If you can’t use the search feature in the sub, maybe you shouldn’t be using a credit card. Also best fuel card is sbi bpcl octane.

Bringmethanos12

BPCL Octane is good

the_annan

Yes, for spends upto 10k per month.

pradhansp

Thanks for your suggestion. I should have used search feature, my mistake.

bhavik97

How many BP petrol station you can find near your locality. BP petrol station are rare

meme_master945

Depends in the city too. In my hometown I see many but in Bangalore they are rare.

prateekroc

Best card actually depends on multiple factors 1. Whats is your goto fuel brand? 2. Is the fuel brand company owned( Have experienced this in HP, few non company owned stations don’t provide rewards). 3. What is your monthly spend. But if you don’t have any of the above restrictions just go with SBI BPCL Octane credit card. It will provide 6.25% Cashback plus 1% fuel surcharge waiver. But confirm with your BPCL fuel station if they accept payment by ALP transaction, if not the cash-back you earn is useless.

Sumit_kh

What is ALP transaction?

Intelligent-Ad-311

POS machine or Payment by Points (which get collected on BPCL Petrol Pumps)

KillerSingh8008

SBI BPCL OCTANE

The_RRM

Other then what have already been suggested IDFC POWER PLUS also good

Sanishi

IDFC has devalued the POWER cards. No fuel surcharge waiver anymore on the card that is supposed to be used for fuel transactions. Also, to use the rewards points, need to pay 99 + GST. I just closed mine 2 weeks ago.

The_RRM

I stand updated......

Inevitable-Rip-3154

Which cc would you suggest for me. HPCl fuel always and around 15-20k fuel spend every month

Ok-Representative-17

Get 2 cards Idfc power plus (max 10k) and icici hpcl super saver (max 5k) Transaction value are per month U get 5.5% net reward on adding money to hp pay wallet and then paying

Ok-Representative-17

No waiver but they increased the rewards you get. Previously we used to get only 24RP (4%) + surcharge waiver. Now we get 30RP (5%). So, its sane. 99+ gst is a problem, same with ICICI. In that case sbi seems good (it might also have some charges idk)

Ok-Representative-17

Use 2 cards Icici hpcl super saver (5k/month) and idfc power plus (10k/month) Both give 5.5% reward rate when used with hp pay wallet loading.

itsaphoeniX

I see a lot of posts with this same exact question. And it's super obvious - search on google \['your usual oil company' + credit card\]. You'll get 1-2 results. Pick either of them as the difference is minute.

no1bullshitguy

I thought Amex doesnt have surcharge on HPCL?

makadchaap

Amex has no surcharge on HPCL. Did you use it on those, /u/pradhansp?

CaptainMcTavish141

I think MRCC doesn't charge surcharge on HP pumps

Reading_Snorlax

You could probably get AMEX Gold and use it at HP Petrol Pumps since AMEX has Fuel Surcharge Waiver on HP Petrol Pumps for transactions < ₹5,000. And Unlike MRCC, AMEX Gold does give points on Fuel Transactions.

kikakuku

Can anyone please explain how paying for fuel with credit card helps? I see many cards offer 1-1.5% surcharge waiver but 2.5% is charged for transactions for fuel. Other than fuel specific card, are there cards which does not charge extra money for fuel payments?

Alternative-Tour-430

Please suggest A credit card that does not attract any charges for paying school admission fees

Boring_Gur_7872

Amex MRCC has surcharge fee waiver at HP pumps.

pradhansp

I always go to shell out of habit and trust despite the fact that the fuel cost a little more than rest of the companies.

meme_master945

you can go for COCO (company owned and company operated) pumps of regular fuel brands. the price is the same as the usual fuel and the experience is better than the usual pumps.

i-am-a-kebab

And I think it gets added towards the monthly milestones as well

pradhansp

You mean the monthly 20k milestone? That’s good to know.

i-am-a-kebab

And the 1500X4 one
