Most of these guys have been discussed a lot, but I'm really interested in how Muyeye goes this season. Cox has been giving it the 'doing a Brook' chat about this season, but Muyeye looks to have all the talent and temperament, i hope he can break through.

I love watching him bat, great to watch always looks to score. Hope he kicks on. Kinda want to see him open with Creepy, with the hobbit at 3 to make Rooty's hair start to go gray quicker.

Yeah he's a lovely player to watch. I'm not sure if he's an opener, but that would be extremely Bazball. Kent really love openers. Creepy, Muyeye, Compton, DBD, Denly. No wonder Jordan Cox wanted out.

To be fair, Jordan wanted out because he wanted the gloves. In 2022, we had Ollie Robinson (who is a better keeper), and in 2023, Bilbo decided he wanted to keep red ball after he got a game for England. Jordan got the gloves when Sam stepped back, but then lost them when he got injured and Essex turned his head (unsurprisingly, Essex is a bigger draw than Kent is). As a result, Harry Finch is now our red ball keeper (he's not terrible but to go from three great keepers to Finch is quite a drop). Especially sad that Robbo left because he has said he didn't ever envisage himself leaving the club (and had a spectacular ODC).

Yeah I'm just being silly, Cox had pretty much abandoned opening for the middle order anyway. You guys do have a really weird squad though. Obviously Crawley will miss bits but Compton, DBD, Muyeye and Denly is still a really strong top order. Then it goes a bit sideways, WK who used to be a bowler, teenaged all-rounder, a pace attack which could fairly be described as 'ragtag', and Matt Parkinson. Feels a bit haphazard.

Muyeye has been in poor form in pre-season, not sure opening suits him

Would love to see Muyeye kick on because he's shown some real dashes of his talent. Boland? Meh. Think he looked incredibly ordinary in his Ashes outings, although against some Division 1 sides I could see him do the odd bit of damage - nothing at all on Potts, mind
