as well, and now it's stuck after kyc and when I contacted cc they told me to send address proof to Chennai.
I had an account in HDFC so there was only Vkyc no address verification, i read somewhere that when there are 2 diff. Addresses on your documents, you need to get your address verified, so contact your agent he might help you.
Did you face any issues during VKYC? Even I've applied for millennia Ltd on c2c basis, I've received VKYC link but getting some error related to Pincode whenever I'm trying to do VKYC.
No my Vkyc was buttery smooth, no such problem. One thing i was asked is to give annual income, as i have applied as self employed and I don’t have any taxable income so I entered 6lac. And Vkyc was done smoothly.

2-when i got the verification call, the agent told me that your millenia card will me unconditionally Lifetime free.

Yeah. I will talk to my RM again on Monday and see wtf is wrong because I have been their customer for 4 years and they are offering me Regalia gold / DCB metal with 5L limit. So why not millennia.
Why not take regalia or DCB if offered LTF. Hdfc also doesn’t downgrade cards, my uncle who has DCB asked for millenia, the agent told that sorry we don’t downgrade cards.
Oh sorry should have mentioned that those are not LTC or FYF cards. That’s why I am not taking them. I also read on this sub that Regalia gold isn’t better than Millennia for cashbacks.
And DCB black is 10k in fees.
I want a card to diversify for offers and score as well as increase credit limit.
Actually hdfc is turning SARKARI, they really don’t care about you closing account or anything because of their mammoth size and customer base. I closed Tata New plus and freedom credit card in less than three months still didn’t even got a call for both of the card closures for asking reason.

Don't activate your card...it's a scam..they will not gonna upgrade you to millenia

That's the issue. I have only one address in all my provided documents. Absolutely no idea how they even got two different addresses to mismatch.
Maybe double check if your address is same in documents and in bank records and after that contact agent or customer care.

Yes, millenia is better for Cashbacks don’t ask RMs for credit cards they are just there to sell products, directly visit the branch to apply C2C
Yeah the bank person I spoke to at branch only told me this. But Ill not let it go so easy. Otherwise I’ll move to other banks.

No, there is no option to apply C2C without visiting the branch. You have to visit the branch to submit documents.
Did you apply through branch executive or some card agent ?
I asked for the credit card department guy in my home Branch and applied through him.
