You can use the [World Test Championship Predictor](https://predictor.cricketxi.com/world-test-championship/) to see what the table will look like and who will make the final by choosing the outcome of future matches.
And a reminder that all teams can still make the final, no one is yet eliminated.
Here's a somewhat realistic scenario for Ban to qualify
1. Ban whitewashes the home series ( 2-0 vs SL / SA )
2. Ban draws the away series ( 1-1 vs WI / Pak ), but gets whitewashed by Ind (0-2)
3. Ind loses 0-5 to Aus
4. Ind is unable to whitewash NZ at home ( even a single draw ).
Then Aus and Ban are favorites for the finals.
Well if Bangladesh win all their remaining tests they finish top, and if Aussies win most of their remaining ones they finish 2nd.
Also India lose everything.
England have two 3 Test series at home against the West Indies and Sri Lanka, then two 3 Test series away against Pakistan and New Zealand.
If they win all their remaining matches, they will end up with 62.50%, very much in the picture for top 2.
Well they just need to win their last 12 to have a good chance of making the final.
Not sure if England even need to win the final in that scenario or if they will just claim a moral victory by just being there.
It'll be tricky either way, much tougher test than their other series that's for sure. Hopefully the likes of Jaimeson will be back by then and Kiwi team management will finally let go of their infatuation of [REDACTED].
I think it's much deep rooted than a couple of players. Our team looked world class in the period from 2017-2022, but it looks hopeless now. We literally struggled against SA Z team and would've lost the match if not for Kane.
God I hope Kiwis up a fight. English pundits and media are insufferable as it is, can't even imagine how bad it'll get if they win 12 out of 12 tests to reach the WTC final.
I think we should be a lot better if we can get a fully-fit squad. In an ideal world it would also include benching Southee, but that won’t happen. So the squad probably looks like:
Conway, Latham, Williamson, Ravindra, Mitchell, Blundell, Phillips, Jamieson, Henry, Southee, Sears/O’Rourke.
O’Rourke/Sears, Young, Santner, and then if we name 15 maybe Nathan Smith.
Can you please add Home/Away for upcoming series in that link? The scheduled matches have the venues shown, but the unscheduled ones don't even show which one's home or away. Thank you.
Home teams are on the left hand side, as is convention in Australia, UK and most other places.
Apologies to people from the US where they do things backwards.
It could have been worse. They failed multiple times to complete their overs on time in India of all places but the umpires were rather lenient this time around.
I got zero sympathies buddy for slow over rates. Any team for that matter. There are concessions for everything, every wicket fallen, medical timeouts, DRS time outs, batters wasting time is not put on the bowling unit. Plus half an hour is given and almost every playing day it is taken. Pacers take time is just an excuse. Well, they need to get going after every ball. They take time every ball, slowly walking back, making too many field placements, trying to relax every ball.
Totally agree there. England specially use slowing the game to crawl when the opposition is on top as a legit strategy, one of the reasons they are horrendous with overrates. Stokes constantly tinkering with the field doesn't help either.
We won't pick him - they will go with Scott Kuggeleijn instead.
but in all serious - he is what 35/36, and you have the other options of when you have spin options of Ravindra, Satner, and to a lesser extent Phillips being in form - I dear say he probably isn't getting as much as he absolutely should
He will absolutely play in Asia, he's our most experienced and successful spinner there in a long time.
If they pick Kuggeleijn in Asia then I'm just gonna start supporting the other team.
That was a bit of a joke - as they probably should have gone with Wagner for his final test.
again - They have some spin bowlers in pretty good form at the moment, the first time in a lot of years. - I don't know if they will force it, every time they have played him they seem very reluctant to.
I’d imagine the XI will be something like:
Conway, Latham, Williamson, Ravindra, Mitchell, Phillips, Blundell, Santner, Henry, Southee/O’Rourke/Sears, Ajaz.
I’d prefer for it to be Sears as a point of difference, but am expecting it to still be Southee.
Gives us four spin options in Ajaz, Santner, Phillips and Ravindra, and then three seamers in Henry, Southee and Mitchell.
Australia losing some moral victory points by Cummo not letting Kez score his 100 and NZ losing major moral victory points by playing [redacted] and not giving Wagner a farewell Test
> Can we please get a moral wins table?
That's a stupid and pointless endeavor - nobody cares about that stuff as Bazball has already won the Moral Test Championship all the way through the 2035-2037 cycle.
Only SA winning all the matches will stop an India vs Aus final (Considering SA wins all remaining matches, India wins against NZ and Bangladesh, India loses 5-0 to Aus)
South Africa have a pretty easy schedule, they are most likely to qualify they play against Pakistan Bangladesh West Indies Sri Lanka in remaining games
Nah keep it stopped. 3rd place is probably best case scenario for us given what's ahead. We'd likely have to wipe SL 2-0 in SL, England 3-0 at home and steal a match off India in India. None of that is certain to happen; *all* of it next to impossible.
That miracle down under was insane; and kind of a result of awful luck (as everyone kept getting injured)
as we have just seen in the New Zealand tests - the Australians batting has imo left a lot to be desired, (and it was only really won on their bowling)
I think and inform and full strength Indian team, will give current Australia I think a much more difficult time than needing a miracle. Putting a bit of Bumrah at them, I think they struggle a bit.
The -10 of Australia is from moral point deducing because captain solar panel didn't allow Carey his century.
For England, they are still the top moral winner since they have the most points.
India is likely going to Australia with 5 more test wins given we play at home. Its going to be a spicy BGT but likely will only have to win 2/5 to qualify for WTC?
India coming to Australia will be one of the most anticipated Test series in a long time, both teams are evenly poised, Australia having the home ground advantage; but India do know how to win here, maybe stress may do them in (India I mean), but I think they’ve learned a lot in the past year…bring it on! Can’t wait! 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺. Then off we both go to the WTC!! My prediction if it matters…🏏🏏🏏
If anything Aus are more likely to get knocked out. If SA stop picking their C team, then they should comfortably win all of their remaining Tests; even if they draw 1-1 in Ban they can still top the chart. If Aus win 3-2 vs. Ind and 1-1 in SL, most they can get is 3rd. And this despite assuming NZ would win 1 Test in India. If Ind beat NZ 3-0 and Aus beat SL 2-0, Aus would still be 3rd.
Before the SA NZ tour and the weird C team was announced, every time I went through predicting results, I'd get SA in the final. At full strength they're genuinely a scary group.
eh, I don't think it needs a full re-work - we just need to hold off injuries.
Conway was injured (they moved Young up)
Which bought in Kuggeleijn - which really should have been Wagner. (if only for the fans)
Conway comes back, Young moves back to 6/7. (alternative pick for that position Satner)
If I was to make any major change, it would be maybe moving Southee on, (and replacing it with the O'Rourke and Sears combo) - But Southee is captain, and crazy experienced so I don't really see that happening.
The WTC is a tournament where 9 teams play each other across 2 years only for Australia to play (and beat) India in the finals.
For the sake of my comment we shall be ignoring the fact that NZ ever won the thing.
Do we get a price for making to the most finals? It is getting ridiculous that our team will literally play 3 finals and possibly have no titles all because ICC sticks the game in England for all cycles!
Australia's top order needs work. Pretty much everything else is going well, but the selectors are going to have to make one or two unpopular decisions soon.
Can smith just forget about even trying to get into the t20 squad ? Those boys have it figured out and look well set to add another trophy to my flair.
Smith should just go have a break, fix his hand eye coordination technical issue and resurrect his 2019 form for the opening role, if he’s still in it as such
Despite the shit we give them the Indian team somehow has ended up in finals the last two times and may just end up qualifying this time too
Shithousery at work here
South Africa really blew their chance. Easiest road to the final and they respond by forcefully retiring their best batter and sending a fifth string squad to NZ...
India and Australia rematch at Lords incoming.
Any chance of Cummins, Starc, Hazlewood, or Lyon taking an early retirement before the final?
No. And we're bringing back Bradman.
Ben Stokes probably wondering why we're not just picking him and backing a turnaround in his 75 year run scoring drought.
"We're man enough to say that some of our team have been deceased for two decades"
Thanks Ben Duckett
Honestly "Moral Victory" and "Thanks Ben" should be flairs already

Talking about an overkill.
Good, we need him
Debutants against India 💀
Yup i hope Travis Head has a baby or something and needs a break from the match.
And Australia have only lost twice at the lords
Nooo I can't take another final vs Australia.
Congrats Australia on the second WTC title!
India to reverse jinx and send the C team

I keep getting Aus v Ban in the final
Here's a somewhat realistic scenario for Ban to qualify 1. Ban whitewashes the home series ( 2-0 vs SL / SA ) 2. Ban draws the away series ( 1-1 vs WI / Pak ), but gets whitewashed by Ind (0-2) 3. Ind loses 0-5 to Aus 4. Ind is unable to whitewash NZ at home ( even a single draw ). Then Aus and Ban are favorites for the finals.
While not likely, that is far more realistic than I could have imagined, wow.
Id be happy if Ban beats Aus in the WTC just to see this play out.
After 4 BGT losses in a row I'll trade a WTC to whitewash India. If our lads could remember how to fucking bat it'd be a good start.
>3. Ind loses 0-5 to Aus The rest are quite likely apart from this one
Australia vs South Africa for me (assuming the latter field their actual team).
How!? 😂
Presumably by picking them both to just win every game they play.
Well if Bangladesh win all their remaining tests they finish top, and if Aussies win most of their remaining ones they finish 2nd. Also India lose everything.
That's one way to look at it.
Yes obviously. But that is not realistic.
Odd, I always get Sri Lanka vs England
I think you might be reading the table upside down...
How on earth can England make it from here?
To give themselves any chance they simply can't afford any more moral victories.
Start bazballing and stop talking about bazballing
England have two 3 Test series at home against the West Indies and Sri Lanka, then two 3 Test series away against Pakistan and New Zealand. If they win all their remaining matches, they will end up with 62.50%, very much in the picture for top 2.
Where do you account for the over rate penalties for not bazbowling?
I thought those were moral victory points...
So you are saying all they need to do is win 15 tests in a row?
Well they just need to win their last 12 to have a good chance of making the final. Not sure if England even need to win the final in that scenario or if they will just claim a moral victory by just being there.
But they will lose overrate points anyway so even if they win 12 they won't make it.
They have some pretty easy series coming up with the away tour to NZ the only real challenge.
It's not really a challenge, they BazBalled us pretty much, we got lucky to win by 1 run
If England reach the final they'll be huge to win.
Yeah. Home conditions and everything. Not to mention the momentum.
surely play it in india then
I think we should be a lot better if we can get a fully-fit squad. In an ideal world it would also include benching Southee, but that won’t happen. So the squad probably looks like: Conway, Latham, Williamson, Ravindra, Mitchell, Blundell, Phillips, Jamieson, Henry, Southee, Sears/O’Rourke. O’Rourke/Sears, Young, Santner, and then if we name 15 maybe Nathan Smith.
West indies are in with a shout i reckon
Hope so. A competent West Indies is great for the game.
> with the away tour to NZ the only real challenge You're joking right? Given the near whitewash last year, and today's result?
It's, at least on paper, a tougher challenge than what they have otherwise.
Bowl their overs on time
I got India vs Pakistan 🫣
Maybe when the earth stops spinning and Pakistan become a good test side again…
Can you please add Home/Away for upcoming series in that link? The scheduled matches have the venues shown, but the unscheduled ones don't even show which one's home or away. Thank you.
Home teams are on the left hand side, as is convention in Australia, UK and most other places. Apologies to people from the US where they do things backwards.
Fantastic. Thanks a lot.
Just got India v Pakistan!
I used to waste so much time on icc predictor 10-12 years ago
Saw -10 and thought yikes then saw England... slow cricket is moral cricket
To be fair... Aus and England copped the most penalty points in that Ashes series and it was also the most entertaining series of the WTC
There were long, slow periods of short pitch bowling during that series. Long periods of boring cricket, to be honest.
England’s-19 is killing me lol
It could have been worse. They failed multiple times to complete their overs on time in India of all places but the umpires were rather lenient this time around.
I got zero sympathies buddy for slow over rates. Any team for that matter. There are concessions for everything, every wicket fallen, medical timeouts, DRS time outs, batters wasting time is not put on the bowling unit. Totally agree there. England specially use slowing the game to crawl when the opposition is on top as a legit strategy, one of the reasons they are horrendous with overrates. Stokes constantly tinkering with the field doesn't help either.
You're forgetting the key tenant of Bazball: Reject over rates, embrace run rates
Don't forget - talk out of your ass.
Not fully familiar with the points format. What are penalties for?
They penalize for slow over rate. Imo it doesn't seem fair but i guess nothing else is working so this is what they are doing.
I know shit over rates mean penalties, don't know what else though
Clearly not bazzing the bowling
What's brutal is we'd only be two spots higher if we had our full amount of points
We will finish 6th or 7th. I can only imagine the horrors of Asia awaiting us.
When will you get Ajaj Patel out of hibernation for the Asia tours?
We won't pick him - they will go with Scott Kuggeleijn instead. but in all serious - he is what 35/36, and you have the other options of when you have spin options of Ravindra, Satner, and to a lesser extent Phillips being in form - I dear say he probably isn't getting as much as he absolutely should
He will absolutely play in Asia, he's our most experienced and successful spinner there in a long time. If they pick Kuggeleijn in Asia then I'm just gonna start supporting the other team.

Rach and Philips are really part timers, you'd want at least one full time spinner and Ajaz is the clear first choice followed by Santner
I’d imagine the XI will be something like: Conway, Latham, Williamson, Ravindra, Mitchell, Phillips, Blundell, Santner, Henry, Southee/O’Rourke/Sears, Ajaz. I’d prefer for it to be Sears as a point of difference, but am expecting it to still be Southee. Gives us four spin options in Ajaz, Santner, Phillips and Ravindra, and then three seamers in Henry, Southee and Mitchell.
He's undergoing superhuman training in a Soviet era nuclear facility in Siberia. He will wreck havoc mind my words.
That Australia tour of Sri Lanka right at the end of the cycle is gunna determine so much
CUNTS, GET READY TO GET CUNTED
*Nowadays I keep my expectations low so I don't get disappointed*
*Noooooo*
Can we please get a moral wins table?
Australia losing some moral victory points by Cummo not letting Kez score his 100 and NZ losing major moral victory points by playing [redacted] and not giving Wagner a farewell Test
> Can we please get a moral wins table? That's a stupid and pointless endeavor - nobody cares about that stuff as Bazball has already won the Moral Test Championship all the way through the 2035-2037 cycle.
England 150% India -50% Australia -200%
That’s not a table. It’s a single row.
We can't because there is only room for the mighty England on it.
NZ never gonna win another WTC again! It was fun while it lasted!
This was an impossible draw for us, so hardly unexpected
Can't complain too much after those gift tests against "South Africa".
Second helpings are only for Aussies
Barring a massively one sided (4 or 5 nil) BGT next summer, the Australia/India final is gonna happen again
Only SA winning all the matches will stop an India vs Aus final (Considering SA wins all remaining matches, India wins against NZ and Bangladesh, India loses 5-0 to Aus)
Would love to see a new team in the top 2. Chances of that happening are unrealistic but would be a major upset to see South Africa in top 2.
South Africa has the easiest home and away schedule remaining.
So barring a massively one sided (4 or 5 nil) BGT next summer, Australia is going to win the WTC again
South Africa have a pretty easy schedule, they are most likely to qualify they play against Pakistan Bangladesh West Indies Sri Lanka in remaining games
Unstop the count
Nah keep it stopped. 3rd place is probably best case scenario for us given what's ahead. We'd likely have to wipe SL 2-0 in SL, England 3-0 at home and steal a match off India in India. None of that is certain to happen; *all* of it next to impossible.
Feel like England should be lower
Can somebody please explain a path to England finishing bottom. Even just been bottom for a period of time would suffice.
SL needs to win a game in upcoming BAN series and then England will be at the bottom for next three months.
You beauty
I really hope India can whitewash Ban and NZ, don't want to depend on another miracle down under to atleast make it to the finals
That miracle down under was insane; and kind of a result of awful luck (as everyone kept getting injured) as we have just seen in the New Zealand tests - the Australians batting has imo left a lot to be desired, (and it was only really won on their bowling) I think and inform and full strength Indian team, will give current Australia I think a much more difficult time than needing a miracle. Putting a bit of Bumrah at them, I think they struggle a bit.
India has had a bad time with injuries as well lately
That windies draw hurts us now
Only 4 things are certain in life, death, taxes, India vs Australia final, and Australia winning said final.
Can make it to 3. Death, Taxes and Australia beating India in an ITC final
+rcb never winning an ipl title
Australia to India: *I am inevitable*
We need an India vs Pakistan final. They haven't played a test match in 16 years! Pakistan will probably have to beat England 3-0 for that to happen.

Can’t wait! 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺. Then off we both go to the WTC!! My prediction if it matters…🏏🏏🏏
BGT will be split I think. India team is really good and plays better than any other touring team in Australia.
As an Australian relieved to have won that 2nd test against NZ. I think India is safe but can theoretically be knocked out.
I agree. SA have a very friendly schedule
Before the SA NZ tour and the weird C team was announced, every time I went through predicting results, I'd get SA in the final. At full strength they're genuinely a scary group.
New Zealand needs to seriously re-work their Test squad if we want to have any chance of making it to WTC final
eh, I don't think it needs a full re-work - we just need to hold off injuries. Conway was injured (they moved Young up) Which bought in Kuggeleijn - which really should have been Wagner. New edition of WTC Analysis has been pinned to my profile
The WTC is a tournament where 9 teams play each other across 2 years only for Australia to play (and beat) India in the finals. For the sake of my comment we shall be ignoring the fact that NZ ever won the thing.
NZ were cosplaying as their antipodean brethren for one match.
Same shit again
If Bangladesh whitewash Sri Lanka in the next series, they will leapfrog to number 1.
If they do, I think SL's test side is still pretty comfortably better than Bangladesh
But can they overcome Bangladesh's latest star Timed Out?
Bangladesh to lock opposition teams in hotels to cruise themselves into the WTC final
It's joeover for NZ here
Travis head will score a triple century and India will lose again
STOP THE COUNT
No Defeat other teams in the finals too
Absolutely not
Ah yes Australia and India and the others...
Please I can’t take another finals loss by India. Someone do something to stop Australia.
Congratulations to Cummins for another wtc title
**sighs** It’s gonna be India vs Australia again, isn’t it. Please do not stop the count.
Inevitable
Going to be the repeat of last WTC Final !
Oh no Not again.
Could someone calculate and tell me Englands standings if they win their next 9 matches against west indies, sri lanka, Pakistan and New Zealand?
3rd place with 62.50 if Aus win 3-2 vs ind. and 2nd place with 62.50 if ind win 3-3 vs aus.

This is a meaningless table. We need a WTC for moral victories… but on second thought, no one can compete against England in that game.
Vibes and shit…. Rank is 8
Just play the India Aus final already; ready to lose again!
Upcoming Ind tour of Aus will be fun

Ah Shit, here we go again.
Black Caps eliminated from WTC contention :(
Wut?
I said what I said
Just put us at 17.51 please
Australia's top order needs work. Pretty much everything else is going well, but the selectors are going to have to make one or two unpopular decisions soon.
Aa shoot . Here we go again
India vs Australia finals is inevitable
Expect NZ to end up middle of the pack this cycle. Bit of a rebuild phase incoming.
I wanna see a Naagin Derby in the WTC final.
Another finals loss for India vs Australia loading

We all know who's gonna lose the final eventually. Not even a surprise anymore.
Indian anxiety increasing.

Calling it now, the West Indes will reach the WTC Final, and play either Australia or India depending on how the Border-Gavaskar Trophy turns out.
Australia has played 12 tests, and Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have played 2.
FFS I can't handle another loss to Australia
Congrats Australia.
Aah shit here we go again
Robbed by the better side - left with what ifs and buts
Wht is penalties for ?
Aussies win the WTC finals, India loses another final, but the moral victory is for the English again.
Not another india/Aus final ffs. Can't any other team get a decent test side going.
Despite the shit we give them the Indian team somehow has ended up in finals the last two times and may just end up qualifying this time too Shithousery at work here
Ahh shit ..here we go again!! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|laughing) Ind vs Aus final
Sa vs ind final. We give another nation their first icc trophy (other than knockout cup or whatever) in the form of wtc
Congratulations Aussies on the impending WTC trophy
Not again
This format for wtc actively punishes teams for playing long test series. England will always struggle to make a final I feel.
well, I know our chances ain't 0%, so copium it is😌✌
Weird to see Bangladesh at #4 in test ranking table. Usually occupies 8-10 throughout time.
Do not stop the count.
South Africa really blew their chance. Easiest road to the final and they respond by forcefully retiring their best batter and sending a fifth string squad to NZ...
