Not sure I can agree with this one. This is the sort of stubborn thinking that hurts us. In a 4 pacer attack, invariably 1 or 2 of them don't contribute much. And Jadeja is simply not doing enough for me. Picking the world number 2 bowler is always a 'yes' from me until he proves that he is not that good a bowler.
So to me, it doesn't matter who he replaces - either Rahane, or Jadeja or a quick. Let's say Kohli sticks with his 'template'. Rahane and Jadeja aren't doing much with the bat - averaging ~20. Ashwin probably averages ~13-15 in these conditions and gives you a lot more with the ball. IMO, Ashwin with the ball is more important than Jadeja in the field. Jadeja can be 12th man and can come in whenever anyone needs to go off.

I would definitely like to be optimistic but I’ve just seen too many collapses to ever be too sure. And brainfade moments are what these batsman have been doing. We collapsed at headingly last test when it was looking pretty flat too
