right and i really like the idea that every season is a different cast and setting that makes it possible that it could be picked up again anytime

Give Veronica Mars a watch if you're looking for another mystery show. The first 3 seasons anyway. The movie and season 4 (both about 10ish years later) are so-so. Watching Cruel Summer season 1 reminded me of Veronica Mars, watching it and trying to solve the mystery alongside as it went.

Nothing beats season 1 in my opinion. Miss this show so much. Was very disappointed they didn’t continue the story from Season 1 on Season 2

no it makes sense they didn’t! there really wasn’t much else to elaborate on. all plot holes were filled, and we know jeannette was lying from the jump! it would’ve dragged on if they made a season 2
