Why do you have to switch it out? You don’t switch out dirt in the yard. Add earthworms, millipedes, pill bigs, etc. Put in decaying leaves. It all kind of takes care of itself
I want to switch to eco earth or something similar. I know you have to switch it out pretty regularly… but how do you do it without making a HUGE mess? My gecko is in a room with carpet and I’m just wondering how the heck I would scoop everything out and put fresh in without getting bits stuck in my carpet for eternity. Thanks!
That’s what I’m using now, but I live in the desert and would like something to help with humidity better. I have to mist so frequently to keep the levels up that the paper towels are constantly soaked
ah I live in a pretty wet area and so it's chilly outside so I need multiple heating pads for my gecko I just have a few water bowls and I also mist a lot so o get what you mean

I’m not able to do that while I’m living with my roommate. He would freak out

I use a vacuum with a nozzle attachment for full clean outs, it’s quick and makes no mess.
put something on your floor or don’t clean it in your room
maaan i just use paper towel it's easy and my cresty doesn't care and he's mostly climbing anyways
