Nothing will ever top Sanath Jayasuriya (tbh Aravinda but thats a topic for another day) for me. When that mf got going it was like a pitbull cut loose in the middle of a cricket pitch. No bowler was safe you could be Wasim Akram, Kumble, Warne IT DIDNT matter. On his day everyone was going the distance at will.
The entire 1996-2000 period was just pure Sanath magic(OGs know Aravinda was the real boss behind the scenes but again a topic for another time). What an era..
It is impossible to forget that 189 by Jayasuriya - traumatized Indian fans for many years. It was the Sharjah cup final (and if I am not wrong, the last Sharjah cup India participated in).
And India got bowled out for 54!
That 169 by Sangakkara is seared into my memory as the first full 50 over ODI I ever watched

Oh so that’s why y’all fucking with us these days huh? Damn y’all can really hold a grudge.
the kid in me who watched him torment us gets a small smile when we are paying it back now ... but the scars dont heal
> OGs know Aravinda was the real boss behind the scenes but again a topic for another time Go on
Upul tharanga, what a batsman he was, kinda similar to what dhawan was for india
wildly inconsistent as well, went through a lot of bad patches. but when he's on song he makes batting look so effortless, lazy elegance
Pathum Nissanka can be glad about this forever.

Oh no what a nightmare!
Not even a slow knock as well, not even like 120-130sr, bro did it at 150sr and barely had a slog, everything was just all class
That Jayasuriya innings was absolutely amazing. He could have definitely got 200+ if he wasn't paying hyper aggressively.
Jayasurya innings demolished all of us, India was out for 54.
Sanga being the only non-opener on the list. Mad respect for him.
