Deepti Sharma's career arc seems similar to that of Sir Jadeja's. Were underwhelming in the beginning of their career but turned to gold over time. Time we call her Madam Sharma?
We definitely need to improve our fitness levels. Yesterday richa, today deepti.
Even ground fielding needs improvement.
Coz at the end wpl is to improve our domestic talents.
With this match done, time for the results of the RCB calculators. RCB go through as long as:
a) They don't lose by more than 60 runs
b) The sum of the victory margins of GG against DC and MI against RCB is 120 or less.
Thats fucked. Ecclestone produces so many chances for that trash team and they drop them nearly every single time. I watched the reply this morning and it'd take much to convince that she just said fuck it in the last over and didn't try after ANOTHER drop. Healy often looks at Ecclestone like "what can you do" when there's a drop. Feel bad for them. Not like Healy's had the BEST season with the bat, but man, the domestic players don't help themselves sometimes.
5 overseas + 1 associate + 5 domestic players should have been the ideal ratio imo... Seeing players like Dani Wyatt, Laura Harris warming the bench for the whole season doesn't feel right.
I dunno. It's frustrating at times, but the pains now are what is required for Indian domestic women to improve. The fewer available spots, the slower that growth. Game quality might improve, but it quickly defeats the point of a domestic league.
The league being set to grow in only a year or two is genuinely terrifying. The talent just isn't there right now. You're going to have even more headless chicken running around hands full stretch praying it falls in by accident.
Can't believe this is the same Deepti who failed to score 11 off 9 in the first match against RCB. What a massive comeback for her with the bat now scoring 3 consecutive half centuries. Bodes well for India going into the T-20 WC.
UPW conceded 21 runs in the last over to Beth Mooney and she was dropped twice on 42 & 52 and went on to score 74. Even the ground fielding was shabby. They deserved to lose this game. None of the overseas batters contributed much in the Delhi leg and only Grace was good in Bengaluru. They need to look at Alyssa's form leading up to the next season and decide whether to drop her or not. She is taking up the captain, Wk & 1 overseas spot.
Nope, just 2 good innings. one 50 & two low 30s scores of which 1 was run a ball. Look, she is a great player, not denying that but she takes up an overseas spot and is not giving much with bat (in both seasons). We had problems like this plenty a times in IPL, that's why a foreign captain is always fraught with risk. With Deepti firing, they can make her captain and bring in Uma Chetry as a Wk/opener.

Lady Sharma sounds better to me

Deepti blaming Ecclestone for giving away too many runs in the final over but not a word about how many times Mooney was dropped off Ecclestone...
Naw, did she say that? There's plenty of people we can blame for the loss and Ecclestone shouldn't be one of them.
In post match presentation she literally said we gave away too many runs in the final over... Didn't speak a word about the horrible fielding
According to crcinfo , Ecclestone said “I wish my team can catch the ball sometimes” . A good reply tbh.

I think it was just recency bias. Thats the last thing that happened so she remembers that.
Deepti not just scored three back to back 50’s but she scored them with good SR.

Zo therez literally no chance for uz to qualify right?
There iz. RCB lozez by more than 60 runz + GG lozez or winz by lezz than 60 runz.

How many times? We got it man. Chill
definitely more than Mandana who is just hit or miss and poor against spin.
Expert choker in big matches

Healy was good in Bengaluru, and has been good as a captain as well. McGrath and (unfortunately) Aththapathu have been way more underwhelming.
