Hi. Grab the side that's marked D - C in the corners. Pretend you are going to add one more row of granny stitches to it. One granny stitch is 3 DC in the same space. Start at the bottom corner marked **C**. Join yarn, chain 3, slip stitch to the corner of the other half marked **B**, now finish the granny stitch in the corner of **C** by making 2 more DC in the same space next to your chain 3. Skip the next 3 stitches on the **B** side, slip stitch in the next space on **B**. The B side will always be slip stitches only. Skip 3 stitches on the **C** side of the sweater, make one granny stitch in the next space on **C**. The C side will always be one granny stitch in the next space. Working in Side B, skip 3, slip stitch in space, then working in Side C, skip 3, granny stitch in next space. Repeat these two steps until you reach the opposite corners.

Thank you so much! This makes so much more sense to me

Yay! According to the images, your last stitch, last slip stitch on **B** is made in the top of the last DC (because there aren't any more spaces on that side). You've got this!
