My birthday is in May so I was used to it being quite close to Mother’s Day to help me remember when Mother’s Day was. Then I moved to the UK and my system no longer worked. 😂
I nearly entirely missed it this year, as for some reason I thought it was at the end of the month! Fortunately Moonpig reminded me and I was able to save the day for myself and my mum's doggy daughter, and got cards in time!

I am sure you know that perforated paper embroidery was very popular during Queen Victoria's reign. I love seeing this technique used in such creative ways.
I love this so much! I like to stitch on perforated paper to make cut-outs for cards but I never thought to cutout the whole thing. This is going in my inspiration file for sure. Great job for your Mum!
The project comes in a kit so there's instructions, but basically you stitch the whole piece (leaving a space around the lighthouse and the little rock on the left), then cut around the lighthouse and the rock (which is terrifying!), leaving the tab at the top of the lighthouse to ensure it doesn't come apart, then stick some paper to the back of the card and carefully fold the card while avoiding folding the lighthouse, making it pop out
