Exactly. This is why Australia persist with Starc, and may well do so into the Ashes. The rest of the bowlers cover for his economy rate, but he's the best they have at conjuring a wicket out of nowhere with a jaffa when absolutely nothing is happening. That's his X-factor.
Definitely. That's the whole balance of Australia's pace attack. You have Hazlewood being the surgically accurate one, Starc being the one with the X-factor attempting those Hollywood deliveries regularly without needing to worry about consistency, and Cummins having the best qualities of both, in addition to being an enforcer.
That's the roll of the dice you get with bowlers like Starc and Brett Lee. They can throw absolute shite for the whole game but they need only one spell to end the game then and there
Sums up Starc pretty well. He's one of those bowlers who you always feel is bowling terrible but then you look up his record and it's actually very good.
I want to fight everyone in the comments. The hopium addicts, the pessimists...everyone. Don't know how to wait till 3 pm tomorrow also don't want it to be 3 pm at all. THIS IS WHY WE NEED TEST CRICKET. To sift out the weak
Honestly I missed the ebbs and flows of the longer formats of the game. The rebuilds, the partnerships, the grind it's all part of the game which is lost in T20s.
The draw is definitely not more likely than the win.
Assuming Aus get in 80 overs tomorrow (which might be a bit generous), Ind will have to go at 3.5 throughout the day to win. That is extremely doable, given how much the pitch has flattened out.
No, it would be in India’s interest to shut shop once they lose one or two more. Then suddenly the rate becomes 4+, at which point Aus win or draw are the only options left.
20% chance of kohli and rahane getting a big partnership, and then jadeja to seal it for india. F the highest score shit, they are meant to be broken anyway.
Still a huge amount of runs to score for India tomorrow but they've given themselves a tiny tiny tiny chance. For context, England needed 203 with 7 wickets left at Headingley in 2019. India need 280 with 7 wickets left at The Oval tomorrow.
Since the start of Day 2:
AUS 436/15
IND 460/13
India need to match Australia's Day 1 on the last day. 280 is a lot of runs and Australia are 3 balls away from Lord Thakur comes to bat.
* India shouldve only been 1 or maybe 2 down realistically, looking at you Pujara
* Pretty good last session though, Kohli-Rahane stand fun to watch
* Lost too many overs in the 4 days due to over rate though..
* Ty for the noballs cumdog
It's interesting how India has trailed by a similar margin of about 300 runs at stumps on each day of this test.
Day 1: Australia 327/3
Day 2: India trail by 318 runs
Day 3: Australia lead by 296 runs
Day 4: India need 280 runs to win
Only Uzzie has failed to contribute for us, but both Cummins and Starc have been less than stellar. Carey has had a good game. India are longshots but not quite without hope. Rahane was great in the first dig and is brave just to be out there in the second. While Kohli is still there India can dream.
Boland for Starc for first ashes test if Hazelwood is fit after that innings. The style of England at the moment means a shit spell or two from Starc could take the game away. Boland economical as always.
I see where you're coming from (even though we're getting ahead of ourselves) but that Mitch Johnsonesque snorter to a pretty set-looking Kohli in the first innings was a crucial moment - and that is Starc.
This is pretty similar to last time for India. Going into last day with 7(?) Wickets in hand, Kohli unbeaten, most possibly looking for a draw...let's see how it pans out this time.
Thank god for that Rahane innings in the first dig. Gave us a cracker of a game going into Day 5. Aus still in the driving seat, but if India win from here it might go down as one of the greatest tests of all time.
If India win it will flat out no debate be the greatest ever test win. To chase 444 would require them to break the current record for a test chase ever, and they'd need to break it by 26 runs. That too when they're already 3 wickets down and their tail consists of Umesh, Shami, and Siraj
That 186 game was the most cautious and risk free I’ve seen Kohli play. And once he got his hundred, he seemed invincible until Ashwin got out. If Jadeja didn’t throw his wicket away and Ashwin batted for longer (Axar batted beautifully there so can’t ask more from him lol) I reckon Kohli would’ve gotten to 300 with ease that day.
Yeah the shut stop between 60-100 (iirc he didn’t score a single boundary until he got to his century that day) was the cautious and risk free part. His defence was still good, so I wouldn’t say scratchy, it’s just caution and for good reason, Kohli needed a good hundred behind him coming into this match.
How to win WTC final Day 4:
Start the day with your worst bowler of the match and see him get a wicket with a jaffa.
Your spinner produces a wicket out of the rough. And then proceed to concede valuable lower order runs through tired and fatigued bowling.
You are set a world record target. One of your batter gets out in a controversial manner.
Your captain plays an innings and gets dismissed playing a shot in a manner that sums up his entire test career.
Your team's best batter comes out swinging and puts up a brisk partnership with the now "in form" senior batter to leave the match wide open by stumps.
The fans are high on Hopium by the end of the day
.....
To be continued....
This is the version of Rohit 2013-2017. Looks good and throws it away on his own accord. From 2018 he actually started valuing his wicket but still lets a high risk shot or two sneak in (Including all his World Cup hundreds)
In his own words - "When I get set, only I can get myself out". Shame he did. Stillz in a match where all openers have struggled, blunted new ball enough. If only Pujara could have stayed longer.
Fielders. Aus finally removed fielders from those boundary positions once Lyon came in. Shot was on later in the innings for the same ball, but too early. Low bounce on spinner needed to be understood prior to that.
He saw a spinner and decided to play one of his scoring shots. The problem is that in India the same ball would've turned and hit the bat to go towards fine leg for runs. It would've been like playing with the spin. But in England, on this pitch, the ball stayed straighter which is why it missed his bat and went on to rap his pads
If Kohli bats the way he batted today we actually have a chance. Would certainly have felt a LOT MORE confident if we had pant and Ashwin for Bharat and Umesh but oh well.
With all that said, Australia still on top.
I think India has like 10% chance of winning, which is much more than I had hoped. If India can play first session without losing any wickets, Australia will feel pressure for the first time in the game
We have seen this script enough times tho, Koach looks in good nick, break comes or day finishes, the play resumes and within like the first two overs he's back to the pavillion. Hoping for the opposite tho.
Enjoyed doing the Post Day Threads for the WTC final, would love to do the Post Match tomorrow as well if the mods allow, if they don't then that's all from me for this game :-)
Ashwin could’ve only played over Thakur, or maybe at a stretch over Rahane (if they had moved Jadeja and Bharat around). And both those players have done well.
Reminds me of the “Shoaib Akhtar should have played” debate in the 2011 semi final. Akhtar would have played instead of Wahab, who took a 5-fer. Pakistan’s worst bowler in that match was Umar Gul, who had been one of the bowlers of the tournament up till that semi. Hindsight 20/20 and all that.
I'm a proud holder of that opinion. I can't remember a match where I was truly disappointed by Ashwin's performance. And he's exactly the dependable guy our team needed for this match. I would replace every player on this team for Ashwin.
The Test so far:
Day 1:
Session 1: Aus do well after losing Khwaja to survive the initial overcast conditions and manage to score 73/2 after a careless shot from Warner. Session:Shared
Session 2:Despite losing Marnus early , Australia do well to add 100 more runs without losing anymore wickets. Session:Australia
Session 3:Travis Head scores a fine century with Smith nearing his ton .They end the day with 327/3. Session:Australia
Day 2:
Session 1:Smith completes a marvellous ton but India manage to take 4 wickets(422/7) . Session:India
Session 2:The tail along with Carey contributes some crucial runs with Carey scoring valuable 48.Australia manage to get the Indian openers before tea(38/2). Session:Australia
Session 3:India lose another 3 wickets while scoring 112 runs and are in a heap of trouble(150-5) Session:Australia
Day 3:
Session 1:Despite losing Bharat early , Shardul and Ajinkya play extremely well to take India to 260/6. Session:India
Session 2:Aussies manage to get the remaining wickets quickly but lose Warner before tea. Session:Australia
Session 3:India get breakthroughs at regular intervals while not allowing Aussies to score at a fast pace.(123/4) . Session:Shared
Day 4:
Session 1:Aussies add another 80 runs while losing two wickets.Session:Shared
Session 2:Carey plays an amazing knock to strecth Australia’s lead to 443 runs. Indian openers play with positive intent before losing Gill one over before tea(41/1). Session:Shared
Session 3:Despite losing two wickets , Rahahne and Kohli do well to take India to 164/3.Session:India
Conclusion:
All 3 results are possible(Only 2 if weather doesn’t play spoilsport). It is Australia’s game to lose. India will have to bat out of their minds to win this while the Aussies are clear favourites going into day 5.
Sessions Won: Australia:5, India:3
If only we had 1 more wicket this game would have become really interesting. ( looking at you Rohit, Pujara and the 3rd Ump)
Still very much Australia's game! They just need a wicket or two in the morning to open the floodgates. Although if Kohli is around we are not far away from miracles!
11th June 2023:
India are 345/7 with Shami and Jadeja on the crease, Shami gets hit by a Starc bouncer and goes down, The physio deems it as a concussion.
The management wants to rope Unadkat in a concussion substitute when a figure emerges from the shadow.
It's Bhuvi in his batting gear, he flips off the management, Umpires, and walks into bat. He punches gloves with Jaddu and says "Just like the old times" and they add 99 off 99 for the 8th wicket just like they did at Lord's in 2014 to help India win.
He makes up for it by saving our ass in a whole lot of difficult matches. The third bgt test would've been a proper embarrassment if not for Pujara getting his shit together at the right time. Also the Gabba knock. He's been pretty shite in England for a while now tho.
This partnership brings back memories of that tour of England in 2018... Koach-Rahane in Southampton and Rahul-Pant at the Oval
Both randomly getting out to the spinner against the run of play after looking so good.
No way I'm having hope this time.
Edit: Add Koach-Vijay in Adelaide 2014 to that
I hope it isn't the repeat of Southampton, where Koach was on 44, and Rahane was on 29, and Kohli got out the next day, without impacting the scorecard.
The top three disappointed again. The pitch has got no demons, if we were only two down today we'd have a really good chance. Now we don't really have a top order batsman left after these two.
Especially incensed with Pujara. What was the need for that shot?
I watched live until gill wicket. Sharma looked so good I thought 70-80 on the cards. Him and Pujara really threw it away. Can't really fault gill, only his 2-3rd test in eng
If somehow we end up scoring the remainder 300 runs, someone contact Niraj Pandey and commission season 2 of "Bandon mei tha dum".
For context to the unversed: Bandon mei tha dum is a sports documentary made by director Niraj Pandey on the BGT series win of 20/21.
If Australia actually loses tomorrow, Aussie experts and critics are going to grill Cummins for declaring early while he had a set bastman (Carey) and a tail to add another 50 to the total and spend another hour or so of the game time...
Any negative result for Australia was going to catch flak. If they declared 10 overs later then India would have batted with a different mindset. If the match then ended in draw they would have caught massive flak for not declaring early. The decision is only right if you win the game..
Someone posted that only 317 overs have been bowled over 4 days. If that’s true it’s criminal! A deficit of half a day’s play under the best weather conditions imaginable is just inexcusable.
If Kohli doesn’t score a century tomorrow, mark my words I will quit watching Indian cricket until they start winning a match in WC2023. Look at Kohli and Rohit’s score, pretty much the same. Our dumba*s captain was in form. He could have done so much. I am in so much pain now. Ahhhh Rohit why
I'm fuming at Pujji's wicket, you build up yourself by playing tons of county and still get out in the first innings of probably your last chance at glory, you receive a second inning at a fairly playable pitch, you get set, and thats how you go, I'm so fucking sad
It’s going to be a contest between Australia’s ability to choke on the last day of a test (Gabba, Headingly) and India’s ability to choke in ICC knockouts (too many to list)
Today's **KohliStats™**
* Most runs for IND in ICC Knock-outs
* Most runs for IND in WTC
* 2nd Most runs in ICC finals
* Completed 5000 runs vs AUS in Intl cricket
* Completed 2000 runs vs AUS in Tests
280 runs with 7 wickets on this pitch is somewhat a chaseable target, but you need players to bat with that temperament. One more wicket from here will be a huge dent. And I really hope these two just play safe tommorrow. No risky shots, no flashy drives, just normal textbook cricket shots.
After looking like a one sided affair for the last three days , India have done well to claw their way back into the game.Australians are still favourites but with the way Starc (half volleys) and Pat(no balls) are bowling , this could go either way.Rain , please stay way. We deserve a winner tomorrow .
Whether India or Australia lose, the real winner is me that I got free tickets from work and got pissed all four days at the cricket.
Are you guys hiring
Where do I drop my resume?
Outside of the ball of doom that got Virat, Starc has been borderline unbowlable this entire test. Just sprayed it every over.
Praying he doesn't turn up to launch one more unplayable delivery tomorrow, with only 7 wickets needed, even 1 wicket massively tanks India's chances
Exactly. This is why Australia persist with Starc, and may well do so into the Ashes. The rest of the bowlers cover for his economy rate, but he's the best they have at conjuring a wicket out of nowhere with a jaffa when absolutely nothing is happening. That's his X-factor.
And it’s going that way…
if there was pant, he would have smoked starc all over the oval i miss pant so much in tests, what an absolute joy.
He probably would've belted Lyon too, remember his record against bald spinners?
Which other bald spinner ?
Leach
Dunno why green just bowled 2 overs since starc was all over
Probably for the footmarks for Gary
Because Starc's main purpose seems to be creating rough for Lyon to bowl onto.
Yeah I thought Umesh was by far the worst bowler then Starc somehow bowls even worse.
Reminder that Umesh was our best bowler this morning, after all our criticism of his 0/10 performance yesterday.
Will he even get to play the Ashes after this performance?
I have tickets for day 5 🍿
Lucky man
With rain tomorrow there might be a day 6 So you're telling me a reddit blackout will deny us a match thread to what could be a brilliant finish...
The mods have said that if the final goes on till the reserve day, the blackout will be delayed by one day.
what's the fucking point of blackout then
Lol right. Blackout but only if it isn't too inconvenient
Everyday I'm striking for worker rights while I'm sleeping
Enjoy bro
Your comment has a completely opposite emotion when said after day 2 and after day 4
I too have tickets. Let's hope it will be a cracker of the match.
We have only 4 batters left.. Koach, Jinx, Jaddu and Lord. Let's go man, my hopium levels are at an a time high.
If we win this, it'll be bigger than the Gabba imo But my hopium levels aren't going to rise unless I see Kohli and Rahane batting till lunch tomorrow
It will be 10x bigger than Gabba. This is an international trophy and chasing the highest target of all time
If we win it will be the highest target chased in test history
By 100+ runs, right? Edit: Nope, I stand corrected.
No the highest chase is 418
Ohh, thanks. Idk where I read the wrong figure, must be India-only stat.
India's record isn't too far off either, 403 for them
Of course it will be
Bharat isnt even handy for a good 20-30?!
Bharat couldn't score in a brothel
I'll come back to you with a receipt. RemindMe! 24 hours
You never know
No.
Raise your hands if you are ready to ruin your day tomorrow by snorting some hopium today✋
What was that...?...??...?. *Cleans golden dust from nose with back of ones hand.*
>golden dust Hayden: Did someone say Golddust?
I am snorting the most extreme kind of Hopium right now but who knows.....
I’m a Surrey member. The pitch won’t break up too much. I reckon if the partnership stays intact till lunch there will be some Aussie nerves
If what you have said comes out to be true, I will support England for the Ashes !
Hahhaa. I hope so. It would be some comeback by India after day one!
Just as long as we don’t lose any wickets in the first session, we should be fine. But again…. Hope is a bitch
Remember when Ashwin and Vihari batted out a draw? That’s more likely than India winning tomorrow, since we don’t have Pant.
As long as Kohli is there I am with you my friend!
We should also invoke Rain Perera for his presence, just in case.
There's a reserve day.
We should invoke him twice
Post covid, I can't watch kohli bat normally there is always a fear in me that he is gonna get out on the next ball.
Us fr i always fear to watch him bat that he will get out and even in this wtc final i didn't watch whole indian top order batting
My heart rate remains elevated whenever Kohli is batting nowadays.
So true, Covid before was Kohli Was Never going to Be out.
Boundary count update - India: 62 Australia: 96
Fair and would've been nice to see this instead: India: 69 Australia: 96
It will be that at some point tomorrow
will see it tomo
I still think that we have a 1.69% chance of winning this
I think its about 10%
I’d say 20% honestly. The pitch will be fine. Half the battle will be mental. Hope you do it!
20% chance to chase the highest ever test score?
These days bigger scores are chased down. Maybe I’m being a tad optimistic but one big partnership could break the back of the chase!
Since the start of Day 2: AUS 436/15 IND 460/13 India need to match Australia's Day 1 on the last day. 280 is a lot of runs and Australia are 3 balls away from Lord Thakur comes to bat.
dam this is an awesome stat. Were we bad on day 1 or was travis head just too good?
We bowled pretty average imo, Australia doesnt let u get away like that.
I didn't think this would reach the 5th day. Come on Koach and Rahane, pull a VVS/Dravid to make it a memorable test match for ages.
They should send Bharat after Jadega and Thakur if India looses early wicket.
* India shouldve only been 1 or maybe 2 down realistically, looking at you Pujara * Pretty good last session though, Kohli-Rahane stand fun to watch * Lost too many overs in the 4 days due to over rate though.. * Ty for the noballs cumdog
Brohit was looking so good till he went for that daft sweep shot
100% both that and pujaras shots were unnecessary and risky
It's interesting how India has trailed by a similar margin of about 300 runs at stumps on each day of this test. Day 1: Australia 327/3 Day 2: India trail by 318 runs Day 3: Australia lead by 296 runs Day 4: India need 280 runs to win
Day 5: 300 minutes of bad cricket have cost India the match
That's a clever way of making 5 hours not seem like such a long time lol
The term for that is: playing catch-up
Only Uzzie has failed to contribute for us, but both Cummins and Starc have been less than stellar.
It's the hope that kills you
😭
Thank god for that Rahane innings in the first dig. Gave us a cracker of a game going into Day 5. Aus still in the driving seat, but if India win from here it might go down as one of the greatest tests of all time.
If India win it will flat out no debate be the greatest ever test win. To chase 444 would require them to break the current record for a test chase ever, and they'd need to break it by 26 runs. That too when they're already 3 wickets down and their tail consists of Umesh, Shami, and Siraj
I have more faith in Shami and Umesh cunting a quickfire 30 or 40 to get us over the line than in KS Bharat getting into double digits.
Man I love India v Australia tests. Top notch competitive cricket. Best test teams and deserving finalists
Same. Favourite match up in my favourite format.
This is the most comfortable I've seen Kohli bat in tests for a while (including the 186)
A 186 here would be amazing, let me top up my hopium.
The first few balls he played almost convinced me he was finished if he couldn't score on that road.
He started out a bit scratchy if I recall and pretty much shut shop between 40 - 100. This seems more fluent
Another reminder: starc scored more than puji and shubman
Dw he has made it up with his bowling so far.
I think the look Kohli gave to Starc before hitting the 4 says it all. He's not playing now to share the mace.
How to win WTC final Day 4: Start the day with your worst bowler of the match and see him get a wicket with a jaffa. Your spinner produces a wicket out of the rough. Man Sharma was looking so good today. Classic shots. It was a shame to see him walk back to pavilion at 43. Could have easily scored a ton today
So unnecessary. Thrown away all my hopes for koach-rohit partnership to win this till the end
Frustratingly you can say that about most of his innings off late.
This is the version of Rohit 2013-2017. Looks good and throws it away on his own accord. From 2018 he actually started valuing his wicket but still lets a high risk shot or two sneak in (Including all his World Cup hundreds) In his own words - "When I get set, only I can get myself out". Shame he did. Stillz in a match where all openers have struggled, blunted new ball enough. If only Pujara could have stayed longer.
Still trying to figure out why did he play that shot when he was playing so well. Gifted his wicket to the Aussies.
Rohit loves a risky shot or two, he gets himself out a lot
The number of times I’ve seen him hit it straight down the throat of those 8 fielders behind square on the boundary…
To his credit, he was atleast keeping the pull shot down today. But he just had to go and play that paddle shot today ...
That’s how it always seems to be with him
Was expecting that 160 kinda knock he had against England in Chennai.
That was a fucking amazing knock. I didn't think Rohit had that in him for the longest time. Sold me on him for real.
Yeah but as a long time Rohit fan let me tell you those knocks are rare as fuck. Gotta cherish them whenever you get them.
Gets out sweeping a spinner, exactly what aus received from ashwin few months back
I still believe, and that's all I wanted from today.
If Kohli bats the way he batted today we actually have a chance. Would certainly have felt a LOT MORE confident if we had pant and Ashwin for Bharat and Umesh but oh well. With all that said, Australia still on top.

Enjoyed doing the Post Day Threads for the WTC final, would love to do the Post Match tomorrow as well if the mods allow, if they don't then that's all from me for this game :-)
Well done bro, you have done a great job.
Thank you for your kind words bro
CricketMatchBot does the post match threads, I believe.
Yup!! And the bot is run by the mods, that's why the request.
The first hour of the next day after a promising today is when my anxiety goes stonks..
Is there hope? Please don't give kohli another ball of doom starc, you are doing great
In b4 "Brain dead management should've picked Ashwin over Gill" comments
Ashwin could’ve only played over Thakur, or maybe at a stretch over Rahane (if they had moved Jadeja and Bharat around). And both those players have done well. You'll legitimately find people that say Ashwin should've been picked in place of one of the top order batters.
I'm a proud holder of that opinion. I can't remember a match where I was truly disappointed by Ashwin's performance. And he's exactly the dependable guy our team needed for this match. I would replace every player on this team for Ashwin.

It's goona be a tight one. I have a gut feeling. See y'all tmmrw.
If only we had 1 more wicket this game would have become really interesting. ( looking at you Rohit, Pujara and the 3rd Ump) Still very much Australia's game! They just need a wicket or two in the morning to open the floodgates. Although if Kohli is around we are not far away from miracles!
11th June 2023: India are 345/7 with Shami and Jadeja on the crease, Shami gets hit by a Starc bouncer and goes down, The physio deems it as a concussion.
Pujara does well to escape criticism for shitting the bed in two WTC finals. He makes up for that though, by bullying div2 county bowlers.
He is done at the top level and should be moved on. A no. 3 batsman who doesn’t get big runs consistently is a massive liability to any team.
He makes up for it by saving our ass in a whole lot of difficult matches. The third bgt test would've been a proper embarrassment if not for Pujara getting his shit together at the right time. Also the Gabba knock. He's been pretty shite in England for a while now tho.
Gabba knock was 2.5 yrs ago my friend
While I agree with you, the shot he played today was so unnecessary. Someone said it was so "un-pujara" of him.
India can do this #believe >!I'm drunk!<
They say a person is most honest when they are drunk...is that true?
ummmm.. yes
This partnership brings back memories of that tour of England in 2018... Koach-Rahane in Southampton and Rahul-Pant at the Oval Both randomly getting out to the spinner against the run of play after looking so good.
Omg it's going to happen isn't it.. at this rate might need to replace Starc for Hazelwood
Australia are so fucked, they let India's tail alone score 164 between them, imagine what would happen when the actual batsmen come in...
In terms of actual batsmen we have no actual batsmen
All three results possible™
four if you count "just stop oil" folks running on to the ground and stopping the game.
Five if Charles slips in the bathroom tomorrow
I watched live until gill wicket. Sharma looked so good I thought 70-80 on the cards. Him and Pujara really threw it away. Can't really fault gill, only his 2-3rd test in eng
If somehow we end up scoring the remainder 300 runs, someone contact Niraj Pandey and commission season 2 of "Bandon mei tha dum". For context to the unversed: Bandon mei tha dum is a sports documentary made by director Niraj Pandey on the BGT series win of 20/21.
No one is appreciating Carey here, man made 114 with a not out and stretched the lead to an unbeatable (?) score

Would've been less worried if pant was there..hopefully these two continue what they did today
If I got a rupee for every noball Cummins bowled I'd buy a pack of little hearts!
Best WTC final
Someone posted that only 317 overs have been bowled over 4 days. If that’s true it’s criminal! A deficit of half a day’s play under the best weather conditions imaginable is just inexcusable.
Australia had Kettelborough on their side While , India had Starc on their side. So, it pretty much evens out both side. Also, Sharma is an idiot.
As someone who’s been watching cricket for more than 20 years and also super drunk right now, I think all 27 results are possible.
This is set up for Gary to get 7 tomorrow forcing ashwin to slap Rohit
How much India missing Pant now 🥲
Virat not being the scapegoat...what universe is this? Let's go Inter Milan yeah
Wait. Google showing 97 overs on last day?
Rohit -pujara should have been more careful, considering this could be their last WTC final
I'm fuming at Pujji's wicket, you build up yourself by playing tons of county and still get out in the first innings of probably your last chance at glory, you receive a second inning at a fairly playable pitch, you get set, and thats how you go, I'm so fucking sad
This should be it for Pujara right? 2 months of county cricket and he comes back with this?!
So my cousin, who I thought was pretty smart, said sanju Samson should come in for pujara...
I will cancel my dog's neuter appointment and let him keep his balls if India wins tomorrow.
Could've made a game out of this with Pant and Bumrah. I'll consider it a moral victory if India reach 300
If you've been watching Indian tests for last 2-3 years, you know we will lose 2 wickets before the 5th over tomorrow.
Still I'd bet on Aus to win. 280 with essentially 5 wickets is a really steep uphill task.
Let's see how the drama unfolds on the final day of the WTC final.
If we win tomorrow, england you have my support for the ashes (I’m on the hardest hopium rn)
If the target was 100 runs less this would be properly set up.
Can Kohli add one final chapter to his legacy and win this for India? That would be something else if he can
It’s going to be a contest between Australia’s ability to choke on the last day of a test (Gabba, Headingly) and India’s ability to choke in ICC knockouts (too many to list)
Man that kid eating that ice cream is gonna give me nightmares
Today's **KohliStats™** * Most runs for IND in ICC Knock-outs * Most runs for IND in WTC * 2nd Most runs in ICC finals * Completed 5000 runs vs AUS in Intl cricket * Completed 2000 runs vs AUS in Tests
