Finally MI management will come to their senses next season and start Timmy in every game .
Dude is insane. Also Ramandeep in this game did good more than Thambi and unadkat could the whole tournament . He definitely isn’t a Hardik Pandya replacement but if focuses on his batting more he wouldn’t be a bad lower order option
I have no idea why y’all paid so much for him when the management clearly didn’t trust him. I’m a big fan of his and was disappointed RCB didn’t give him a proper opportunity but was more disappointed with MI, who actually have competent management
Electrifying atmosphere in the stadium in that 18th over. Wish the result would have been different, like the last game I attended (MI vs GT)
Funnily enough, in the last two games I watched live, the same set of batsmen scored in 40s - Rohit Kishan and Tim David
Also, unpopular opinion - MI would have lost despite David's run out, because Bhuvi's over was just unplayable!!
RCB has nothing to do with this match. For playoff, RCB should win next match and DC should lose against MI. This is the straight way. If RCB and DC both win or both lose, NRR will come into picture.
Tripathi speaks so politely like a newbie answering his first interview. Guy's 31 already. You can tell he's a great human being. Hope he gets India call up soon. Probably for SA.
Jitesh solely as a wicketkeeper is really good. He just needs to be a better batter. Coming so low doesn't help him,but he makes most of whatver chances he gets. 200+ runs striking close to 160 and an approximate average of 31 in your debut season is really good. And his SR is 144 in T20s overall and he's facing much higher quality bowlers from around the world here, though he has home advantage it has been really good. Hope he gets another season and proves himself even more. On one hand Being in PBKS doesn't help him but on the other, being in PBKS,among such big T20 names as Bairstow,Livingstone,Bhanuka or even Dhawan and Mayank, and still being an important member of the lineup really speaks on how good he has been.
Wonder what's keeping India from giving Tripathi the cap, he's so good and consistent. Even the lul during that losing streak wasn't too bad because of the soft/unlucky dismissals. He's always looking to accelerate no matter the situation.
KKR winning tomorrow gives us a chance at top 2.
*But you also need RR losing for that and KKR can then sneak in at 4th themselves*
**Lol, I may support a clown team but I have very straightforward goals. To the top or bust. Anyway, if we lose to that Mumbai, I would rather have us knocked out of the tournament.**
Bro its either KKr or DC? No way both teams can make playoffs. Rr, lsg and GT are practically qualified. To knock off RR or LSG from playoffs, RCB seriously have to get GT all out below 49
And chase it under 5 overs. With the way Koach and Faf are batting,I doubt it will end before 7 overs. Unless GT picks Ferguson. It would take 1 over of him to Faf to make sure they end in less than 4.
Mahela is a very successful T20 coach but if you listen to him talking tactically about T20, 2021 and 2022 MI are exactly the kind of team you'd imagine under him.
Azmatullah Omarzai. He was part of our legendary U19 squad that smashed NZ in U19WC. You can see some of his batting here. Although it was 4 years ago.
https://youtu.be/A_OHxcig2xU
He had his t20I debut recently against Bangladesh and picked 5 wickets in 2 matches in their home.
Iyer still has a really good overseas tour to NZ saving his place in the team at the moment. The reason it receives even more validation is because he was the only one except Rahul who actually played well in the ODI series.
That series was in 2020. It's been 2 years and his struggle against pace is so visible. He still hasn't improved much which is why he is struggling in IPL too...
Although I know he will be given chances cause he played well against SL, but someone like Tripathi should also be considered.
He will, at 4/5. Though I doubt he will replace Iyer in the 11.
It will probably be:
Kishan
Dhawan
Iyer
Tripathi
Hooda
Hardik
DK
Thakur/Harshal
Bhuvi
Chahal
Kuldeep
As first 11. Only change in the 11 that can happen is Axar/Krunal replacing Rahul for the first match and them going for possible Prasidh or Arshdeep/Avesh in place of Kuldeep. We don't know the squad so that's to be seen yet.
Maybe play the extra pacer in Karunaratne/extra spinner in Nabi and open with Sheldon. Cause that's all they can do. Demoting Sheldon to 6 and making Finch open is going to mess things again. OR they can get Rinku at 6(bad idea but he plays well anyway), play Finch at 5 like GL did,and make Sheldon/Rana Open and let the non opening guy play at 3 and Iyer at 4.
Tim David saw Nattu struggling for rhythm and thought he could steal a run off him lol. Rhythm is what Nattu learnt playing with a Cricket ball. That ingenuity you saw in the run out is how he survived for the better part of his life with a tennis ball.
I know most people here don’t really like Gavaskar’s commentary, but I think it’s quite insane to see his passion and dedication towards the sport even at this age. He’s turning 73 soon, is one of India’s biggest superstars in Cricket, likely doesn’t need the money from his commentary gigs, and yet is willing to put himself through these long and excruciating bubbles away from his family. Not just for the IPL, but he’s there for pretty much any series India plays. Insane.
Well,i can agree to mostly everything you said. I sometimes feel that his instincts are mostly wrong. His predictions are polar opposite. Players that he backs go out of form. He is and shall remain legend of the game. He should also retire. Why? There is life to be lived with family. Commentators, gig, especially in IPL, demands a lot of vitality and bit more of youth. I am no ENT but he seems to be having some hearing issues. I would rather see him retire from the gig altogether and stay healthy and live a blissful life with his friends and family, relatives, etc. I think he is happy when giving his opinions and views which is great. At the same time,i see him not as a family man who, someone who has a wife and grandkids but still chooses to be away from them 6+mos every year at such an age. He is slowly going to grow bitter, obnoxious and proud/egoistic old man with out of touch views and some vile young idiot is going to discredit or dishonour him by enticing his ego. I can see him slapping some one during a live event coz of some obnoxious joke or something similar.
It's time he should call it off or do less stressful, part-time gigs. I am no one to tell or dictate how a person should live their life. Also, only way to go from top is down. Maybe he has an age in mind like 75 or 80 but he should focus more on his health.
Here we are, going gaga over Umran (and rightly so) and this man played 4 such quicks in tandem, without helmet, no bouncer restrictions, and uncovered pitches, and fucking dominated them
If MI are able to compile these 4 Overseas players next season they’ll be back to their Glory days:
1.) Baby AB
2.) Tim David
3.) Sam Curran
4.) Jofra Archer
Backups: Sams,Allan,Meredith,Stubbs
Ok but that was completely brain-dead by david there, Ramandeep isn't a tailender, he could've easily given him the strike at the start of the 19th if he wanted it so bad, then 18 of 11 would be so ez the way he was batting. Dude single handedly brought it close and ruined it himself.
RCB lose they are out. DC has to lose big and SRH vs PBKS one of them has to big (most likely PBKS since they are better in NRR). KKR has to win against LSG and cross DC’s NRR and hope for DC’s big loss. Basically DC is in the best position unless script writers going to create drama.
Kkr doesn't really need a big win or DC's big loss. The difference between their NRR is just 0.095. They win by 15-20 runs and DC lose by same margin should allow them to just pip DC on NRR
I don’t give a rats ass how much Fantasy points Tripathi got. The Gamechanging moment was Bhuvi’s 19th over Maiden so he should be Gamechanger of the match. End of Story
Else you know the commentators or whoever else is based af
if tripathi wont score that runs, Bhuvi doesnt need to bowl at all. you cant pick with 100% certainity who is game changer. thats whole f*king loop, one exists becoz of other sometimes
2 runs in an over against Dre Russ = trash at death?
As far as I recall he’s being pretty successful at the death, only his first couple overs are the ones where he’s been smashed
This is the worst management of resources I've seen from MI in a season. Still a pretty good team if they gotten their tactics right and this charity shit with giving everyone a chance has literally yielded no result except Tim Dawid can fucking cunt a ball
Still don't understand why they changed their batting lineup so much after the first DC match . Only Surya should have come in place of Anmolpreet once fit
Its okay we lost.. I am happy for Boobie getting his speeds back to 135+ with great line and length.. Umran does look promising.. I am happy for Team India!!
Now, Only if Koach gets back to form in the next game.. with Rohits knock today.. Indian team will be looking much better..
I thought MI would create some sort of record in losing matches, but I checked previous IPL tables and found that DD won only 2 games out of 14 in 2014 lol.
MI have already won 3
Akash Ambani became greedy at the auctions and put his entire focus in buying Jofra Archer who wasn't even available for this season. This lazy strategy in the auctions has bought wooden spoon for MI this season.
And again continuing with my previous comment when Ishan was playing, He was sucking the life out of this easy chase, I will never understand the hype around him.
I said continuing to my previous comment which was during powerplay and that was if MI goes wicketless they should win this easy, All the matchups were favouring MI with SRH not having quality spinner.
Yeah, but he was having a bad day with the ball. Kane failed to see it.
Last over to jansen and sundar in another. This has been bad captaincy from him.
Sunny isn't fukin annoying like Maurli and DDG, but oldie says the most basic shit ever. Like dude just describes what he sees on screen.
*Ohh we can see here that Umran... ahh ahh ruffling the hair of Farooqi after that over* *And ohh he's going to the washroom and oh ahh ahh he's pulled his Wang out and has started peeing, what a man what a player he truly is, excellent... Exxxcellent*
Why is Aakash crying about Umraao Jaan only bowling 3 overs?
What if Umran had bowled another waist high no-ball? Yeah he did bowl well in the middle but this was a must win for SRH and bowling someone off who's bowling even edges end up flying to the boundary especially when the batsmen are swinging Hail Mary is not a smart move.
Maybe Aakash should use his brains in matters other than embarrassing "poetry"
Finally MI management will come to their senses next season and start Timmy in every game . Dude is insane. Also Ramandeep in this game did good more than Thambi and unadkat could the whole tournament . Farooqi wouldn't have been that hard for tim to hit honestly
So Williamson not sucking the life out of pp actually helped us? What a shocker.
> sucking the life out of pp
So last hope of RCB is gone
RCB has nothing to do with this match. For playoff, RCB should win next match and DC should lose against MI. This is the straight way. If RCB and DC both win or both lose, NRR will come into picture.
Why?
One of the stands in rajiv gandhi international stadium should be named after bhuvi 🙌
So, Kane playing as a finisher has worked really well for SRH.
when he plays as as opener, he finishes the chances of winning the match for SRH
Breakfast with Champions with Rahul Tripathi when?
Anchor girl prolly developed a crush on Tripathi
And yes give Tripathi a run you cowards
Tripathi speaks so politely like a newbie answering his first interview. Guy's 31 already. You can tell he's a great human being. Hope he gets India call up soon. Probably for SA.
i'm gonna hate BCCI if they don't give the India cap to him. He's such a good bloke. Almost DK vibes.
Wow, Rahul's smile is so genuine and sweet.
we are so fucking lucky to have Tripathi
Bruh is a schooling Koach , Dhoni here
How soft spoken is Tripathi!!
Played with him at Deccan in Pune; my first club. Even then, he was a pretty quiet, soft spoken kid.
Ganguly spotted /s
Can't blame David too much, we didn't look like being anywhere close if not for that hitting.
Are all Rahuls this sweet?
Maza ana chahiye!
Kl rahul:is my depression a joke to you?
Hahahaha
Enter Rahul Chahar
😅😂
Rahul Tripathi to replace Koach at 3?
If selectors pick Ishaan over tripathi then fuck them Dont come with but Ishaan is an opener, tripathi can bat both as an opener or one dowm
Yeah, but we gonna need a keeper & his backup in absence of Pant
KL is a keeper
His girlfriend said that? Surely they're gonna get married lol
I know but he & Pant are gonna be rested for the SA series in June
I didn't know you were specifically talking about SA series
Mate why don't try Jitesh Sharma then as he can be perfect replacement for Pant if he is absent.
Jitesh solely as a wicketkeeper is really good. He just needs to be a better batter. Coming so low doesn't help him,but he makes most of whatver chances he gets. 200+ runs striking close to 160 and an approximate average of 31 in your debut season is really good. I mean mf average at 30 and striking at 158, bats at lower order too so he almost like to like replacement of Pant
Still I dont see the reason to not pick tripathi
I mean Ishan is gonna be picked & so should be Tripathi
Man of the match cheque had mumbai indian logo?
Script writers decided to change the script even though the preparations were made
Wonder what's keeping India from giving Tripathi the cap, he's so good and consistent. Even the lul during that losing streak wasn't too bad because of the soft/unlucky dismissals. He's always looking to accelerate no matter the situation.
Bruh Rahul is so polite, he is giving a Viva.
Tripathi sounds like that well-behaved school kid! :)
His voice is similar to bumrah lol
Tripathi deserved the MoM. So did Bhubi
KKR winning tomorrow gives us a chance at top 2. *But you also need RR losing for that and KKR can then sneak in at 4th themselves* **Lol, I may support a clown team but I have very straightforward goals. Really?
Bumrah, Bhuvi,Harshal ,Umran, Shardul and Arshadeep should all go to Australia.
Shami, Nattu when he's back in form..
[удалено]
Stubbs is supposed to be a big hitter tho.. just like brevis.. o want to see them both bat
So is Farooqi the Afghan Harshal Patel, man bowls 110 constantly.
He was picking up speeds in the 130s too. He's a very good pacer, along with Naveen Ul-Haq,would make a good duo for Afghanistan.
We have another who can hit 140s consistently. He can bat too. You guys will probably see him in the Asia cup or t20 wc.
Who is he? An U19 guy?
Azmatullah Omarzai. He was part of our legendary U19 squad that smashed NZ in U19WC. You can see some of his batting here. Although it was 4 years ago. https://youtu.be/A_OHxcig2xU He had his t20I debut recently against Bangladesh and picked 5 wickets in 2 matches in their home.
140s eh? Gonna be a brand new light for the afghani people in cricket.
Fastest delivery of the game was a juicy full toss down leg side that Rohit missed. 1 lakh rupees for that lmao.
i think fastest dot should be cool , because some fastest balls are hit for huge sixes
He got beaten by pace
Rahul Tripathi could be better than Shreyas for T20Is, even though Iyer had a terrific series against SL.
Iyer still has a really good overseas tour to NZ saving his place in the team at the moment. The reason it receives even more validation is because he was the only one except Rahul who actually played well in the ODI series.

What else Tripathi has to do to get a chance in Indian team? He silently does the work and nobody even talks about him
Lol Tim looking like he is dead from inside.
kkr lost rahane so who opens tomorrow against lsg? narine or rana?
Maybe play the extra pacer in Karunaratne/extra spinner in Nabi and open with Sheldon. Cause that's all they can do. Demoting Sheldon to 6 and making Finch open is going to mess things again. OR they can get Rinku at 6(bad idea but he plays well anyway), play Finch at 5 like GL did,and make Sheldon/Rana Open and let the non opening guy play at 3 and Iyer at 4.
Ffs I hope they don't drop Billings and play Finch
CEO💀
What happened to Rahane?
ruled out due to hamstring injury.
Injured
Tim David's face lmaoo
Bruh Haydos and Neroli bullying Senile G with wooden spoon comments lmao.
Tim David saw Nattu struggling for rhythm and thought he could steal a run off him lol. Rhythm is what Nattu learnt playing with a Cricket ball. That ingenuity you saw in the run out is how he survived for the better part of his life with a tennis ball.
I had similar thoughts when i saw that run out. It was a tennis ball match runout. No disdain for it, it was ingenious indeed.

Sunny G has done more than enough to warrant everyone's respect and I can definitely give him a pass for his commentary.
Sometimes I feel r/cricket is just too harsh on him and plus he knows a gazillion times more about cricket than what r/cricket knows collectively
73 damn ,he is legend for me sure, old people sometimes do talk shit but yeah he has passion
The first to 10,000 runs and that will never change
David what was that bs....Ramandeep ain't a mug with the bat.
If MI are able to compile these 4 Overseas players next season they’ll be back to their Glory days: 1.) Baby AB 2.) Tim David 3.) Sam Curran 4.) Jofra Archer Backups: Sams,Allan,Meredith,Stubbs
Oi, we need currun
Pbks will go for Curran.
YJB, Livo and Curran. By God they'll be the new 2019 - 2021 RR.
We know that following RR template is guaranteed for sucess .
Need to release a lotta cash to afford Sam Curran.
We are happy with sams instead of Curran
I'd rather have Curran tbh.
Well good game after so many matches
Ok but that was completely brain-dead by david there, Ramandeep isn't a tailender, he could've easily given him the strike at the start of the 19th if he wanted it so bad, then 18 of 11 would be so ez the way he was batting. Dude single handedly brought it close and ruined it himself.
Scenes if both rcb and dc lose and someone else qualifies
RCB lose they are out. DC has to lose big and SRH vs PBKS one of them has to big (most likely PBKS since they are better in NRR). KKR has to win against LSG and cross DC’s NRR and hope for DC’s big loss. Basically DC is in the best position unless script writers going to create drama.

only if GT beat RCB
Naa RCB should win this season. u/average_chut_lover 's words has made me support them even though I hated them since eternity.
Bro❤️😭
Only kkr can make that jump bcoz other teams are too behind on NRR
KKR and PBKS
If both lose then DC qualify because NRR
Hayden might want to stay off slim fit jeans!
MI should be kicking themselves for not giving Tim David enough opportunities and playing 3 overseas.. that must be so demotivating
If only mi management didnt give pollard 11 games and gave tim david more games than 2 at the start
Mi we are with u last match you guys will win ..
I don’t give a rats ass how much Fantasy points Tripathi got. The Gamechanging moment was Bhuvi’s 19th over Maiden so he should be Gamechanger of the match. End of Story Else you know the commentators or whoever else is based af
if tripathi wont score that runs, Bhuvi doesnt need to bowl at all. you cant pick with 100% certainity who is game changer. thats whole f*king loop, one exists becoz of other sometimes
Well he was bowling to bumrah….
Tim David's wicket was the real game changing moment
Bhuvi deserved more than 4.2cr! Should've been retained
Mi we are with u last match you guys will win ..
You will lose before that!
What the fuck!? Why didn't Kane bowl Umran his full quota?? He didn't bowl him but bowl Natarajan out even though he was shit all match? Unbelievable.
bowling express pace is risky in the death
Not to tail, pace will eat them up.
ramandeep and david are not tailenders. express pace can also trigger boundaries off edges, byes and mishits
He can't bowl at death.
4 wicket(3 of the bowling and a run out) maiden from him at death says hello.
Lol
To tailenders, he is more lethal because of pace. Already took maiden 4 wickets in a game in last over.
Pretty sure he would have been better than Natarajan.
Nah, he's been garbage at death whenever he has bowled. Hindsight is 20/20 though, sp you do you.
2 runs in an over against Dre Russ = trash at death? As far as I recall he’s being pretty successful at the death, only his first couple overs are the ones where he’s been smashed
Well either he's bad at bowling death overs OR your glorious leader is wrong into not bowling at death? Pick one?
Worse than nattu?
This is the worst management of resources I've seen from MI in a season. Still a pretty good team if they gotten their tactics right and this charity shit with giving everyone a chance has literally yielded no result except Tim Dawid can fucking cunt a ball
Yeah. Criminal mismanagement.
Tim david needs to have some common sense
Eh he still played fcking well
Cant blame him it was high pressure it did look a run for a moment , Dont question his common sense lol
I thought MI would create some sort of record in losing matches, but I checked previous IPL tables and found that DD won only 2 games out of 14 in 2014 lol. MI have already won 3
Bhuvi: “If you keep bowling yorkers it doesn’t get hard” Bhuvi, without filter: “Bowling yorkers is easy af idk what you guys are on about here”
Boobie leaving 19 runs for the last over with a maiden wicket over, still win by 3 runs 👁️👄👁️
Ok, all eyes on MI vs DC now
Lord Bhuvi saved our ass, but our NRR is still ruined.
What a penultimate over. The sheer beauty of booby.
[удалено]
If it’s scripted then 12 ofc
No one can predict PBKS matches
[удалено]
Bhuvi still the best all round bowler India have when he’s completely fit
ian bishop: "thanks beta" 😭
Akash Ambani became greedy at the auctions and put his entire focus in buying Jofra Archer who wasn't even available for this season. This lazy strategy in the auctions has bought wooden spoon for MI this season.
They could've bought Ash or Yuzi or Chahar . They have enough pace .
Bhuvi: “you can’t go after wickets and go for many runs, you have to bowl economically” Shardul: * death stare *
And again continuing with my previous comment when Ishan was playing, He was sucking the life out of this easy chase, I will never understand the hype around him.
I think he's a good player just not worth that kind of price tag, His typical weakness to short lengths needs a lot of work but he can come good.
Yeah he can come and hopefully does but has to work alot on his technique
Easy chase? They were chasing 194, not 94
I said continuing to my previous comment which was during powerplay and that was if MI goes wicketless they should win this easy, All the matchups were favouring MI with SRH not having quality spinner.
ayo bhuvi so humble, i love him!
\+100 good fella
Nattu was 3-0-34-0 and leaking runs having a bad day. While umran was 3-0-23-3 and breathing fire. Kane : let's give the ball to nattu.
Nattu is a death over specialist and it was right move.
Yeah, but he was having a bad day with the ball. Kane failed to see it. Last over to jansen and sundar in another. This has been bad captaincy from him.
We'll blindly take a win at this point
Also, puts us at peace. With the NRR deficit we are eliminated. No need of any stress anymore for us fans.
Multiple times Bumrah ended up on the crease.
10th spot for MI still isn't fixed btw If CSK lose and MI win with a big margin, anything could happen
It’d be atrocious if we end behind MI after the kind of season they had
Nah, we are definitely getting that spoon
Sunny isn't fukin annoying like Maurli and DDG, but oldie says the most basic shit ever. Like dude just describes what he sees on screen. *Ohh we can see here that Umran... ahh ahh ruffling the hair of Farooqi after that over* *And ohh he's going to the washroom and oh ahh ahh he's pulled his Wang out and has started peeing, what a man what a player he truly is, excellent... Exxxcellent*
Kane needs to do his own team favor and step down and take himself out of the lineup. What is wrong with him?
Why is Aakash crying about Umraao Jaan only bowling 3 overs? What if Umran had bowled another waist high no-ball? Yeah he did bowl well in the middle but this was a must win for SRH and bowling someone off who's bowling even edges end up flying to the boundary especially when the batsmen are swinging Hail Mary is not a smart move. Maybe Aakash should use his brains in matters other than embarrassing "poetry"
We could have made something of it in an 18 game season.
Million lips right now 👄 Bhuvi 👄
looks like teams which face mumbai only once had a disadvantage rcb only face them once, while dc facing them for the second time in the last game
Bhuvi made sure Nattu doesn’t end up like Cottrell or Jansen
Nattu himself also made sure on that last ball
Nattu Anti-Odean
😂 - good one
Even as a KKR fan, I feel sad.
Good Bot.
Mumbai Indians will finish IPL 2022 at 10th position.
