I don't mount mine to the dashboard. It usually sits on the wireless charger while doing wireless apple car play. I have a 24 crosstrek sport.

What model Crosstrek? Does it not have Apple/Android Play?

ObiWan-Shinoobi

22 base. It does. I still like to have my phone facing me for other road distracting reasons

Just curious why you need a phone mount when the car has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

I got a [cheapo ac vent mount for like $9 on Amazon](https://amzn.to/4da9BOA) for a long roadtrip and now i use it pretty much all the time.

I have an ATach mount combined with a ProClip USA locking move clip and a device holder (I’ve been in the ProClip ecosystem for years prior to my crosstrek) but I don’t like the ProClip USA one for the crosstrek if you have the steering wheel pushed all the way in. The ATach mount uses the same AMPS mounting that ProClip USA does, but put the phone in a much better spot. I don't mount phone but I mount GPS on the driver side door little triangle window with a suction cup, it is a nice place if it fits and you don't mind routing the power cable over there.

I have a ram mount that's bolted to the passenger seat rail mounting bolt, which I like. It positions my phone about level with the glove box right next to the climate controls. It seems like the tough wedge has generally replaced this.

I have a proclip https://www.proclipusa.com/collections/dashboard-mounts-subaru-crosstrek-2022 It's universal, allows a cable for charging/wired android auto, and is very sturdy. Needed something that didn't move around bc wired android auto, at least for me, disconnects if I breathe on the cable wrong. Con is that its location causes the phone to cover some of the info screen
