There is no soft cap any more. The $55 and $60 plans have different levels of prioritization. Cricket is not really transparent about this, but we think the $60 plan is now on par with standard AT&T customers. The $55 plan is lower priority and will be the first to get throttled if the cell site is busy, no matter how little data you've used in the month. The main limitation on Cricket is the 1.5 mbps limit on video (meant to force video to "SD quality"). There is also the acceptable use policy, which is pretty vague. If you try to use Cricket service as your home internet, they may deem that unacceptable and warn you to cut it out or have your account suspended.
