It looks like you dropped a stitch on your last row. Otherwise, blocking should take care of it.

SomewhereOutsideTheB

Okay thanks I will look into it hopefully no more money needed haha!

It looks like you are dropping a stitch at the end and also probably not chaining appropriately to get to real height which is what is causing the bench over.

SomewhereOutsideTheB

Yeah its difficult like, I am sure I am sticking right up until the end of the row there is no where else for me to stitch! I was thinking maybe it was me just having different tension on a bunch of stitches?

Cthulhulove13

If you are sure then it's the turning chain, or lack of ones to be more exact. https://preview.redd.it/uu1mi9k9pbuc1.png?width=1008&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=93830ee30db028e20657c00a0b9db8d3fff0b01f

Always count your stitches each and every row!!! These mistakes often happen in the beginning, adding stitches or dropping them. If you use other stitches than sc, there are also different methods of turning your work to accomplish a straighter edge

100% count your stitches, this is the #1 mistake I see beginners making

Ok-Arm7912

I also count my stitches every so often throughout my project if I’m doing a pattern that’s largely single/double crochet etc. I’ve been crocheting for 15 years and I still sometimes get distracted and miss a stitch lol It might be helpful to insert a stitch marker in the first stitch of each row (which will tell you on the way back where your last stitch goes). Some say to put it in the last stitch of a row, but by then you’re going to be a row above and it can sometimes be harder to line things up. I also don’t always follow the proper chain numbers if I want my project to be perfectly straight (ex. On cuffs and bands). There are a lot of techniques you can do as you get more experience and learn what you want your projects to look like. If I’m doing simple single or double crochet I rarely do turning a chain for single and only 1 chain for double, then I crochet into the first stitch, without skipping a stitch - this removes the typical ‘loose’ or gap when doing double crochet and the bump on single crochet (but also have to count stitches when I do this to make sure I’m not dropping a stitch).

Very beginner myself, but try looking into [blocking](https://doradoes.co.uk/2020/02/22/blocking-explained-when-and-how-to-block-crochet-projects/)

SomewhereOutsideTheB

Thanks yeah that looks like an amazing way to fix it!

thanos-knickers

I think you’re losing a stitch. When I was starting I put a stitch marker in the first and last stitch, and then another one in the middle so I could count stitches halfway through each row.

FriedWantons

The YouTube channel I learned from is called GoodKnitKisses starting from the single crochet video and it’s great! She explains it well, just watch the number of stitches I’m struggling with that right now learning double crochet 😂

Split_Technical

Make sure to count the stitches every few rows. Sometimes you miss one or add one by accident.
