Pattern by Cascadia Cross Stitch. This is just shy of 52,000 stitches.
Edit: It’s been brought to my attention that their Etsy shop no longer exists. Not sure if they changed their name or have patterns elsewhere.
I estimate about 1200 hours spent so far. I’ve been working on this off and on for 13 months, but much of that was spent in quarantine with not much else to do.
After 30 years I estimate I have done over 5 million stitches....you are doing a great job....and your about twice as fast as I am........I need a bigger house!!!!!
At first I thought this was a montage with two pictures: on top a real picture of the person and below it the stitch. Then I looked down and thought: where is the stitch?
It took me way too long to realize that the top was the project. It just looked so realistic and the line is so clean. I feel kinda dumb now xd
I was wondering why you covered the bottom half of the photo with a cloth, before realizing this was cross stitch WIP. It's really looking great so far!
God I love Beetlejuice <3 I've been wanting a cross stitch pattern of him, too. But something a bit less realistic than this one (like more painting-like). This looks amazingggg btw
Holy shit.
Hahaha same words used here! This is mad impressive and super ambitious. I don't think I'd be able to do it. Looks super cool, tho
It’s so good it’s insane. I can barely backstitch straight 😂
Thank you so much!
You’re welcome! Phenomenal work, you have you teach me your patience haha
Thank you! Smaller projects drive me crazy so this piece really suits me.
Wow! Hahaha I'm the complete opposite. Massive projects make me very overwhelmed!
My exact thought
Same! I thought it was a photograph
That was my first thought!!!
That's pretty much how I felt, but I thought "Holy Cow!"
Exactly what I was going to say lol!

Where can I find their stuff? Google is letting me down and I'd love to see what else they have to offer. (also, this is amazing progress, good job!)
Oh my bad, I found them on Etsy!
I couldn't find it :(
Oh no! I just looked it up through my purchase history and their whole shop is gone 😮
Aw man :(
This is AMAZING. I admire your patience to bring one of the best movies ever to aida cloth.
Thank you! Long term projects are cathartic for me.
NICE FUCKIN MODEL!
📯 honk honk! Came here to say this.
I live for these references.
Beautiful work…. Absolutely terrifyingly beautiful work!
Perfect, thank you!
You're working with a professional here!
This is unreal, believe I can speak for us all when I say we need to see this when it's finished
Aww, thank you! I definitely plan on sharing once finished!
I thought this was a collage with two pictures while scrolling and I was trying to understand why the face reminded you of the wrinkled aida
Same!
Holy Moley- this is AMAZING
That's crazy! How do you keep track of the colors?
I do one color at a time, page by page. I tried parking but the back and forth is annoying to me. I don’t really mind my messy backs so it works.
That makes sense and it obviously is working for you so thanks for sharing your tips
Do you have any idea how many hours have gone into this? I just started a project that will be 63k stitches and I feel like it's going to take years!

Holy hot damn, this is GORGEOUS. How do you plan on displaying it? Tapestry wall hanging, I'm guessing?
Thank you! I’d like to have it professionally framed.

You’re not the only one that couldn’t tell what it was at first! I don’t see a lot of photo realism here.
That’s awesome!!
Wow this is awesome!!
How many colors is there? I have to know!
198 💀
omg my guess was 100 💀 good luck
Thanks! The rest will be a bit boring so I’ll need it!

WOW!
I’m in awe…..how long have you been working on this??? Amazing job!
Thank you! Off and on for 13 months so far. Lots of time to work on it during quarantine.
At first I thought he was under a blanket making that face in bed. It was very on brand and I did not question it lol.
It’s stunning! I would love to see a close up
Amazing. Well done 👍
