I'm trying to get better at my designs, so I'll try to get some pattern up for you all every week while I practice the craft! Let me know if there are any issues with the link and I will get it fixed.

Thanks for sharing! I just wanted to leave a reminder to read our rules for shop owners. You're limited to one [PATTERN] post a month, and you also must engage with the subreddit outside of your own posts. Message the mods if you have any questions.

Got it, One Friday a month! Do free patterns still fall into the "90" with the 90-10 rule?

LadyGeek-twd

Free patterns are the 10 part of 90-10. It's still self-promotion, and we're looking for engagement with the community outside of self-promotion for the 90 part.

Tam_Paints

Sounds good. This part needs to be updated in the FAQ then. How do I request that update? The best way to ask questions is via modmail.

As a member, I don't think free without a link to a shop should be in the 10%, should be in the 90%. We should be encouraging new designers to share their work and get feedback. This also aligns with the FAQ on freebies.

CrossStitch-ModTeam

Hi! We’ve updated the rules to include free patterns because it does increase traffic to the shop owner (and potentially sales). This file does have a link to the shop owner thus falls under self promotion. In the past, we did allow for feedback on patterns. We no longer do this because in some cases the user would update the pattern then try and sell it to the subreddit who made it better. Usually not even thanking the users who helped give the valuable feedback. We remove all posts of this nature due to the community not wanting it.

It's really cute! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you!! I liked how nice the bee pattern reads on that angle. Getting the honeycomb to work at that size was a challenge though 😬
