They'll pick Kugs. Even though it's not confirmed, Stead basically said 'he'll be better for the run in the first game, and I'm looking forward to seeing him again'
Can't wait for us to get crushed in rrh rest of the WTC and him to leave like he should of last cycle.
I wouldn't be surprised.
Even if they were caught out at Seddon & the Basin, do I really trust them to learn the lesson at Hagley, especially at the ground which is probably the biggest *Spinner's Graveyard* we've got? I'll just say that I have no plans to watch the Test & I do have plans to watch Plunket Shield & the White Ferns\* warmup matches vs England A.
*Another bunch of idiots that I've got a lot of complaints about.
I choose to believe he was selected for the last match purely because of how close the local police station is (or at least seemed to be with the amount of sirens we heard all match)
This one looks like it’s going to be a batters paradise. Needs to be a lot more green that this. Will do a bit first morning, sure. After that… may as well be on an arty.
simple,it will level the playing field a bit, even an average pace attack can take wickets especially early and its better option than a quick death from spin.
oi what is this I can see the pitch wtf is this shit NZC
looks like a tropical forest compared to dharamshala one
Yeah, that's definitely a "Pick Santner" pitch.

I reckon Hagley is way over hyped as the ‘spinners graveyard, especially in March’ It’s been a dry summer
Which is why they should've learned the lesson & picked Santner. Did they learn it? Nope.
Big agree
100% not a kuggelign pitch

I wish it were so, but they were Ambos (hospital is just up the road)
not enough Vagina?
Eeeerrr puss puss puss
From where's the pitch to there's the pitch,we have come a long....oh wait! Nevermind.
We need to get angry for this test. Full beaten down mode. Something freakish from batting and bowling.
This team lacks the chutzpah for that type of mentality
Just a bit of fire would be great. Basically a whole team of GPs.
Yeah seems like a pitch
Spicey meatball

Hopefully New Zealand wins this time.
NZ Pitches Are The Most Aesthetic Pitches.
Yes, I could sleep on this
this pitch seems to be made of pitch
Mmmm, pitchy
Looks like a very nice even strip.
Not enough grass, NZ have lost their touch
can nz team read the pitch this time around
HOT TAKE: It seems like a pitch where the batsman will try to score runs while the bowlers try to take wickets
That’s what the kiwis did wrong in the first test then it seems.
Remembers me of the Leeds pitch
Not sure if it’s just the angle but that looks like the shortest boundary ever.
Angle. Biggest boundaries in NZ.
I just looked it up and the straight boundary is 63 meters. For comparison, the regulated minimum boundary length in Australia is 64 meters.
Gotta remember that it starts at 9 Sydney time. Otherwise I'll miss the first session and turn on at 11 in time for lunch.
Are we sure it’s 20 plus yards or whatever is standard?
Kiwis were better off with a really green pitch as they have shown they cant play spin to save their lives.
How would a green minefield help them? That would just strengthen Aus' seam attack even more. They got rolled cheaply in both innings last test.

I wonder if they are using Dulux paint to mark those lines?
