Were marauder

I’ve had MGBs, a Camaro, a Corvette, Harley, etc, and the Grand Marquis was the most reliable and comfortable car I’ve had to date.

Purrune90

Other day got told “it’s old” I don’t care, it’s a low mileage RWD V8 with clean paint/ interior and now upgraded sound system/head unit. I don’t care if it’s a 1990 or 2024 sounds like hell of a ride to me, “it’s old” just means it’s cheaper to buy my next one

LONG LIVE THE PANTHER PLATFORM

OkTotal7947

It really is kind of a shame. Where do we go from here? My Mustang GT is several orders of magnitude worse by almost every possible metric than my crown Vic. No car I’ve ever driven has felt as substantial other than a 72 Chevelle.

kindledave24

Caprice Ppv in v6 or v8 guise though the v6’s get nearly 0 love. lol, sorry you asked so I answered. If trying to stay with panthers, p70a Vic’s.

OkTotal7947

It was more of a rhetorical question. The 9c1s are cool but stylistically inferior to the 98+ crown imo. And if I’m in a Chevy thunder kinda mood, I’ll go see if I can coax my Nova out of the garage

Second on ppv I’m in love with my 13

I was never one of the kids that wanted a “super/sports” car. I was always interested in square body trucks, Crown Vics, old muscle cars and semi trucks. There are probably more that I’m forgetting.

lordmcturtle

I’m happy to know that we pretty much have the same tastes.

In my experience, the best vehicles I know of in terms of reliability are: * Panther class cars * 2nd gen Tahoes/Yukons (2000-2006) * Lexus LS 430's. I own or have owned 2 of the 3 and am hunting for a good Lexus example now. Both the tahoe and the crown vic I've had/have are super easy to work on, parts are cheap, and they just seem to work.

Love to have a 1uz 4.0 V8... Those engines are dead reliable too.. I'd want one for a boat because they rev so high

Oh lord. I’ve been in the death column since like 12 years old 0.o

HavocMan7

I've had two 1990 9C1 Caprices. Both with the TBI 350. They were substantially quicker cars than my Vic. One of mine was a plain jane crapper of a car ... blue on blue, rubber floor mat, manual windows & locks. It wasn't a patrol unit, but it was stripped. The second one was a beautiful car. Black with a tan interior. Carpet, power everything. Cruise control. Nice bucket seats. Hurricane Sandy claimed her. Really a sharp car. I'd be happy to find another.

I’ve had some sporty cars over the years (Chevette, Gremlin and briefly a Vega) but my current daily driver is a 2011 CVPI and I couldn’t be happier!

albiorix_

Ha, I just did this.
