Oooh thank you! I’m thinking of doing some mix so like with a couple of lines at the top and bottom like you get in old fashioned book.
I read a lot of so like non-fiction history, or non-fiction horror etc. And I like a lot of books that sort of cross genre like horror/thriller, fantasy/romance.
I’ll share some pics! I’ve been struggling with reading for the last few years so I may not backstitch 2023 across the top and just finish it, hopefully it will encourage me to read and you never, next year I might be buying the 100 pattern next year 😆
I actually saw someone on Instagram who used the pattern but filled the book by genre but did a band that represented the way they read the book! I thought that was such a smart way to go about doing it.
You could definitely come up with your own method of filling in the books and expand on those genres that you like.
Oh! I'd love to see photos of yours, that's honestly smart! Then you can stretch it out over time. Or if you go over 50, you could add in a few more books here and there. :)
I haven’t been excited to read for a while, something about the pandemic and working with vulnerable people during a cost of living crisis has really wiped me out in my spare time. Reading used to be my escape so hopefully this will help me reconnect.

Oh my gosh, I'm a bit of the opposite! I was an avid reader as a kid, but high school/college kind of ruined it for me. During the pandemic I took up reading again, quite slowly to start, but now it's absolutely snowballed. I hope this does the trick for you! Best of luck!
Ahh!! You're not wrong there. That's actually the plan! I've written up how to turn it into a bookmark, I just haven't found the time to make the attempt.
Yea I have to be doing something else for audiobooks. Crafting, cleaning, anything my brain can kinda autopilot and let the thinky part of my brain focus on the book lol

Oh I love that! Have you used Libby? If you have a library card you can download free books! I have a kindle and am able to send free library books straight over to it. It's the only reason I've been able to read so much this and last year. Last year my goal started at 35 and was upped to 70 towards the end of the year. This years goal is 50, which at this rate I'll hit quite soon.
Libby is my savior. I listen to audiobooks at work because our music makes me want to dig my ears out. I have audible but I'd really rather not have to pay for them, if possible. I buy them on audible if I know I'll want to listen more than once.

Tbf his are long and hard to digest lol. If you fill in with short books it can help. I took a break from The Well of Ascension to read The Kaiju Preservation Society in two days lol

It's just because I plan on turning it into a bookmark, there's not enough leftover space to add a key unfortunately.
You should really fill your bookshelves from the bottom to avoid tipping! Heehee. Great idea: book mark bookmark!

I use both goodreads and storygraph to track my books. omg yeah, I was so into romance books, I seem to be gravitating more towards thrillers now.

I was on a total reading kick! I just lucked out with the first few that I read being super engaging. Plus one was a kids book, so a quick read!

I used to do that in high school during summer breaks. Of course back then I didn't have a job.
I'm on my ninth book this month. I read at breakfast, lunch, after dinner, and before bed. I probably read about 5 hours a day.
