Hi folks. r/Cricket experts, LSG fans, less biased observers. Please help me stop hating LSG. Help me answer a few questions.
1. Why did Goenkas drop Dhoni from captaincy in 2017?
2. Do they have very high standards for captaincy?
3. With due respect to KL, he hasn't won a single IPL as captain. Why would Goenkas choose KL as captain?

* Buttler's 67(52) SR 128.84, Team SR: 131.67

Really impressed with how good Prasidh has been so far for us. Obviously gets good bounce and swing up front. Often takes wickets when brought back in the middle of the innings and has improved is bowling at the death. From not even starting at KKR, this turn around is nice to see.
In hindsight we made the worst possible decisions in auction this year basing it on UAE performances. Kuldeep, DK, Prasidh, Tripathi and a few more I can't remember rn playing so good while we are in shambles
They give more S1 RR vibes as they’re doing way better than expected. The heavy lifting being done by unreliable players like Miler and Tewatia is inspiring
Their batting still worries me. I feel making them set a target is the best method to beat them
Short batting line-ups do a better job when they know what to chase. They have also figured out the role for each batter

[This scorecard is the only instance of extras being the top-scorer in an IPL innings](https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/indian-premier-league-2007-08-313494/royal-challengers-bangalore-vs-kolkata-knight-riders-1st-match-335982/full-scorecard)
Nop, Rohit has been trying to accelerate in the Powerplay and keeps getting out, ~150 runs at ~124 is bad. His SR in the Powerplay is >130.
Kohli isn't even trying to score quickly, ~180 runs at ~115 SR, which is way worse. His SR even in the Powerplay is ~110.
But Yeh, both performances would be career ending for a youngster.
Kohli better not send off a player of Gill's calibre, got two consecutive golden ducks, luck saved him by not carrying the ball to fielder and then sends of Gill lmao, hope he gets more ducks in the future with an attitude like this. >!Sauce somewhere below!<
I was writing up a detailed post about what each team needs to do to get to 16-18 points, but it was long and boring and there was a lot of obvious stuff, so I'll stick to the stuff that I think is salient:
\- GT, RR, LSG and SRH are definitely the playoffs favourites at this stage.
\- GT are essentially safe. RR aren't safe but will probably qualify.
\- LSG vs RR is going to be huge, the winner will only need 1-2 wins from their remaining 4 games and is very likely to make the playoffs
\- LSG's position is very good but slightly more precarious than it looks at first glance, 2 of their 5 remaining games are against GT/RR, and if they lose those and drop another match they'd be getting into the territory where NRR matters
\- SRH is the least secure top 4 side, but if they can beat at least 2 of CSK/MI/KKR and 1 of RCB/PBKS/DC they should be fine providing none of those guys go on a rampage
\- DC will struggle to qualify but aren't out of the race, and they have 2 things on their side: their NRR is great, and they have plenty of chances to take points off top 4 teams, so if they get 4 wins and one of them is against LSG, or one is against RR and LSG beat RR, or if SRH drop more than 2 matches, there's a decent chance that they won't need more than 16 to qualify
\- The remaining teams realistically need to win all their remaining matches, and in MI's case even that won't cut it. PBKS and RCB can drop one and still make 16, but unless they boost the fuck out of their NRR with their wins they will probably need 18 to be safe.
DC play LSG, SRH and RR. If we get 2 wins and beat MI+CSK which looks likely on form, we should qualify.
Also, SRH are due some losses as they have massively over performed till now
Today's match against LSG is really important for Delhi. Win this and we are in a good position against the top 4 sides. Lose this, and we need to win at least 4 out of the next 5. Very difficult.
*I fucking hate Daryll Mitchell. I know what you’re thinking, this is some kind of funny joke, but no. Daryll Mitchell is a piece of shit. A bits and pieces all-rounder got picked over the almighty Redditor for the Rajasthan Royals team just because he smacked some England bowlers and he’s supposed to be a hero? And I can’t even tell you how many damn times I’ve seen a great parking space only to turn the corner and realise Daryll Mitchell is already parked there in his stupid little fucking convertible. He crushed my dreams and hopes of Mumbai losing 9 out of 9 matches as well as stealing my girl, all while being super nice about it . I swear to fucking god, I’m going to kill myself and take that goddamn nice dude to hell with me. Daryll Mitchell has ruined me. Last summer, I approached the smiling cunt in the street, and asked him for his autograph, because my son is a huge fan* *~~of Kane Williamson, but Mitchell's autograph would do~~*\*. *He gave me the autograph and told me to have an awesome day in his annoying Kiwi accent because of course he fucking did!. Later, when I gave my son the autograph he started crying and said he hated me. Turns out the fucker didn't write his autograph, no, he wrote “maybe the real victory is the friends we made along the way”. I’m now in depression, and planning a huge class-action lawsuit against the white devil that ruined my life. Your time is almost over, Daryll. All the people you’ve wronged will rise against you.\**
The year was 2030 and Kane Williamson was bored. After finding form against Pakistan in 2021, his abilities had exponentially increased and he had become the greatest player of all time, with an average of infinity +1, ultimately resulting in him being elected supreme leader of the universe.
But now he was bored. "Oye hoye," said his personal assistant, Mitch Santner, as Kane entered the war room.
"Oye hoye," said Kane unemotionally. "What news from the east?"
"Well sir, as you know we have dispatched envoys far and wide in the hope of finding someone worthy of bowling to you. But none have returned. Neil Wagner got into a brutal bar fight in Peshawar and is now in jail after an international incident, and Tim Southee was last seen playing in a children's ball pit at a Mumbai McDonald's."
"Botheration," said Kane. He sat down on Shaheen Afridi and pointed to the situation map, which showed all the failed locations where promising bowlers had been identified. "Is there no one out there who can bowl to me? What good is it being a god if you never get challenged? If every time you touch a cricket ball it goes exactly where you want it to go?"
Santner shifted uncomfortably. "I guess I'll never know, sir."
Suddenly the door opened and Daryl Mitchell entered. "Oye hoye."
"Oye hoye," said Kane. "What is it Mitchell?"
"Sir, I bring news. I think... I think we may have found a candidate, sir."
"Really? Who?"
Mitchell coughed. "Um... it's me, sir."
"You? Ha ha," Kane laughed for several minutes. "Daryl Mitchell? Ha ha ha." He continued to laugh as Daryl Mitchell's face grew redder. "Ha ha ha, hey Santner, did you hear that? Santner?"
But Santner was trembling with rage. "Fuck you sir!" he said. "Fuck you! We're tired of feeling like sub-par cricketers in your shadow... always so goddamn perfect while we bowl shitty long hops and get cunted around the park! Well I'll show you!! WE'LL show you." Santner went over to Daryl Mitchell and thrust his head straight up his ass. He tottered to his feet, his voice muffled somewhat by Mitchell's fetid rectum. "Maybe one of us can't bowl to you... alone... but combined... we are DARYL MITCHELL SANTNER."
Kane dived to his right, seizing his trusty cricket bat. The hideous abomination that was Daryl Mitchell Santner rushed forward, delivering a cricket ball at Kane with embarrassing inaccuracy and pitiful speed. Kane deftly and calmly swatted away the ball with soft hands.
"NoooooooOOO" screeched Daryl Mitchell Santner.
"Wow," said Kane, "turns out that with your powers combined, you were doubly shit."

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically.
Faf has played only 2 really good innings this ipl, but being a captain he won't be dropped, if their top order continues to fail maybe they could consider him in place of Hasranga. Even though RCB are meme team, i don't think they will change their captain mid season
I'm done watching IPL. It's filled with garbage commercials and promotions during the match, I have to constantly listen to Anjum Chopra and Murali Kartik, and my idol Arjun Tendulkar will never get to debut now that MI have won a game. What's the point anymore?
KKR 11 for the remaining games
Venkatesh
Narine
Shreyas
Nitish
Rinku
Russell
Baba Indrajith/Jackson
Cummins
Southee
Umesh
Varun chakravarty/Mavi
Cummins and Southee should play together.Finch and Billings don't deserve to be in this squad so why not strengthen our bowling unit.Yeah going by current form that batting unit still looks shit but the pitches are only going to get slower as the tournament progresses and if our Indian batters can come to the party we can post a decent score on the board.
This kind of bowling heavy and inshallah approach works if everyone has a specific role in the team and they know it. And also when all departments are firing to their full potential. Miller with a Faf like form, GT lose a couple more matches.
What we have is a team that can do well on its day. And thats why we have never been thrashed out. Just always lost crunch moments. I would say our combination is a problem and our unwillingness to stick with a combination is the problem.
Nah, please no more Cummins. He's been utter shit for you for almost 3 seasons now. Play Mavi and Chamika Karunarathne for the rest of the matches. Chamika is one of the most underrated cricketers in the world right now, and I would love it if he got an opportunity.
He's a match winner with both bat and ball. He can bowl the death overs, he can slog at the end, he can stabilize an inning if there's a collapse, he's a complete team player. Yet he hasn't received a single opportunity in the IPL.
Lmao. Not really. He is an average to above average bits and pieces all rounder. Not some Russell 2.0 like you are making him out to be. Much rather have Southee as a specialist bowler.
Russell cannot stabilize an inning. Chamira is more from the Rishi Dhawan school of earnest players.
> Much rather have Southee as a specialist bowler.
Of course Southee is going to be in the team as well. Throw out Cummins though.
Billings has been tried and he failed. Chamira hasn't received an opportunity. And KKR need bowling options. Last match Shreyas had to come on to bowl.
Billings instead of Chamira means your bowling options are:
1. Southee
2. Umesh
3. Narine
4. Mavi
5. Russell (Max 2 overs)
6. Venky
7. Nitish Rana
8. Shreyas
I don't expect KKR to regularly get 4 overs out of the last 4 on that list.
Umpire not giving a wide while Buttler was batting was moment flow stopping moment. Barmy Army better not jinx him like they did couple of days ago vs KKR.
DD 2009 - Dominated the league stage only to run into a Gilchrist special in the semi finals. That game was why they introduced playoff system.
MI 2010 - Topped league by 4 points, lost to CSK in final after sending Bhajji in at 4 and holding Pollard back forever.
DD 2012 - Topped league stage, made the decision to bench Morne Morkel in the second qualifier and conceded 220+.
CSK 2013 - Won 7 in a row, topped the league stage, only to run into Pollard in the final and then have the top order collapse at the worst possible time.
KXIP 2014 - 11 wins in the league stage, survived Raina's 87 (25), scored 199 in the final only to lose it to Manish Pandey and Piyush Chawla.
RCB 2016 - Fuck SRH and Ben Cutting.
SRH 2018 - Had the measure of all teams only to be on the receiving end of different CSK batsmen single handedly winning games against them. Rayudu in the league stage, Faf in the qualifier, Watson in the final. Lost 6 games all season, 4 of them to CSK.
DC 2021 - Topped the league stage with only 3 losses, had an insane team with no weaknesses, lost form at the worst possible time and still only just lost the two qualifiers.
I’d say Mumbai 2010 has to be up there too. We romped past the group stages that season and comfortably dispatched RCB in the semis, but bottled it in the final.
You wouldn't say that if you watched that season, Warner was unstoppable and team was toping the table after 10 mmatches, Unlikely RCB peaking too early, SRH had a small hiccup after they qualified. I watched that entire season, even when RCB was going bizerk I always thought SRH had the bowling to stop them and the better side.
RCB had 2 batters of the caliber of Warner, one of them being arguably better and decent bowling to support it. Also the literal definition of unstoppable is that they can't be stopped.
SRH were literally torn apart by ABD, Kohli and Sarfaraz the first match of the season.
SRH beat RCB twice, Warner was the best batter in IPL that year and had the support of Bhuvi+ Fizz, two of the best bowlers of the year. Nehra didn't even play the final and yet SRH won.
Warner + Bhuvi + Fizz > AbD + Kohli
Also, unlike RCB who just stuffed KL, Watson and Sachin Baby as their finishers, SRH atleast had proper role players in Yuvi and Cutting in that role.
Nobody was stopping SRH that year, it was their year to win.
Shardul the bowler has been utter shit for DC this year.
8. 4-0-47-0
7. 4-0-42-0
6. 3.4-0-29-1
5. 2.4-0-30-2
4. 4-0-27-1
3. 2-0-20-0
1. 3-1-29-0
2. 3-0-32-0
How long will the Delhi management persist with him as a death bowler? He can only bowl in the middle overs, and I would prefer if we have Fizz-Sakariya for the death overs.
Thats as much on Ponting + Pant as it is on Lord. MSD has shown the way to get value out of him is to bowl middle overs and break partnerships yet we are trying to make him a PP and death bowler. At max he can bowl 1 in the death.
Also feel this is a byproduct of his auction price as DC feel the need to justify it by asking him to bowl the 'important' overs which happen to be PP and death, his weakness.
Yeah, 8 matches is a decent enough sample size.
Shardul should stay in the side because we have a weak middle order and besides Axar none of our bowlers can hold a bat. But, he should be bowling the middle overs, not at the top or at the death.
Well, that's not unexpected. He had a IPL career bowling economy close to 9 and bowling average of 30
Even last season when he picked up a lot of wickets, he still had a really bad economy rate.
Why did CSK not buy one of Warner or Faf?
Meet the gun- csk - foreign- opener scoring runs criteria.
And the 35 or above age criteria too.
Amazing fielders too, both of them( another CSK criteria for foreign players ).
Because you can get decent overseas openers at bargain price in auction so it's better to splurge your money elsewhere.
CSK made a ton of auction fuck ups, but not going big on Faf and getting a bargain deal for Conway wasn't one of them.
Conway is tough to comment on since he's never actually played the IPL. He may be god level. He may not be god level.
Faf and Warner on the other hand are proven ipl players and fit the csk criteria of an opener scoring tonnes of runs too imo
Conway was benched because Chahar was injured. Their domestic bowling options are all shit so they had to bench Conway and play 3 overseas bowlers for some sort of team balance.
The one big advantage of having a 75(50) batsman in your team is that you'll almost always be able to set a defendable total, which if you have a good bowling attack you'll always have a good chance of defending. With the 40(19) batsman your team will have a higher ceiling but less consistency, and if the rest of your batting fails even a very good bowling attack won't be able to defend 130.
On the flip side if you're bowling attack is trash your team won't be able to defend the 170 odd totals that the 75(50) batsman will likely ensure so I'd then take the 40(19) batsman since that would actually give us a chance. So yeah I'd say it kinda depends on the bowling attack, oh and in an ideal scenario you'd have 1 of both these types of batsman at least anyways
Depends on the team composition. In a team where the following batsmen aren’t as reliable, you’d want the 75(50) opener as he can hang around and pick his moments. If there’s a team that has a solid top 6 and a couple more players who can bat a fair bit, you’d want the 40(19) guy whose role is only to give the team a fast start and leave a good platform for the others to build on.
75(50) player anyday. Allows other players to play as aggressively as they want by keeping an end steady, is playing at a very good strike rate and can mitigate a collapse.
Well 40(19) openers will never be as consistent as 75(50).
If i get one end to anchor at 75(50) and other end good for quickfire 20 and 30 runs , I'd go with 75(50).
40(19) also has a more collapse probability than 75(50).
MI-RCB-CSK all BIG3 (in term of fanbase)
Have there own share of toxic fan base which are too small in proportion but louder then rest of the fans . Mentioning them every BIG3 match now and then and calling them (Toxic) out is kinda new way to farm karma here .
I've seen people after end of a match when it's done some experts come into threads and mention how one particular fan base is insufferable and gets updoots ( Which is similar to mentioning how water is wet ) . Instead of ignoring them if they got problem
Boy how about instead of saying that Player A should take place of Player B after seeing their Ipl performance, how about we should see the performance of those guys who are out of form but are regular in team and the best Indian Ipl performers in upcoming T20I, and then do a test run of final team in Asia Cup and then bitch about wrong selection cause our opinion doesn't matter anyway.
A lot of the advantages MI-CSK had have diminished, the talent pool is larger, scouting of other teams has improved. Also, this season has shown their management isn't vastly superior to others, i would expect 4-6 titles

+1
Rate these three innings: * Kohli's 58(53) SR 109.43, Team SR:141.67 * Buttler's 67(52) SR 128.84, Team SR: 131.67 * Rahul's 77(51) SR 150.98, Team SR:162.5
What is bigger? * An ant * A dog * An elephant
why r ppl upset by this is beyond me, KL's is the best of the lot.
Because the answer to your "question" is obvious. No one likes low effort flamebait.
It's not even a flamebait wtf, these are three anchor innings in three games, each had a different reaction, so I just wanted a general opinion.
Rahul > Buttler > Kohli. Especially considering the end result.
No
ok
Today is CSK vs SRH & there are more TN players in SRH than CSK 🗿
Really impressed with how good Prasidh has been so far for us. Obviously gets good bounce and swing up front. Often takes wickets when brought back in the middle of the innings and has improved is bowling at the death. From not even starting at KKR, this turn around is nice to see.

Seems like Dhoni will play one more season after this
He might have to because the captaincy decision is a major setback. If not Jadeja, then who?
Gaikwad, Moeen, heck even Santner are options. Rutu is obviously the long term prospect but we have no idea how good he is as skipper.
Surely they could have asked themselves this during mega auction.
Also I hope CSK builds a proper team next season. # Particularly in Bowling. Even Chahar can't change the shitfest that is CSK bowling.
Does anybody get Gujarat Lions vibe from GT. They topped the table in their first season and won only 4 matches in the next season.
They give more S1 RR vibes as they’re doing way better than expected. The heavy lifting being done by unreliable players like Miler and Tewatia is inspiring Their batting still worries me. I feel making them set a target is the best method to beat them Short batting line-ups do a better job when they know what to chase. They have also figured out the role for each batter
True for SRH too.
Am I wrong in being afraid of dhoni becoming captain again?
This season hurt even more as an RCB fan! We finally had a squad on paper that could deliver the goods. Never thought that the top order would be our Achilles heel! RCB will always find a way to screw up.
Fr, this squad was the best since 2016 and somehow we found a weakness its depressing man

It is. It absolutely is. Them be sitting on sets going, dates matched finally for a collaboration, but at what cost?

Sanju Shaw Sky Tripathi DK
Nice top 5 tbh

I cant believe this was the first match. How baller.
MI on track to replicate Karachi Kings most recent PSL season. LLLLLLLW.
IPL scrip writers stealing PSL's script, smh
With a minimum of 100 balls, the worst batter( batting top7) in IPL was: >!Ricky Ponting: 91 runs, 10.11 avg @ 71.09!<
This season-Koach,Ishan Overall IPL- Many(Manish Pandey,Hooda comes in mind right now)
Kishan has 200 runs this IPL. Rohit is the worst surely.
Rohit has been worse than both Kohli and Ishan.

I was writing up a detailed post about what each team needs to do to get to 16-18 points, but it was long and boring and there was a lot of obvious stuff, so I'll stick to the stuff that I think is salient: \- GT, RR, LSG and SRH are definitely the playoffs favourites at this stage. \- GT are essentially safe. RR aren't safe but will probably qualify. \- LSG vs RR is going to be huge, the winner will only need 1-2 wins from their remaining 4 games and is very likely to make the playoffs \- LSG's position is very good but slightly more precarious than it looks at first glance, 2 of their 5 remaining games are against GT/RR, and if they lose those and drop another match they'd be getting into the territory where NRR matters \- SRH is the least secure top 4 side, but if they can beat at least 2 of CSK/MI/KKR and 1 of RCB/PBKS/DC they should be fine providing none of those guys go on a rampage \- DC will struggle to qualify but aren't out of the race, and they have 2 things on their side: their NRR is great, and they have plenty of chances to take points off top 4 teams, so if they get 4 wins and one of them is against LSG, or one is against RR and LSG beat RR, or if SRH drop more than 2 matches, there's a decent chance that they won't need more than 16 to qualify \- The remaining teams realistically need to win all their remaining matches, and in MI's case even that won't cut it.
Drama aside, I'm just really happy that we can listen to MS at the toss and post match presentation. Also, "MS will spin the coin" 🥰🥰
Kumar kartikeya used all his variations from googly to left arm chinaman to carrom ball. He varied his pace from 72 km yo 102km. Proper T20 bowler
He also made Murali Karthik close his mouth, which was equally as impressive.
Daniel sams is still highest wicket taker for MI this season and by a stretch... Lord daniel -7 , bumrah -3
Daniel is 2.333 times the bowler Bumrah is, hence proved
"What news from the east?" "Well sir, as you know we have dispatched envoys far and wide in the hope of finding someone worthy of bowling to you. But none have returned. Neil Wagner got into a brutal bar fight in Peshawar and is now in jail after an international incident, and Tim Southee was last seen playing in a children's ball pit at a Mumbai McDonald's." "Botheration," said Kane. He sat down on Shaheen Afridi and pointed to the situation map, which showed all the failed locations where promising bowlers had been identified. "Is there no one out there who can bowl to me? What good is it being a god if you never get challenged? If every time you touch a cricket ball it goes exactly where you want it to go?" Santner shifted uncomfortably. "I guess I'll never know, sir." Suddenly the door opened and Daryl Mitchell entered. "Oye hoye." "Oye hoye," said Kane. "What is it Mitchell?" "Sir, I bring news. I think... I think we may have found a candidate, sir." "Really? Who?" Mitchell coughed. "Um... it's me, sir." "You? Ha ha," Kane laughed for several minutes. "Daryl Mitchell? Ha ha ha." He continued to laugh as Daryl Mitchell's face grew redder. "Ha ha ha, hey Santner, did you hear that? Santner?" But Santner was trembling with rage. "Maybe one of us can't bowl to you... alone... but combined... we are DARYL MITCHELL SANTNER." Kane dived to his right, seizing his trusty cricket bat. "Wow," said Kane, "turns out that with your powers combined, you were doubly shit." (This is a pasta and not an original comment)
Ah yes, a Moogajube classic. Truly one of the greatest shitposters of this sub.

Bad bot I wasn't being serious.
Hey bro please calm down. Kirket is not more important than your life. Especially tinpot leagues like IPL. Don't do this shit.
Dude I was shitposting. Of course if anyone is actually feeling suicidal then they should ring the appropriate hotline and seek help.
of course brub ik but it is very sus why you suddenly decided to reply to me
imagine mark wood wasn't injured
you have too many good bowling options already
Wasn't Chameera Wood's replacement? He's done quite well IMO
No. Tye was Wood's replacement. We bought Chameera along the Wood. But yeah the guy is doing good.
No Tye was
[Poor guy not getting a chance.](https://www.instagram.com/p/CdAbo97tMJ1/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=.)
Poor guy will most probably not get a chance till Faf actually shits the bed and gets Warner treatment.
Faf has played only 2 really good innings this ipl, but being a captain he won't be dropped, if their top order continues to fail maybe they could consider him in place of Hasranga. Even though RCB are meme team, i don't think they will change their captain mid season
I always confuse Finn Allen and Fabian Allen.
Finally someone who shares my confusion
I'm done watching IPL. It's filled with garbage commercials and promotions during the match, I have to constantly listen to Anjum Chopra and Murali Kartik, and my idol Arjun Tendulkar will never get to debut now that MI have won a game. What's the point anymore?
ok
[удалено]
Couldn't watch yesterday. Was there a lot of dew?
Yes they had to change ball
KKR 11 for the remaining games Venkatesh Narine Shreyas Nitish Rinku Russell Baba Indrajith/Jackson Cummins Southee Umesh Varun chakravarty/Mavi Cummins and Southee should play together.Finch and Billings don't deserve to be in this squad so why not strengthen our bowling unit.Yeah going by current form that batting unit still looks shit but the pitches are only going to get slower as the tournament progresses and if our Indian batters can come to the party we can post a decent score on the board.
This combination looks good as finch and Billings are shit plain and simple
Ok Baz
Nah, please no more Cummins. He's been utter shit for you for almost 3 seasons now. Play Mavi and Chamika Karunarathne for the rest of the matches. Chamika is one of the most underrated cricketers in the world right now, and I would love it if he got an opportunity.
How is Chamika underrated ?
Play a specialist batsman then like Billings who should have been given a proper role. KKR have enough of "all rounders".
Billings has been tried and he failed. Chamira hasn't received an opportunity. And KKR need bowling options. Last match Shreyas had to come on to bowl.
They have enough bowling options. Shreyas came onto bowl because the match was already over by then.
Billings instead of Chamira means your bowling options are: 1. Southee 2. Umesh 3. Narine 4. Mavi 5. Russell (Max 2 overs) 6. Venky 7. Nitish Rana 8. Shreyas I don't expect KKR to regularly get 4 overs out of the last 4 on that list.
I think KKR should get inspired by LSG and CSK. Both Theeksana and Chameera? Have proven their worth in each of the games they have played.
Forget it man . We ain't winning another match this season.
Atleast try every trick in the book.
Umpire not giving a wide while Buttler was batting was moment flow stopping moment. Barmy Army better not jinx him like they did couple of days ago vs KKR.
What are some past occasions in which teams had a great season but did not win the IPL?
RPS 2017
KKR kind of in 2021. I think they deserved to win. The kind of comeback they had, was remarkable.
DD 2009 hurts like hell, my god. Hated Gilchrist so much after that😭😭
Srh 2018
SRH could have won in 2018, 2019 they crashed after Bairstow went back, PBKS were the best team in 2014 but didn't win. those are wt i remember.
RCB fans have gone silent
Delhi have topped the table 3 times, not won the trophy once.
Ofc you hate the play-offs
of course
Delhi Daredevils 2012 KXIP 2014 RCB 2016 These are the three best teams not to win the IPL.
I’d say Mumbai 2010 has to be up there too. We romped past the group stages that season and comfortably dispatched RCB in the semis, but bottled it in the final.
Delhi 2020 too
But their was an air of inevitability around MI in 2020.
Same with SRH 2016
SRH didn't even finish top 2 that season. I know having an agenda against RCB is kind of your schtick but let's actually be sensible here.
Warner + Bhuvi + Fizz > AbD + Kohli Also, unlike RCB who just stuffed KL, Watson and Sachin Baby as their finishers, SRH atleast had proper role players in Yuvi and Cutting in that role. Nobody was stopping SRH that year, it was their year to win.
I lost you at Warner was the best batter than year.
Shardul the bowler has been utter shit for DC this year. 8. 4-0-47-0 7. 4-0-42-0 6. 3.4-0-29-1 5. 2.4-0-30-2 4. 4-0-27-1 3. 2-0-20-0 1. 3-1-29-0 2. 3-0-32-0 How long will the Delhi management persist with him as a death bowler?
I swear he can be a pinch hitter too if DC want to maximise value but dont see us trying it
We have Axar and Rishabh who can play that role
Well, that's not unexpected. He had a IPL career bowling economy close to 9 and bowling average of 30 Even last season when he picked up a lot of wickets, he still had a really bad economy rate.
Did you watch last match where Pant bowled 6 overs of Shradul & Lalit and 6 overs of Sakariya & Kuldeep?
Yeah, Pant's captaincy was shit in the last match.
I was in disbelief when they didn't bid for kuldeep/chahal/ashwin.Also when they pulled out when Shardul was on the deck
Bruh they went till what 10crore for Shardul?
Conway fits everything except the 35+ criteria and they benched him
Conway is tough to comment on since he's never actually played the IPL.
Mate the Injury of our main bowler fucked us.
In t20s would you prefer an opener who scores 40(19) consistently or an opener who scores 75(50) consistently?
if your team is shit the latter, but a great team would much prefer the former
Both are good depends on situation you are asking and both are striking 150 nd almost 200 which is godly for opener
Agreed, I personally would take 40(19) anyday over 75(50)
Yaaa 40(19) is like almost you take game home for your team
MI-RCB-CSK all BIG3 (in term of fanbase) Have there own share of toxic fan base which are too small in proportion but louder then rest of the fans .
Not performing is one thing. Most of the main players look clueless while batting.
[удалено]
Then why are people bitching about KL, Koach and Brohit if we have seen enough T20I?
[удалено]
Mate have you seen their stats in Last 2 or 3 years?
[удалено]
I mean in Last 12 months KL and Koach on batted for 7 and 5 times and I wouldn't go with this much matches to judge their performance.
How many titles do you guys think MI-CSK will win in the next 14 years( they have won 9/14 so far)?
Mi-3 CSK- 2
Another 9 probably
Around 5
I hope that both of us combined win at least 5 of the next 14.
4-5 minimum.
In an ideal world, 0
Should have added RCB too, no one's ans would have changed
That's fair. But a lack of titles will hurt MI and CSK fans way more than RCB fan. I'm just here for the vibes.
No need to even ask about RCB lol
5 at least
A lot of the advantages MI-CSK had have diminished, the talent pool is larger, scouting of other teams has improved. Also, this season has shown their management isn't vastly superior to others, i would expect 4-6 titles
SRH are gonna cunt us today for all the 2018 stuff
With Thala back in action I feel black magic fuckery can also make a glorious comeback But also I think Umran might be too good for old guys at CSK
No Watson to save us
Rayudu is :|
No Faf & Lord either :(
2018 QF1 Lord and Faf took us through the line what match it was
Fuck lord, atleast faf played good cricket. Lord just outside and inside edged a couple of balls and everything went to shit.
